The Gospel of Wellness uses facts, research, social studies, and personal accounts to examine the current culture of wellness. Citing such sources as Gwyneth Paltrow and David Foster Wallace, the book is a unique blend of fun, facts, and fiction, and leaves it to readers to decide for themselves what to take away. It examines wellness gurus and retreats, and the objects they market (hot pink tarot cards?). Recommended for anyone curious about what drives our consumer culture habits and why. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!
