The Man I Never Met is an adorable story I enjoyed throughout. Hannah & Davey are great characters and I loved every minute of their journey. The cover is amazing and will catch the attention of many readers. Elle Cook is a writing genius and I can't wait to read her next one.

I loved this story. It had such a "meet cute", then events transpired to keep Davey and Hannah apart. This hit me right in the feels and I did boo-hoo a few times. All the characters were great, although George was a bit flat but that served the story. I did want to smack Hannah a few times for putting up with things that she could have controlled, but once again, it was her character flaw and it served the story. I would read more from Cook.

I was not expecting to love this as much as I did! Elle Cook takes us on the journey of a modern day romance. Her character development is so strong that you can't help but feel like Hannah's friends are your own. I found myself laughing, filled with happiness and sometimes weeping over the journey Hannah & Davey faced.

This is a sweet, British romantic drama (rom-drom?!) that starts with an American man, Davey, misdialing the number of his job interview and instead reaching a woman named Hannah. The two of them feel an inexplicable yet undeniable connection and continue to communicate via texts which escalate into phone calls, and so on. As Davey aces his interview and prepares to move to London, the feelings Davey and Hannah have for each other grow. But how will they feel about each other when they finally meet in person? They might never find out as Davey receives some unexpected news…

The Man I Never Met features likable characters you want to root for and the chemistry between Hannah and Davey feels palpable. There are some twists and turns and we get to hear the story from Hannah’s and eventually, Davey’s points of view. Details like Hannah’s relationship with her neighbor, Joan, and their coffee tasting and rating ritual add to the charm of the story.

Many thanks to the publisher for the opportunity to read an ARC via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I always enjoy sentimental , honest, genuine love stories about two people who form an intimate bond even though they haven’t seen each other physically. That Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail vibes always create romantic awakening effect on me!

This book started sweet-soft- swoon kind of romance but than things get way too much dramatic with big pulling the rug out from under moment!

At the beginning we’re introduced Hannah in her mid twenties, living a peaceful but mostly lonely life in London. But when she answers a wrong number, she meets with Texan guy, in early thirties, everything starts changing completely. That lovely guy who tries to call for job interview is Davey and after the call ends, Hannah thinks she won’t hear from him but she cannot be so wrong.
I just devoured the pages and kept smiling as I read their interactions. I loved how their relationship developed in a short term.

It is heartwarming to witness how their friends bloom over texts, video calls. Hannah cannot be happier that Davey will move to London sooner so they may take a next step to their relationship.

Hannah is ready to meet him at the airport for their first meeting face to face. But after likely three hours at the airport, she realizes he’s not gonna show up and she keeps calling him but she cannot reach him. Finally Davey calls him and … big unexpected ( way too much dramatic) twist later, we realize the fate’s big twist prevents them to be together.

Will they have a chance to beat the fate and find their way to each other or this will be broken love story resolved with ugly tears, angsty screams!

You need to read and find out!

I dropped one point because I was expecting a feel good, swoon romance but this book was more depressing and sadder than I expected.
It was still well written, well developed and enjoyable.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing/ Ballantine/ Dell for sharing this digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest opinions.

This book was fantastic. As I was reading, I couldn’t help but become so attached to Hannah’s character that I couldn’t put the book down and I read the whole thing in a day. This is a romance book that is so unlike other romance book in the best way possible. I will definitely be recommending it to friends!
