This was a great read. I found myself chuckling throughout the book with the banter between Fiona and Jake. Fiona, a veterinarian, is extremely shy and has had a crush on a Jake who lives in her build for some time now. Jake , a public speaking coach, is an extroverted and happens to be her coach for an upcoming speech she has to do. The two finally collide in a awkward but cute way that has me giggling. This was a quick and easy read!

This is a fun, lighthearted rom com, with plenty of banter between the main characters. The two main characters are opposites in every way - she is introverted and love dogs, whereas he is a confident, public speaking expert who is terrified of dogs. This leads to lots of amusing moments where they both learn to overcome their issues and face situations they find personally challenging. It’s a relaxing, enjoyable read!

Why do I like this book? How could I not? I’m happily paraphrasing a phrase the characters use in this short (just under 200 pages) contemporary romance. Fiona is a bright, hard-working and caring veterinarian in NYC. She is being given a prestigious award for community work but she is painfully she in front of groups of people. Jake is a public speaking coach and is hired to help prepare Fiona for the upcoming event. When they meet she realizes he is the hot guy that lives in her building and she is person with the dogs. He is afraid of dogs. Of course there is going to be banter, attraction and heat. I found the characters likable and the book funny and believable. It was perfect for a quick evening read. Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is fun and funny. Fiona has been crushing on the hot guy in her building, right up until she actually met him. Jake has been tasked to help prepare her to give an award acceptance speech, but is concerned she could be his first failure. The the characters are likable and engaging, and what follows is a fun rom-com that kept me smiling and entertained until the very last page.

This one is a must read for fans of the genre. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Fiona and Jake are opposite. Shy in social situations, she is the opposite of Jake. Of course, they end up together when she needs his help as a public-speaking coach.....

I like both main characters. I love their flirting and encounters together. It's fast-moving and fun. An enjoyable read.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
