So This Is Christmas by Jenny Holiday is a heartwarming holiday romance novel that follows the story of Delaney and Matteo, two people from different worlds who find love in unexpected places. The author does a great job of creating a festive and cozy atmosphere, and the story is filled with all the classic holiday elements that readers have come to expect from the genre. The characters are likable, and their chemistry is believable and amplified by the "enemies to lovers" feel. However, while the book is enjoyable and a fun read, it doesn't quite reach the heights of the best holiday romance novels out there. The plot is somewhat predictable, and the conflicts feel a little contrived at times. Additionally, the supporting cast of characters, while charming, doesn't get as much development as they could have.
Overall, So This Is Christmas is a good holiday romance novel that will likely appeal to fans of the genre. The book is well-written, and the characters are likable enough to keep the reader invested in their story. However, while the novel is enjoyable, it doesn't quite reach the heights of the best holiday romance novels out there. If you're looking for a cozy and heartwarming holiday read, So This Is Christmas is definitely worth checking out!
This is a cute holiday romance. It was a nice twist the the grumpy sunshine romance because it was just grumpy grumpy. What I didn’t like is that it’s a slow burn without the burn, the characters are not engaging personalities, and therefore the story itself is not that engaging.
Thank you for my advanced copy in exchange for my honest review! If you are looking for a holiday romance with feel good laugh out loud moments look no further! Holiday does it again and I can’t wait to see what she does next!
In the third royal Christmas romance from Jenny Holiday, royal advisor to the Eldovian King, Matteo, falls for American financial advisor, Cara.
I love a royal romance, I love a Christmas romance, and I really love a royal Christmas romance. Was it cheesy? Yes, but it was everything a royal Christmas romance is supposed to be: insta-love, cozy, and full of. holiday cheer. Make sure to read the whole series if you haven't!
This was such a sweet holiday story. Like a book version of a Hallmark movie. While I did enjoy it I did find it a bit slow moving but overall it was an enjoyable holiday nugget.
I own the first two copies of the Christmas in Eldovia series but totally didn't realize it, though this book has convinced me I need to bump them up my reading list I think!
Matteo and Cara are adorable together, and I liked the development of their enemies to lovers vibes! I normally do not enjoy instant love but the time skip in this one gave the relationship space to grow without dragging it out, and all of the important developments happened on the page, IMO.
To be honest I didn't fully understand Cara's job and how she was making partner, but I was able to let go of that because the book takes place in a fake country, I can let some corporate job details slide!
Overall, just a really enjoyable read with a little Christmas sprinkled in.
Thank you to Avon and Net Galley for a copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review!
I couldn't put it down and I didn't want to. This book lived up to every ounce of hype that I had experienced for it. This book is beautifully written; a gripping storyline with strong characters. It ticked all the boxes of my expectations. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Cara is sent to Eldovia to help the King clean up his financial affiars.
She's forced to work with Matteo while the King is otherwise engaged.
They butt heads at every turn of events, but Matteo is becoming quickly attracted to Cara the more time he spends with her, Cara also realizes that she's fighting an attraction that she doesn't wish to fight.
I just reviewed So This Is Christmas by Jenny Holiday. #SoThisIsChristmas #NetGalley
Jenny Holiday does it again with this sweet Christmas story! She is a go to holiday author for me! If you're looking for fun, romantic, sometimes steamy holiday reads, look no further!
So This is Christmas By Jenny Holiday is the third and last book in the Christmas in Eldovia series. At the time of my request, I didn’t know that this book was a part of a series but I decided just to read it because it sounded very good and just like what I needed at the time. And, to be honest it can be read as a standalone if you decided to do so, because I for one didn’t feel like I was missing information that I could find in the other two books.
Apart from that, I can say that it was a very cute and wholesome rom-com. Both Matteo and Cara were likable characters and I enjoyed their interactions very much. It was a fun and easy read that described very well the feeling of Christmas.

