Vanessa’s life is kind of messed up right now.
She finds out that while she was taking care of her sick mother who’s in the hospital, her boyfriend was getting extra cozy with her sister. Wanting to just get away from all the drama she decides to take a road trip,unfortunately for Vanessa her road trip isn’t going to be exactly how she planned it.

Monsters from different worlds,a giant tortoise named turtle,an orphaned boy, and a cute little gremlin looking creature? Sounds like my kind of road trip!
Well maybe except for the monsters.

I’ll be honest I don’t normally read sci-fi graphic novels but this one just seemed super intriguing.

I’m really glad I decided to read this!
I feel like this started off super strong, it got right into action very quickly which I appreciate. The humor elements in this were wonderful, I found myself laughing a lot even though this was a pretty serious situation I did enjoy the jokes/sass.

I like the art style and the premise is really unique. I absolutely adore Turtle and Kai, I’d sell my soul to hug them both!

The ending to this wasn’t my favorite, I know there are more issues to come so this wasn’t an official ending. I am just unsure where this is going to go, it seemed like everything kind of concluded. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the next issue because I’m very interested to see what’s next for Vanessa and her traveling companions.
