Super cute story that keeps the reader entranced the whole way through. I really loved the main character. She was a hoot to read.

While the premise of this book caught my attention, as a mid-30 year old, it just didn't fully grasp my attention as much as I would have liked.

It did have it's cute moments, but there were scenes that, personally, just felt that they dragged on.

Overall, it's a cute story and can be considered a quick read, but personally, it took me effort to finish it.

Even if I found some parts entertaining it didn't keep my attention and the story fell flat.
Not my cup of tea.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Meet Lexie Byrne. The big 4-0 is looming, but she's perfectly content without a man. How else could she watch movies on repeat and eat crisp sandwiches in bed? Finally free of her love-rat ex, she's never settling again. Nothing less than 'The One' will do.

Then, after an electrifying encounter on a wild St Patrick's Day, Lexie takes a leap of faith and a flight across the Irish Sea. But as sparks fly, Lexie's dreams take a serious nosedive. Until an arrival no one anticipated.

A beautiful and delightful book to read, one I really just wanted to spend my time reading and savoring the experience.

This book wasn't really my cup of tea. I was hoping alot of this book. But it fell a bit short for me and I never really gelled with it. Sorry.

I received an ARC of, The Unexpected Love Story of Lexie Byrne (aged 39 1/2), by Caroline Grace-Cassidy. I found this book to be awkward and boring.

To be honest I skimmed a lot in this book. So many chapters for one evening, so much going on and don’t get me started on the drama.

Lexie and Adam didn’t come across as nearing 40 or being in their early forties. The way they talked, kept interrupting each other and how they handled situations regarding his family, just struck me as immature and odd.

I’m all about a rom-com, but this was more drama and comedy then falling in love. Sometimes I had a hard time following a conversation or who was talking when.
