I thought I’d be okay with the first two chapters. Turns out, NOT SO FREAKING MUCH!!! I adore Gigi. She’s a British literature-loving historical romance geek and the leading man (who we haven’t officially met yet but are in love with anyway) is a swoon worthy audiobook narrator who is also a tour guide around the patchwork-quilt picture-postcard joyous WONDER that is England. There is literally nothing to dislike so far! I need the rest ASAP! Thank you NetGalley for this little gem!

First of all, thank you NetGalley for the access to the first two chapters. Gigi is already a likable character as is Dory! The duo will definitely bring some comedy to the story and I’m dying to know what happens in England!! I cannot wait to finish the book when it’s published.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

A big thank you to Netgalley & Kensington Books for the preview of the first two chapters!
Let's just say... I'm VERY intrigued. Gigi is relatable in the sense of her being in one place, but her mind is in another. While on a date with a man, she reflects on why it's acceptable for her date to watch the game, but she can't take a book out and read. I've also had this thought!
She gets an opportunity to meet the guy who narrates her favourite romance audio books...
...and she thinks he's the one!
I can't wait to see where it goes from here. Of course, this is a little bit cheesy, but who doesn't like cheese every once in a while?

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishing team for sharing these two chapters!
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be waiting for the full book. The writing style wasn't something I consider engaging and didn't really connect with the main character.

So… I’M HOOKED. Arghhhhh. I know it was only 2 chapters but I can’t wait to get my hands on this book. This ARC was provided by Net Galley and Kensington Books .

I just read the first 2 chapters and I am hooked! I can’t wait to read about the possibility of soul mates! And she loves to read romance novels just like me!!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a preview of “Gigi, Listening” in exchange for an honest review. I can’t wait until this book comes out! I haven’t read Guertin’s work before but now I will. Within the first few pages I feel like I have settled into the protagonist’s voice and personality and I just want her to get what she wants. There are lots of adjectives…lots of descriptive language, but it’s fun and it works. It doesn’t feel like too much. Excited for this one.

Argh, I was just getting into this when it stopped! I should have realised two chapters would not be enough and I'd want more straight away.
Who doesn't daydream after hearing the perfect reading voice narrate to you? The synopsis looks like it has some interesting twists in store! Looking forward to the rest.
Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for this eARC preview. I will update my review when I receive the full manuscript.

The first two chapters sucked me in! I foolishly didn't realize this was only a chapter excerpt, so I was left hanging at the end of chapter 2. I can't wait to read all about Gigi's trip and see what happens along the way.

While this is only the first 2 chapters of the book at the moment and I will update my review once the full ARC is provided, for now I will review the first two chapters and give a star rating based on the assumption that the rest of the book will be as good or better. First, Gigi’s bookstore sounds amazing. I want a bookstore just dedicated to romance books in my town. I can already tell that this book is going to be an homage to romance and for that I absolutely adore it so far. I like Gigi so far and I can really sympathize with her. Online dating seems so unromantic when you’re a romance reader and I love that Gigi won’t settle for less than she deserves. I’m excited for the rest of this book and hope it meets my expectations

I don’t really have a ton to say about this just given that there are only two chapters posted but I would definitively say that I will read the rest of the book when it becomes available. I am a tad worried that there are going to be some scenes in which we get some really awkward moments from our MC but I’m hopeful that those won’t out-way the rest of the plot.

This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Kensington Books and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
A witty, entertaining, fun read. I read it all in one day.

I went in without knowing it would be only chapter 1 e 2.I was disappointed, I wanted to continue reading it. Let's talk about chapters than. Writhing, even though it's very short and might be better troughout the book I didn't quite liked it. In the first chapter I felt that I couldn't follow what was happening, the way that the subject is changed so abruptly leaves you like "what?". The next chapter it was OK, a little bit better than the first, but like I said, just not the write I'm used to. Otherwise the plot was kinda interesting, the character is a Book lover and she's hoping to have a love story like in the books, but, don't we all?! I was sad when the chapter ended and I didn't have more to read. It left me more curious about gigi adventure and how everything is about to turn out! I can't wait to read more!

This was only a small preview of the book but it has me intrigued to read this book when it comes out.
I really liked Gigi!
Thanks NetGalley for this ARC!
