This is the second book in The Switch series. I read the first one and enjoyed it very much and this one also did not disappoint. If you haven't read the first one, I would highly recommend reading that first, to get the full effect of the story. The story was unique and fun with a well-written plot that caught my attention from the beginning and kept my interest till the end. After reading Jesse's story in book 1, I was looking forward to reading more about Scott and Monica. When Scott and Jesse switch places, it was only meant to be for a couple of hours. Well, it didn't quite work out that way and we get to see how family really comes through for each other.
Scott and Monica were really great together. I liked how sweet and patient he was with Monica, who was so guarded and such a workaholic. I liked watching their relationship grow as they faced their issues. It was also nice to see the brothers become closer as well.
A very entertaining and enjoyable story - I hope to read more by this author in the future!

Scott and Jesse's story is the second in the series. I hadn't read the first which was probably a mistake. You can pick the story up but it did feel a bit muddled and I didn't feel that it flowed well until about half way through. The business/ science part of the story felt a bit ridiculous and I couldn't take that seriously so that lost a few points for me. I like fiction but that just didn't work for me. The romance was okay but the main characters didn't seem to have much fight in either of them. Not for me I'm afraid

This was a very good story. The story was full of humour, fun antics & extreme sensual tension, as well as some great intrigue. It felt like the other side of the story in Strictly Business as it was happening while things were happening or had just happened in the first book. I really enjoyed the idea of a switch of lives that Jesse & Scott did, as they each learned more about the other. I definitely enjoyed how fast Scott fell for Monica as he pretends to be Jesse. I also enjoyed the tension that was between Scott & Monica & that it grew with every encounter they had. The barnyard animals antics & Monica’s visit to the farm was fun & sweet as she connected with the animals. Definitely recommend this book.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, mostly because of the characters. I adore Scott’s character and Monica, the other half of the romance was well characterized and likable. The overall arc seemed a little unbelievable- somehow all of these well to do people are all connected in some way and able to benefit from the beans that Scott has created (the first book in the series did most of the set up to the arc). But it is worth it to suspend your disbelief and enjoy the story! Ruth Cardello throws in a bit of action and intrigue to round out her romance. It felt fast paced and interesting. Overall a good next story in the series. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an early read!

Quite a lot, actually! Ruth Cardello has created a highly entertaining story with a few twists, some STEM content and likeable characters.

This is the second book in the The Switch series and follows Strictly Business. I hadn't read the first book, but reading the synopsis for the first book and reviews, the first book seems to be Jesse's story, whereas in this one we get Scott's story. If I had known, I would have read the first book before starting on this. Still, it's a great book, but I do feel like a missed some of the back story.

Being bored stuck hiding in his apartment he decides to have a peak at his work life and meets Monica one of his brothers most important clients. He is instantly drawn to her and tries his best to spend time with her but feels guilty lying to her. Monica is a hard working genius trying even harder to impress her father. She is attracted to Jesse (Scott) but doesn’t want to do anything to risk their deal. Scott is a farmer, but also a very intelligent man who is trying in his own way to help the world. He is working on an invention that could be revolutionary and this brings with it it’s own issues and troubles. When Scott tells Monica his true identity it throws her for a loop and she’s not sure if she can trust him. Luckily their connection is strong enough and they work their way back to each other and we get the HEA we expect from this author.

This is Scott’s story, a funny, heartwarming story of twins switching places. Two brothers who had never met and switched places can only set them up for failure. Scott finds himself in the big city and planning on being only a day or two, it was obvious that Scott was in over his head. Determined to prove he could do his brothers’ job, what results in is a story filled with humor, romance, and a little drama. I’ve enjoyed the two Switch books and Ruth did another amazing job giving her readers the perfect escape into lighthearted romance.

Full of wonderful family and friends and a few not so nice. There is angst, discovery, deception, redemption, loyalty, laughter, tears and lots of love to get us to a HEA. I can't wait for Thane's story.

Out of Love by Ruth C is the second book in the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it as much or more than the first one. It is about two twins that were separated at birth. As adults they switch places for what is supposed to be a few hours.

This is Scott’s story of how he switched with Jesse the power suit. Which is how he meets Monica, the daughter of one of Jesse’s biggest clients. Instant attraction.

There are plenty of funny scenes, and Ruth adds some serious moments as both Monica and Scott have to trust and have confidence in themselves. Scott was a great character, I really liked him.

Scott realizes someone is out to sabotage Jesse’s company so he wants to help save it. Which adds an element of mystery to the romance.

