This was a good read. It did have some good depth to it about weight, identity, and authenticity. I was approved for the audio book and it was engaging. The email exchanges got a bit hard to follow sometimes with the usernames being read off, but that isn't a huge chunk of the book.

This is my first book from this author and it was a fun rom com. This is a slowburn, office friends to lovers story. You can see the characters growth/development through out this book. I adored Blaine and Lysander and their connection that they had. I also thought the dual narration was great in this. I would definitely read more.

I enjoyed listening to this book way more than I initially thought. The audiobook is great and this slow-burn romance kept me hooked throughout. I loved this book because of many reasons- it's very well written, the pace is perfect (not-to-fast or not-to-slow), it's a sweet workplace romance, the characters are so relatable and this book is also themed around body-positivity/accepting & loving yourself.

Blaine has a crush on Lysander, the guy from the IT department. Soon, they become friends and though Blaine keeps on dropping hints that she likes Lysander, he has no idea. When Lysander is transferred to California, Blaine misses her chance of telling him how she really feels. And when he comes back, he's not alone. Has Blaine missed her chance forever?

I listened to this book in a day and this cozy-sweet romance has my heart. Thanks NetGalley for this ARC!

I really enjoyed listening to You’re My IT. I thought the characters were like-able, very quirky and charming. The book progressed at a good speed. It was hard to pause it, I just wanted to keep going. The narrators were both great; easy to listen too. Lately I have been finding it difficult to carve out time to read a physical book so I am glad I had the opportunity to listen to this book. This was a sweet read to break up my reading slump.

I received this book as an arc for my honest review. Thank you to C.N. Holmberg and NetGalley for it.

This was such a fun. light and an easy read.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own. This was an audiobook and I appreciated the narrator though I loved listening to it on 1.5x speed. The book follows Blaine who has had a crush on the IT guy at her workplace for some time. She takes advantage of his absence to psych herself to pour out her feelings but when he returns he is different. If you love a workplace romance then you will love this book.

What a cute modern romance. Blaine was relatable, and Lysander, despite his
cluelessness, was lovable and endearing. There were many hiccups on the road to finding love, but all added to the story without leaving me frustrated by simple miscommunications or unrealistic plot twists. I could have done without the subtle fat shaming toward Lysander’s father, the book would have been refreshingly body positive otherwise. All in all an enjoyable and light read.

4 stars

Enjoyable audiobook. Blaine has a crush on the IT guy at work but is scared to come out and tell him directly and Lysander is not great at picking up on clues. When Lysander returns from a six month work assignment having lost weight, he is uncomfortable with all the attention. Interesting twist on typically covered body issues.

Narration by Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro was well done.

What a cute little book showing that what's on the inside, not the outside, is really what counts.

Blaine and Lysander (interesting names!) work in the same tech building. They have been instant messaging for quite a while and slowly getting to know each other. Blaine has had a crush on Lysander, but has been too shy to say something and missed her opportunity when he is transferred to another location.

Flash forward 6 months and Lysander comes back more confident, unrecognizable and looking like a hottie~boom~bottie. His father's health scare made him take a look at this own habits and make some changes. Now he's having a tough time figuring out if the person showing interest in him is shallow or really likes him for him.

I always love when there are dual pov's because we get to really see what they are thinking. Then we get to shout, UGH!, why are you saying that ~ can't you see that they like you!! Eventually they get their happily ever after, but not without a few misunderstandings along the way.

This was a quick listen at 6 hours and 2 minutes, easy to follow along at 2x. I've listened to a few books narrated by Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro and they did a lovely job.

I really enjoyed this clean, slow burn, office romance and I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

Arc Review Alert! You're my I.T.
By: C.N. Holmberg 30/50📚

My Summary
A cute work place romance. Although this book had a slow start the main narrator Kelsey Navarro kept it interesting. It's my first read by @cnholmberg and I would read from her again. Blaine who has been crushing on her co worker Lysander for two years and thinks she's in love with him. She's finally able to build up the courage to tell him how she feels only for him to accuse of her of being attracted to him because of his new look due to his weight loss. He struggles to belive that she truly likes him and has for a really long time.

This book is very much what you see is what you get: short, sweet, and fun. Blaine is adorable and I could totally relate to her being hesitant to confess her feelings to another guy after some truly horrible experiences. But she still put herself out there and I wanted to cheer her on all the way. I also liked how the book tackled more serious topics, like body shaming and how others perceive us. The storyline was well thought out and Blaine really blossomed over the course of it.
My only problem - and I cannot believe I'm saying this - was Lysander. I didn't like him at all. I was totally impressed with his health journey and how realistically he viewed his progress, especially as his family wasn't exactly supportive. Essentially I just didn't get why Blaine liked him. Beyond his initial shyness and interest in tabletop games and fantasy/sci-fi movies, he didn't leave much of an impression on me in terms of personality traits. Also he kind of treated Blaine like a jerk... it's one thing to think someone is not interested in you, but the way he elevated Blaine in his mind felt a bit weird, especially because he then suddenly believed the worst of her. His central issue throughout their tentative friendship is that he first doesn't believe she even really likes him because she's friendly with everyone and then that she is influenced by his new looks. While I completely agree that there were some shitty people treating him totally different, just because he lost weight, he also admits that he became much more confident and friendlier, which the reader can definitely see in the way he interacts with others. But what really got me was how Lysander complained about the women on the dating app he himself was using. Yes, dating apps are very much focused on appearance, because that's the first thing we notice about each other, especially if you only have pictures and a short bio to go on. It must have been difficult to deal with the fact, that Lysander was now perceived as "hot" (though Blaine describes him as very cute before he lost weight) and being treated differently because of it. I'm just wondering how he is choosing the women he meets, then. Because the one he dates after meeting on the app is describes as very attractive. If judging on attractiveness alone is so unfair, why did he choose a very beautiful women, he does not have anything in common with? The double-standard really annoyed me, because Lysander continuously complains about people placing importance on appearance in general, but we don't see him date anyone deemed "unattractive" but with similar interests as him. I just really wish Lysander would have been a more likable character, because pretty much anything else worked really well.

