As the parent of a child with sensory processing disorder, this book is PERFECT!

My son doesn't like loud and/or busy places. He gets very anxious at parties that are noisy with a lot of people. This is a great way to show children with sensory processing disorder, or kids that just like quiet settings. that they are not alone. That there are other people in the world - just like them!

This is a great story for folks that like it loud AND people that like it quiet. This tale shares a different perspective for everyone to enjoy and a way to learn that we don't all need to be the same. The adorable and fun illustrations help you to fall even deeper in love with snail (though I must say I do have a soft spot in my heart for stump too!).

What an unforgettable story... it makes me want to Shhellebrate (quietly)!

Grateful to have received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley & Owlkids Books, Owlkids

Am I....Snail? I felt a deep connection to Snail while reading this book! What an adorable story about Snail, a party loving snail who loves parties that are of the quiet variety. He finds that he's different from his friends because they thrive and jive when it's loud but Snail prefers to party in his heart and with the music down low. Snail decides to throw his own epic quiet party and is having a great time until he feels like something is missing. What is he missing?!

Sometimes you just need to find the right friend to thrive and jive with you in the way that comforts your heart! This friendship story between Snail and Stump is heartwarming and teaches young readers that not all people party in the same way and that's okay! What a great lesson on accepting different personalities as they are. I would love to incorporate this book into the beginning of the year as my young students are getting to learn more about one another and themselves!

Thank you NetGalley and OwlKids Books for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

How To Party Like a Snail is a cute children's book! It's about a snail who likes to party but doesn't like when it gets loud, they stop getting invited, then they throw their own and feel like there's something missing. Their friend who also likes the quiet joins and it ends happily ever after. I would have liked to see the other animals in the book accept this or something like that. There's a lot of children with sensory issues that will connect with the snail.

How to Party Like a Snail is a really fun book about a snail that doesn't like loud parties. I really loved his quiet party and how sweet it was with Stump. I liked all the different animal characters, fun illustrations. I think this book would be great for a child who likes quiet.

This is a really cute picture about a snail who likes to think of himself as a party animal. But Snail only likes certain types of parties, like the ones where everyone is quiet. He starts to feel disappointed when he stops getting invited to loud parties, but then decides to host his own, quiet party. This book is cute and funny and I think that young readers will love it! I would recommend this book for parents and teachers of children in the age 3-8 range. As a Grade 3 teacher I could definitely see my students enjoying this book. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this book!

How to Party Like a Snail is a picture book that perfectly straddles the line between a fun, entertaining story and a perfect way to begin a discussion with children on the way we all experience the world differently. Snail loves their friends and the opportunity to gather with them at parties but finds the noise and energy level to be too much for them at times. At first the other's don't understand the way Snail interacts and stop inviting them, however eventually everyone finds a way to come together again. The illustration style is adorable and will appeal to children in both preschool and elementary school and the story is fun and easy to follow. The real bright spot of this book though is the way in which it showcases Snail's differences and how they can be accommodated to ensure everyone is having fun. All of us interact with the world around us in different ways and a little understanding goes a long way. I highly recommend this book and will be purchasing it for my libraries.