Excited to see Thane get his own story too! Thane was raised as Jesse’s brother.

I would recommend reading the first book, Jesse’s story it will make this one even that much more enjoyable.

I loved reading Scott and Monica's story This was a very interesting and fun read, and of course you can't help but love the brothers. Twists and turns and seriously is what comes to mind with this book. I am anxious to see what's next in this series

The best way I can describe this story is “Hallmark movie material”. I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not, guess it depends on where you stand on Hallmark movies. I rather enjoy them, but do find them a little predictable and samey. But is that why we love them? Like romance stories; we know how it ends but is the story worth it all?

I didn’t find many issues with the story at all, characters were built and shown to grow and mature as they learnt new things about themselves. You could see it all happening. And it made sense.

The only thing I did nit-pick was on some parts the conversation wasn’t needed, or it was broken randomly when just a rewrite may have been better.

When Scott is shot, Monica is on the phone to Thane and it went something like “I’m on the way to -“ I said the name of the hospital. And then carried on the speech from Monica. Just say “I’m on the way to the hospital”, even add “I’ll text you the details.” But this is nit-picking because I did like the story!

Out of love is the second book in the Switch series. Jesse is pretending to be his twin Scott so that he can help save Scott’s farm. And while Jesse is doing that Scott is supposed to lie low in Jesse’s house. But when, what was supposed to be for a couple of hours turn into days, Scott decides to venture into Jesse’s office. And that’s where he comes face to face with a beautiful but angry woman, Monica, who also happens to be his biggest clients daughter.
This was a fun and easy read and I enjoyed it. And I really enjoyed the interactions between Scott and Monica, many of the situations were hilarious. This has been an entertaining series and I look forward to seeing what the author has in store for Thane.

Scott and Monica had me laughing from the start! Their first meeting was hilarious and filled with angst!

Scott is nothing like his brother but he sure had fun filling his shoes especially when he meant the strong willed Monica!

I love that Ruth creates these fresh feeling stories from the tropes we all love, in this case there’s some steamy enemies to lovers vibes going on. A little work place romance and bam a story that will have you smiling non stop!!

That ending though omg Ruth leaves us hanging and now I can not wait to see what the next book is because it’s going to be a good one and definitely one that will catch us off guard!

Too repetitive for book 1 and seems like there will be another series for Thane along the same themes? Was worth an auto download on Netgalley but I wouldn't read Thane's novel.

This is the second book and if you didn't read the first one, it can be a bit confusing but all is explained as the story progresses. Twin brothers, seperated at birth reconnect and do a little "switch" to help save the business. One farmer, one businessman and a few twists all made this an interesting story.

This review is by someone that has not read the first book. While you don't need to have read the first book to read this one, I think the 5 stars are from readers that did read the first in the series. Because I have not read the first book, I could not get behind the brother wanting to continue the switch and I think that Scott should have pushed back more with his brother about continuing. I really did like Scott - there were so many layers to him that it was impossible to not fall for him as a new book boyfriend! As for Monica, I felt we were in Scott's head way more than Monica, so she was more one dimensional to me. She wasn't unlikable, but not as fleshed out as she could have been. A decent read, but as a stand alone, only 4 stars. Thanks NetGalley for the advanced copy!

He avoids Monica until Jesse is able to answer her questions. With nothing to do, Scott starts digging into Jesse’s computer files and uncovers sabotage in Monica’s company which she can’t believe. When he tells her who he really is and about the sabotage, needless to say, she doesn’t take it too well.
This is the second book of the switch series. You discover more about Jesse and Crystal from Strictly Business. Each book is stand-alone with no cliffhangers but plan to check out Strictly Business to read about their story as well. A great book for romance lovers.

It was great getting to know Scott and Jesse all over again. I loved how similar they are yet so different. The fact that both men fell for such intelligent women is a plus and a curse. They think for themselves and can see through the bull that they're being fed. Lucky for Scott, Monica is understanding, eventually. I loved reading, Out of Love.

I didnt realise that this was the second book in the series. I never read reviews before hand, I like to make my own mind up.

I enjoyed this fast paced insta romance it was funny, sweet and moreish. I read it in one sitting.

If I had to mention any peeves it would be that i like my Alpha males to be a bit more Alpha. The descriptions when spoken about didn't quite match the actual characters (Jesse, LJ, and Walt) for rock solid seasoned businessmen, they came across flat to me. Saying this it wouldn't stop me reading anymore by this author. Infact, I'm going to read book 1 now.