Thank you Jenny Holiday, NetGalley, and Avon and Harper Voyage for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This book is the third book in a series, but I did not read the other two so it can definitely be a stand alone. This is a cute Christmas book that takes place in Eldovia. Cara is headed to Eldovia to help handle the king's affairs and watch business. Matteo is devoted to the crown when he is assigned to Cara.
Matteo and Cara were a great grumpy/sunshine pairing. The story had plenty of side characters, winter activities and the perfect Christmas town that I would love to visit.
I was so excited for the final installment of the Princess for Christmas series!!

Eldovia is such a dreamy setting, especially at Christmas time! I actually wanted more Christmas!! There was so much time spent on Cara and Mateo’s jobs and I felt like it took some of the Christmas magic away. I lived for scenes like the hot springs and the sleigh ride!

I liked Cara and Matteo but it was a little too slow burn for me. It did have a very sweet ending. 🛷⛸️❄️

All in all I’m sad the series has come to an end. Loved me some Leo!!! 😍

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the author for my early review copy!!
Way too much of a slow burn. I found myself bored at times but I did love the rest of the series so if you have read them, might be worth checking out. It was festive!
This book felt like reading a hallmark movie. While it was a little cheesy, it was a fun holiday read and I don’t regret reading it at all. The enemies to lovers paired with the Christmas town made it a story that was right up my alley.
I enjoyed this installment of the series, but not as much as the first two. I think it would be a great read for someone looking for a slow-burn winter romance to read curled up in front of the fire.
This book is the third in a series, but it is easily a stand-alone as I didn’t read the first two.
This book had a lot of potential to be a really great book, but for me it just fell really flat. It was good enough that I could finish it, but not my favorite.
Not so Grumpy/sunshine, more just Grumpy....
Cara's character felt way too boring. There wasn't much character development.
And Matteo started so strong as a grumpy type but didn't stay that way.
Overall, I wouldn't read again.
A nice and sweet romance with vivid characters. Not my favorite Jenny Holiday but still a good one! I'll read more from her.
I love Jenny Holiday's holiday romances and this one did not disappoint! The cover is so cute for starters. The plot and characters were also incredibly cute and charming. The setting really got me in the swing of the holiday season.
Matteo Benz devotes himself to the Eldovian crown. When he is tasked to aid the consultant hwho is going to help straighten out the king's affairs, he's uncertain how how she's going to handle it and not disturb Eldovia. Meanwhile, Cara is here to do a job and in a constant battle with Mr. Benz as they both struggle to see each other's position. When they start to work together, they realize that maybe the other isn't as bad as they originally thought.
This really had all the makings of a Hallmark-esque story. In fact, it was a Hallmark-esque story! Even with that being the case, and this having so many holiday vibes, the heart just wasn't there for me.
A lot of the plot is focused on the business aspect. On how Cara is going to handle the king's affrais and hopefully do it in a way that lays off as few people as possible in the process. Matteo ends up helping her along the way as they begin to discover more about what is going on. I don't know if it was because that was a big focus of it or what, but it was a bland read for me. The plot was nothing spectacular. Nothing stood out from it. It didn't have a surprise or even predictable twist that had me a little interested in what was going on. It was there.
Unfortunately, Cara and Matteo fell into that same boat. There was nothing spectacular about that that made them characters that were going to have a lasting impression or even one that would last for more than half an hour after finishing the book.
Their romance didn't feel like a romance. It felt more like they were coworkers than anything. There was such a lack of chemistry between them that I sometimes forgot this was supposed to be a romance story.
I haven't read the other stories in this series, so I don't know if having more back story about the world would have helped any. I'm still curious about the other two in this series, but this one fell flat and didn't work for me.
4 stars!
This whole series is delightful Christmas fun. I do think that I liked the previous two more than this one, but they are still all worth the read!
Matteo Benz has been working for the Eldovian crown for years, but now things are getting dicey and a management consultant, Cara Delaney, has been hired to come in from America. Cara is very focused on her job and knows that she is going to ruffle some feathers, but the two of them clash more than expected. Their attraction may be the most unexpected part of the whole job.
Matteo and Cara were the perfect grumpy / sunshine pairing. There was a lot of additional depth with the subplots and side characters, and a great dose of Christmas cheer. Overall, the book was a lot of fun and I kept finding myself seeing how I could sneak away to get a few more pages in!
