It was cute and the dual pov helped you connect to both characters as they grew individually and together. I never wanted this to end

There was definitely something magical about this book - it was heartwarming, heartbreaking, and absolutely engaging. I definitely didn't expect the way that this book would unfold - and I absolutely adored it.

This book started out strong for me. I loved Hannah and Davey. Their meet story was so cute and so full of anticipation. Then it didn’t happen and I was so sad, I actually had a hard time reading through it. The the vacation with George and I was like ahhh Davey was the Gateway to George, so spicy. Then they came back to London, and I think the correct term for George is wanker. I hated how he treated Hannah. And Davey was with Charlotte and I wanted to scream she was killing him literally! But I LOVE Grant, he did the hard thing out of love and desperation. And thankfully it worked. The ending kept me in suspense!

The idea of meeting the man of your dreams through a random text is a bit inconceivable, but this story was just lovely. You will laugh, you will get all the feels and you will need to keep tissues close.

My feelings are all over the place after finishing this book. I was up and down and up again. It was so well written and the characters so flawed and real. One character is British, and it is partially set in England, so there are lots of British phrases that were fun to catch. You saw the characters face pain, hurt, and love all in a years time, and it felt so real. If you are feeling like taking a journey with some pain, some romance, and lots of travel and life throw in, this book is for you.

I've started this book multiple times and just can. Not. Get. Into it. I hate that. The premise is interesting but author and writing style aren't for me. And that's okay <3

You could not ask for a more heartwrenching, heartwarming, and authentic book. Elle Cook completely took these characters and this story and made them encircle my life for a whole weekend.
Hannah lives in London and takes a call from Davey- only Davey called the wrong number and was calling about a job in London. Davey was looking to relocate from the United States to London. Davey then texts Hannah to let her know that he got the job he mistakenly called her about. They are both single, and end up casually texting... and talking... and facetiming until they realize that it isn't casual anymore- they have feelings for one another. Hannah makes to pick up Davey from the airport, but Davey doesn't show....

This fucking book has me openly sobbing as I finish it. Oh my god! This slowburn killed me.

Even though they never met I was rooting for them. I wanted them to finally get over their shit and speak (!!) and just admit their feelings (!!). So painful!!

The premise is what really hooked me and the writing style really fit the story.
I will be picking up more books by Elle Cook that's for sure.

While I enjoyed aspects of this book, I found the love interest in England to be confusing. I couldn't understand their relationship. It made me dislike the main character (and the book). wouldn't recommend.

In a post-covid world, I think everyone is searching for connections in places we didn’t really look for it before. Call me crazy, but I feel like the idea of starting a relationship with someone you met due to a wrong number is maybe…kinda…possible today? I genuinely enjoyed getting to see Hannah and Davey’s relationship blossom. This book will make you feel giddy and excited, but will also bring you to tears. There’s definitely more sadness than giddiness, so I wouldn’t recommend this one if you’re looking a light read. Overall, though, I enjoyed getting to read through Hannah and Davey’s love story.

I went from smiling and being so excited to mad and disappointed to heartbroken and devastated.
I absolutely love this trope - the accidental message turns into missed connection and romance. Is that even an actual recognized trope? I don't know but if it isn't it should be!
This book was devastating and lovely. Definitely would recommend!

Gosh, I love a book with great character development. Not only did I love the characters here, but I felt for them and the struggles they went through. The writing was great and made me think I could be friends with them lol Super quick read for me and I'm more of a RomCom girly when this lead more women's fiction.

I had really high hopes for this book based on the synopsis and was so excited when I received an ARC of it. I read this last year and to be honest I sat on writing my review for a really long time because I was so torn on what I liked about the story versus what I didn't like. I also made the mistake of reading other people's reviews to see what they thought of the story, and I honestly felt like I had read a different book than everyone else because there was so much that everyone seemed to like but that I just couldn't stomach. Or people left quite a lot out of their reviews that were the parts that I focused the most on, and as a result I didn't jump straight into writing a review and then time slipped away.

To be honest, my favorite parts of the book were the little bit of POV that we got from Daniel. I wanted so much more from just him. The texts and phone calls and stuff between him and Hannah were great, but all the other stuff - the relationship of Hannah with George? What an unnecessary waste, and a huge detractor for me in this book!

The little bit we got of Hannah and Daniel, finally together at the end, was just not enough. I need so much more! Ugh, I hate when books end so abruptly like this one without enough of the couple together to satisfy my need for their HEA. At any rate, I really thought this story was going to be completely different than what we got.
