This is an urban fantasy series and it is essential that you start with the first book in the series. I am really loving this series and I think Pinky has got to be my favorite secondary character of all time.
Ash has lost some of his appeal in this book. I cant quite put my finger on it but I am just not as interested in him. Becs still kick ass and I love her but she can do better I think.
I really hope there are more books in this series because I am heavily invested in the outcome and I really need more Pinky. He is just a sweetheart.
I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. Becs can't seem to get a break just when she thinks she has a moment to breathe it is snatched away. She thought she got her dad back safely only for him to be taken again. Now she is literally going to Hell to get him back. It is not an easy trip. The people she is taking with her have issues of their own. It just adds another layer of danger and complications to what she is already carrying on her shoulder. I am still being amazed by these books.
As the third book in a series, I highly recommend you start at book 1. There's already a lot of baggage up to this point that is necessary to understand how we ended up on this quest.
What's the quest? Well, Becs is going to hell to save her dad. Seems almost too simple, but gets infinitely more complicated thanks to her companions - an angry mobster with mommy issues and a guardian angel with sexy time fantasies for Becs. The cast of characters is great, though since this is a bit of a roadtrip book, we miss the bar crowd mostly. Happily, Becs is still her tough as nails self, who manages to stumble/trip/fall her way through this adventure. I'm enjoying the world building that grows with each book and though we don't come out of this one with everyone happy, we get some good progress towards an eventual showdown (I assume).
The adventure continues - demons, angels, fae, wizards, witches, and a mobster? And lets not forget a guest appearance by the Morningstar! Don't forget the ongoing almost-relationship with Becs and Asher - no spoilers here. Waiting for the next one!
Hell Bound book #3 in the Summoner’s Mark trilogy serves up another delightful adventure as heroine Rebecca Greenblatt now has to enter Hell to rescue her father from the clutches of Duke Valefar.
The chaos continues the action is just as energetic and palpable with well-crafted characters, flaws and all keeping the excitement riotously flowing along at a good pace with its great writing.
This has been a wonderful Urban Fantasy and the surprising epilogue teases maybe Bec’s story isn’t quite finished just yet!
This is the third nook in the series and I would recommend reading the previous books first to set the worldbuilding and characters in place .
Becs has survived her trip to faerie but in the process lost her father , again , to Valefar and Hell .
Determined to rescue him at all costs she must track down her missing "angel" lover , enlist the help of a mobster with his own agender and evade those who want to use her for their own benefit .........which would be detrimental to her future wellbeing .
I enjoyed this latest journey , a dangerous journey , full of twists and turns with moments of sadness - I hope this is not the end for Becs' storyline .
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
I'm liking this series and liked this story which I found entertaining and compelling.
Good world building, character and plot development.
The characters are likeable and interesting.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
I really liked the first 2 books. I had a hard time finishing this one. The characters were spot on, and the story was engaging and action packed. I thought the trip through Hell had too many "corny" scenes. The finish did redeem the book for me and left a door open for more in this world.
If you like action, some loving, and a great storyline, then this is the book for you.
I got caught up in this book and couldn't put it down.
I’ve been reading this series, and I have enjoyed it quite a bit. I started this one, and I was sure I was going to quite enjoy this one as well as I liked the first two. Becs is a strong character, and I like that the focus isn’t on her romance with Asher. We see her stand and work alone, more with him as a partner. And when terrible things happen (no spoilers!), she can still function even though sad. And, I am so blown away by the ending, I can’t wait to see what’s coming next as I hope this wasn’t the end. Great urban fantasy, wonderful writing, intriguing characters (love Pinky!), and an enthralling plot. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