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this audiobook. All opinions are my own.

You're My IT follows Blaine, a technical writer who's been secretly in love with Lysander, the IT guy for a year. The pair slowly build a friendship through daily IMs about anything and everything. When Lysander has to go to California for work for six months, Blaine's determined to tell him how she feels when he returns. Only Lysander returns 50 pounds lighter and sceptical of any romantic advancements, as he thinks every woman is only interested in him now he's lost weight. But is Blaine different?

Blaine was a likeable protagonist. She was loyal, caring and determined, even after one too many dating disasters. She was also quite a bad-ass, enjoying roller derby and riding a motorbike. Meanwhile, Lysander is the opposite and is quite shy. But they have such a great connection and friendship through their mutual nerdy interests.

Getting a male's perspective on how people treat you differently after a change in appearance was really interesting. I didn't love the way he handled Blaine's confession, but hey, they got their happily ever after in the end.

Now, one more thing. Be warned that is the slowest of slow burns and kissing only. I selfishly wanted more time to see them actually together and to see their relationship develop further. I think the twist at the end was also unnecessary.

If you like friends to lovers and workplace romances, I'm sure you'll enjoy this book. It was a quick audiobook listen with great narrators.

You’re My I.T.
by C.N. Holmberg

This is a cute office drama romance.

Shy guy nerdy guy meets the dating world.

Realistic and sweet, giving the reader a glimpse of (what if he had gotten the hint) type of ever after.

I enjoyed the quick description flow of the story. Plenty of internal dialog was provided for the characters.

I would recommend this to any my corporate office friends who enjoy a light romance. Any in the I.T. Department for sure.

A light fun satisfying read. I gave this audiobook ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Thank you C.N. Holmber - NetGalley - and tantor audio for providing me with a copy of the audio for my review.

Solid 3.5-3.75

I jumped at the chance to be able to listen to this book. Thank you to the author, #Netgalley and Tantor Audio for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

The cover and description immediately caught my attention. I, myself am an IT nerd and was looking forward to that connection with the characters. Being fully remote, it was fun to remember the quirks of office life (both bad and good). You get the cake in the break room but also the not so pleasant coworker lunch smells. The author really played well into the office humor and I really enjoyed it.

I was instantly routing for Blaine and drawn to Lysander. I thought their friendship was fun and developed well. I loved the support Blaine got from her friends to try and take things to the next level with Lysander. I wish Lysander would’ve had at least one confidant that could’ve helped him see what was right in front of him. I will say the slow burn went on for the majority of the book and then wrapped up so quickly. I am all for the friends to lovers troupe, but feel like the lovers portion did not get the attention it deserved after investing SO much in the build up. The storyline at the end with Blaine’s family did make logical sense to wrap things up, but I think that major addition took away from the exciting part of a blossoming new relationship. I wish we could’ve experienced a bit more of both.

I am glad in the end that both characters seem to recognize their worth as it relates to both physical appearance and as an employee in the workplace.

So many little things about the book that I loved- the escape room, the tattoo reveals, all of the roller derby. I also thought the narration was great and it flowed well!

Overall, this was a fun rom-com and I would read the next in the series.

This book was really heckin' cute.
It isn't a surprise that I've been trying to read books with plus-size characters, but this is the first that included a love interest who was plus-size. Though, most of the book took place after he lost weight... It was still nice to see.

Blaine has had a crush on the IT guy at work for two years. Lysander leaves for a work trip to California for 6 months. She plans on spilling her feelings when he returns, but he comes back looking like a new person, after losing 50 pounds, with a girl on his arm.

This was a cute, light and fluffy romance! I enjoyed it, but I didn’t feel super connected to the characters. I liked Lysander’s character, he was so awkwardly cute.

I listened to the audiobook of You’re My IT, I enjoyed listening to it, the narrators did a great job at telling the story.

Overall, I enjoyed the story but didn’t feel super connected to either of the characters. It was still worth the read!

𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘺 𝘐.𝘛. follows Blaine and Lysander and the gradual progression of their relationship over the course of many individual battles.

I recieved the audiobook as an arc and the narration was well done, sadly however, audiobooks are just not for me. With that in mind, I've written this review entirely on the basis of what the plot provided.

As the synopsis states, Blaine has pined over Lysander for over two years. She likes him for who he is - a shy, introverted, Marvel fan who deals with insecurities regarding his figure - and not for the Lys 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 his weight reduction journey.
Unfortunately, this pining occupies more than 75% of the plot and it's just painfully slow.

The characters shared adorable chemistry and had a sweet connection but the misunderstanding trope was rather frustrating, so by the time they got together I was mostly over it and them.

I will, however, applaud how well done the intricacies of complications regarding weight reduction or gain were. There were very genuine and valid problems and issues discussed that will resonate with most.

Overall, this is a short and sweet read. The characters are dynamic (love seeing male representation of self-image), the romance was cute, and it was fun to listen to in the car. I do have to say that the plot structure and progression of the romance did annoy me a bit -- the climax/resolution felt so rushed and the story starts out with the narrator already in love with the guy, so we didn't really get to see anything build, which is the best part of romance novels, in my opinion. This would be a good book to bring with you to the pool or listen to while driving to work.
