I love a small town romance and I love a cowboy, so this was the perfect combo for me. The premise was sweet and well written. I really enjoyed this one.
I was hoping for so much more from this book and was kind of disappointed with what it turned out to be.
Cowboy small town romances are my kryptonite however. I enjoyed the setting and the plotline but felt like it fell short on some aspects that could have been used more, There was no main issue to resolve and it felt like i was waiting for the other shoe to drop but it never really did..
..
A lovely small town cowboy romance, which also deals with a real phobia issue and shows how strong families can be there for each other when needed. Well written story.
I was approved after the archive date so sadly I can’t review this book.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher
I was excited to read this small-town, cowboy romance as it's one of my favourite tropes/book settings.
Immediately, the setting of the story was wonderful. I could picture Snow capped trees surrounded by mountains and a resort filled with cabins and horse riding trails.
It was interesting to see the dynamic between Naomi's family. Her father came across as very toxic and probably relatable to a lot of people.
I felt the tragedy described was glossed over and was not discussed a lot throughout. I found the story lacked in places, and it did not really have a crucial conflict moment that needed to be resolved for a happily ever after. For me, the story fell flat and I struggled to push through these moments.
I enjoyed the older character more than the hero and heroine and loved their sarcasm with their grandchildren/children.
Moving forward, I feel the plot needs more depth to keep the readers attention consistently.
