A cute book with a great message of having courage! I work with children every day (I am a school-based SLP) and think this would be a great one for both other therapists and for teachers to use in the classroom. I would recommend it!
Little Tractor is brave is a wonderfully illustrated picture book dealing with facing your fears and self-doubt. Little Tractor looks up to his Daddy for his bravery and strength. One day Daddy suggests that the two do something special together. They are going to race down the hill on Big Oak Farm. Little Tractor is all excited until it begins to rain. His daddy tells him that as he gets bigger, he needs to be ready for anything. He agrees and off they go. Little Tractor slips in the mud and ends up in the grass. He heads back to the barn and hides inside for several days while it rains. When there is an emergency on the farm and the animals tell Little Tractor they need him, he must face his fears and insecurities to help. Can Little Tractor save the day? We (my grandson and I) enjoyed this story about helping others, facing our fears and doing our best. The illustrations were wonderful. They were large, bright and vibrant and showed emotion. I definitely recommend this one.
I had a great time reading this book. The illustrations were amazing and really helped move the story along. We see a little tractor face their fears when someone close to them is in trouble. This is a book that all ages will enjoy.
This book was all right. It feels like it wants to be Otis and it’s not. It’s also trying to make me feel guilty I haven’t mowed the yard and it’s raining. Little tractor is little and still needs to learn things and is a bit afraid of being outside when it rains. But when called on to save the day they’re going to be right there offering all the help one needs.
This book is so sweet! I love a daddy/child book as there are so many mama books. My 3-year-old loves the illustrations in this book. We talk a lot about being brave so this was a hit!
What a lovely little book about overcoming fear! In particular when it's prompted by the need to help others. I love how the message of overcoming your fears is tied in with being a good friend and helping others. Plus the cute illustrations!
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. After little tractor slips in the rain, he no longer wants to go out and help. When there is an emergency, and his friends need his help, little tractor is brave and helps his friends in the rain.
Little tractor is scared of the rain but when his friends are in danger he jumps into action to save the day.
A nice story with cute illustrations. Perfect for young readers.
Little Tractor is Brave is a beautifully illustrated children’s picture book.
The story teaches children about overcoming fear and finding the courage to do what’s necessary.
The book features a unique set of characters including Little and Daddy Tractor, Lili the trailer, and various farm animals.
I think it’s important to show children that everyone has fears. Sometimes those fears can protect you from doing reckless or dangerous things. But many times fear causes us unnecessary anxiety.
It’s always best for a child to talk to an adult about learning the different types of fear.
The story is suitable for early readers or for family story time. I recommend this book to anyone responsible for children; parents, grandparents, libraries, and schools. It’s perfect for launching age-appropriate conversations.
I have mixed feelings about this book because I enjoyed the message about facing your fears, but I don't agree with the idea that Little Tractor shouldn't be afraid. I prefer to teach that it's okay to be afraid, and you can still be brave! I think this shows a great lesson, but isn't a perfect fit for the message I'm trying to give my students.
An adorable children's picture book about facing our fears and getting help from others. I really enjoyed the message of the book and the pictures were adorable. Children will enjoy this one. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.
Little tractor becomes afraid of being out in the rain and mud but finds the courage to be brave when he is needed by others.
The pages are filled with brilliantly colorful illustrations by Philippe Goossens which add even more meaning to this book.
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from Clavis Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!
Little tractor goes out with his father one day to race on the hill, but it’s raining and causes him to slip in the mud. He vows to never go out in the rain again. What is he to do when his friends need his help during a rainstorm? Will he be able to face his fears and come to the aid of his friends?
Thank you Netgalley, Natalie Quintart and Clavis Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this adorable story! My 5 year old daughter loved this book! She was very concerned for the tractor. She really enjoyed seeing Little Tractor faced his fears! This is a great book to have for the kiddos! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Little Tractor looks up to his Daddy's bravery and strength. One day Daddy suggests that the two do something special together. He invites his son to go to the top of the hill on Big Oak Farm where they live and race down it super fast. Little Tractor is all excited to be part of the adventure.
As they leave the barn it begins to rain very hard. Little Tractor becomes worried and scared and asks Daddy if they can postpone the race until tomorrow. Daddy tells his son he is getting big and a big tractor needs to be ready for anything... even if it's raining.
Little Tractor feels nervous as it's hard to see and he doesn't feel safe. To please his Daddy he positions himself and off they go.....! Unfortunately he skids and slides off into the wet grass. His confidence is shattered and he is dripping wet with mud.
After returning back he parks himself in the barn for the next three days as the rain continues to pelt down. He refuses to go outside and definitely doesn't want to get covered in humiliating mud once again.
The rain continues on and on. An emergency arises at the farm amongst the animals and Little Tractor is asked to help. Will he rise to the occasion, face his fears and venture out to save the day?
The illustrations are full-scale, vibrant and colourful. This is a wonderful story of facing and conquering your fears and putting other's needs before your own. I love the book and highly recommend it.
A picture book for young and old on the virtue of courage. Little tractor comes to the realization of what having courage means. Little tractor likes working with Daddy tractor but when he slips in the mud, he becomes scared and does not want to be in the mud again. He loses his confidence for a time but it is restored when his friends need him the most.
Teaching our children courage, what fear is and not being reckless can be like walking on a fine line, however, courage is a confidence building virtue with life-long benefits.
A special thank you to Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

We’re currently reading and loving this one. My daughter loves the illustrations and she likes that little tractor saves the day. She cheers him on to go out and face the rain. She says, “helping friends is nice!”
Thank you @clavis_publishing @netgalley for the review copy!
This was super cute, and I loved the illustrations. I can see this becoming a fast favorite with my four year old.
This was a great take on showing bravery to children. The illustrations were well done and the language was simple enough to be engrossing for the target audience.
The dad in this story really rubbed me the wrong wiay with how ke kept pushing the little tractor to go down the hilll when the little tractor was shared. I do not think it was a good message for kids.
As a mother to a three year old who loves tractors, I thought this book would be a hit with him... And I was right!! He absolutely loved it. This books tells the story of Little Tractor, his fear and his friends. A fun story about being brave and finding your courage! This is definitely one I would like to own. Overall, loved the ring and beautiful illustrations.
