This is a great start and leaves you wanting more. This is a great mix of magic, vampires and lost love. Lexa is smart and driven to survive if not thrive. I enjoyed this and look forward to seeing where the author takes us.
I was advised that I received the wrong version of this book, so I will bot be providing feedback at this time but will be very eager awaiting for the completed version
Received email from author saying she uploaded the wrong version of the book to NetGalley. As a result, she archived the title and plans to work on it some more and double- and triple-check everything. Would like to read/review the book once it has been uploaded again.
Lexa Kozlov must pay off her family's massive debt to the mob... all while raising even more money to save her little sister. The result? A never-ending (and incredibly illegal) stakeout for the Bratva. Lexa barely has time to sleep, let alone find love.
Enter Caelin Vass, the handsome Scotsman who runs Empire Investments. Caelin offers Lexa a new job with dollars galore, as well as a hot bod (his own) to contemplate every workday. Even so, Lexa isn’t sure. Freaky things keep happening whenever Lexa and Caelin are alone. The energy between them is magical, sensual, and way overwhelming.
Is Lexa leaving her old prison just to enter a worse one… or is Caelin Vass all he seems and more?
***12,000 word novella, part of a series previously published on Kindle Vella***
The author emailed me a day after I downloaded this ebook to tell me that she had not fully edited and prepared the book to her standard and therefore would be archiving and returning it to Netgalley after she is happy with the result. I made it about 30% through and was already in love with it, so I'm excited to finish it when the author is ready!
This was truly awful! It wasn't even a book. it left a lot of questions unanswered.. I don't even know why it was on here to request
I really like this cover. This was a super short quick read. The broody, alpha, Scottish vampire was a nice character but other than that this was a very forgettable story. I didn't see the point of starting the book at the end and then working our way back to it. I also don't understand the violin part of this title because it has nothing to do with the story. Am I expected to just know these characters already because that's what it feels like.
Four star read for me.story and characters
Great story and characters.
The writing needs improvement but it has potential.
Love a good vmpire story.

I was informed that I received the wrong version of this book. Out of respect for the author, I won't read it. I'll wait until the right version comes available. All I can say for now is that my first impressions were really good. I don't mind waiting a bit more, it seems like it's really worth it.
Just wanted to start this review by saying thank you to the author and netgalley for allowing me access to read this short story, I confirm that this is all my honest opinions and thoughts on this book.
The pros of this book are that I liked the main character she seemed fun and kick-ass, and I liked the point of view the book is set in as I like first-person books. I also liked the start of the connection between the main two characters as well as I liked the descriptions of some of these books.
On the other hand, there were a few points that went against this book. Firstly, some characters were not consistent from the start of the book to the end of the book, I didn't like the loop type style of this book but that's my personal preference. This seemed awfully short and littered with grammar mistakes, spelling errors and lacking some more information in scenes to make them seem more immersive and believable.
Despite all this, I probably will read the full novel this is the novella for and hope that it has been cleaned up and developed.
Entertaining and dark in its core, this was a delightfully surprising read. Excellently penned and with a whimsical edge to it, prevent graciously and easily, like a good smooth whisky. Good stuff.
Firstly this is such a stunning front cover and I was so ezxcited to read it. I had just started it when I got an email from the author stating that the wrong book had been downladed. I was disappointed because this book looked awesome so I look forward to hopefully reading it soon.
This was an okay book but I think it would have worked better as a full length novel than a novella. I did like the main character and I liked exploring her life a little bit, however, I think the romance and those kinds of elements were rather underdeveloped and would benefit from more development.
I was informed that I received the wrong version of this book. I will abstain from providing feedback at this time but will be very anxiously waiting for the completed copy to be available.
Personally, I am obsessed with this cover art and have to give a shout out for how beautiful it is. Sadly, I have been informed that I was sent the wrong version of the book so out of respect for the author, I will not be leaving full feedback and hope to add it back to my TBR soon! Thank you for the update and for keeping us informed.
Thank you to the publisher and the author for this ARC.
The wrong copy was sent out, but I will be sure to read the updated version when it arrives!
Mmm... I didn't like it very much. Maybe because it's too short and didn't talk almost about the jobs.
I liked the vampires living among humans, and the sex fantasies not bad, but in general, not my favourite.
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Mmm....
the story seems very interesting and I appreciate the character of the protagonist. the problem that I encountered and that does not allow me to give more stars is that the story is too short to be able to express a more complete judgment. I have not been able to understand where the author wants to go and what she wants to convey with her her story about her. what do violins have to do with the plot? the cover is truly wonderful
I didn't realize it was not a book but a prologue. What I read was horrible and that's all I can say about that.
The characters had amazing chemistry, however, the overall plot was missing points. I wanted more background on how they met. It felt like I started in the middle of a book.
