My kids (ages 7 and 9) are big into Minecraft. This was a great book to get them interested in reading, though it was a little too advanced for them to read on their own (and they both read above their grade level). The content is great for an elementary school age kid, but I think the reading level skews more middle school/jr. high level.

The storyline is fun and adventurous and makes the reader feel like they are part of the game. There are so many gaming stories out there that are poorly written, this story is well written and exciting for a young reader.

I really enjoyed how it included familiar words, characters and components of Minecraft that are sure to captive a Minecraft fans attention!!
