Africa Risen is a collection of short SFF stories written by African and Afrodiasporic authors.

Collections of stories written by different authors may be hard to go through due to the different storytelling styles and themes. The book doesn’t feel very organic, under that point of view.

I enjoyed some of the stories better than others: my absolute favorite is Mami Wataworks.

Anyway, I recommend Africa Risen to anyone willing to give a chance to little-known fantasy authors.

I requested this one because it might be an upcoming title I would like to review on my Youtube Channel. However, after reading the first several chapters I have determined that this book does not suit my tastes. So I decided to DNF this one.
