I had high hopes for this title because, well, cats. However the style of the illustrations with garish decapitated and rotund human bodies put me off. This is simply a style preference, and another reader might be able to focus on the physical humor of the cats interacting with the headless humans, each other, house plants, whatever.
Anyone who is a cat lover will recognize the shenanigans that are colorfully illustrated in this graphic book.. The cat wants in and out and repeats doing it several times. Cats don’t play with the new toys you got them but will play with something they found instead. Cats will push things off shelves, dig in your flower pots, and many other things in this book. I found myself smiling and sometimes laughing out loud. It’s a great graphic book to relax, sit down and enjoy. It is definitely a book for anyone who loves cats!
It was just a quick and very funny graphic novel! Each page is a different short story of a cat's moment in life and they're just all funny and very relatable to either cat owners or those knowing cat owners. Some are also very relatable to dogs tho so dog owner can still find it funny!
I loved the drawings and colors, it's beautiful! Can be read at any age as there's no text at all except onomatopoeia so it's good for everyone and just a funny story enjoyable by all :)
Thank you to NetGalley and Magnetic Press for an eARC of this collection of comics to read in return for my honest review. Cats Cats Cats is a hilarious collection of the antics of cats. It is a quick read that is illustrated beautifully. As a cat owner myself, I continuously found myself chuckling to myself at some of the antics the cats in the comic were getting up to that my own cat has also been guilty of. Highly recommend for cats lovers that want a quick laugh!
Oh the joy of owning, ahem, being owned by a cat, or cats.

<p>This graphic novel has no words other than cat sounds, and each section will bring either laughter, groans, or yeah that's me and my cat, or so glad that's NOT my cat!
The drawings were great, very colorful and the pages turned quickly.
Since I am a cat person since my dearly departed Joe found me many years ago, this book was a very pleasant way to pass my time looking at the pictures.
I would recommend this book to people who like cats or just like reading about cats and their antics.

When the author’s name is ‘Lapuss’, it is kind of ironic to see that their first graphic novel is titled “Cats Cats Cats”. It was just meant to happen, wasn’t it? Serendipity at work. 😄
Anyhoo, back to the book.
This is a graphic novel about…. You guessed it… cats! There are no words or dialogues except for the various Meows peppered throughout the book. Each page has a comic strip, generally of eight panels, and depicts a typical day as a cat or as a cat-parent.
The novel goes by fairly quickly as there is no text to process. Many of the strips are hilarious, but after a point, they become a tad repetitive. Some caused me to burst out laughing, some made me go “yuck!”, and some just elicited a sigh – all common emotions if you are a cat parent. The comics are very silly and yet very relatable.
On an aside, I didn’t like the way the female cat owners were drawn in the book. Most of them were drawn overly curvy. (Also, who wears high heels and teeny skirts at home?). The men were more regular and varied in size from potbellied to lanky. Could we please have better, more accurate, a more normalised female representation in graphic novels too? It is irritating to see a sexualised version of the female body no matter what we read.
Recommended for cat lovers and cat owners, though other pet parents will also get a laugh from this book.
4 stars.
My thanks to Diamond Book Distributors, Magnetic Press, and NetGalley for the DRC of “Cats Cats Cats!” This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.
A fun and lively comics collection about the mischief that cats get up to. I thought this was just ok, cute but nothing exceptional. It didn't make me "howl with laughter" like the synopsis promised either. Maybe cat owners will enjoy this more.
Nothing I can say could convey how amusing and true this graphic novel is unless you have cats. One cat or six cats, the story is the same; they are little Buggers!
You can tell Stephane Lapuss has cats. The artwork is reminiscent of the Sunday comics I loved as a kid, and the individual stories they tell are my everyday life with two cats.
Proof there is no point even trying to understand them, train them, or second guess them. Cats were once worshiped as Gods and have never forgotten this fact. Therefore you are theirs, not the other way around. Once you accept this, they will be content. Also, proof that this is universal. No matter the country or the language, cats are buggers.
I really did enjoy this, and I read it with my cat sitting on my shoulder, trying to reach the tablet so he could knock it out of my hands. Why? Because something other than him had my attention. Gotta love 'em!
Thanks to @netgalley, Diamond Book Distributors, Magnetic Press, and Stéphane Lapuss for the opportunity to read this eArc in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
These comics are hilarious true-to-life depictions of what owning a cat looks and feels like. They are hilarious, adorable, and a little frustrating. Exactly like dealing with the real animal. Cat owners will be able to see their own furry little friends reflected in the colorful characters and maybe themselves in the frustrated humans caring for the critters. And even non-cat-owning pet parents and non-pet-parents will be able to appreciate the goofy humor.
This is a fun collection of single page comics without words in which any cat lover will recognize their furry friend(s).
My partner and I looked through the book together going "that is absolutely [insert cat's name]" and, "I'm so glad we've never had a cat that did that!" but every antic the cats got up to was believable and true to cat form. This is obviously a book created by a pair of cat lovers!
A silent comic (no words other than cat sounds) showing the every day antics and shenanigans of cats and their people.
As someone who is passionate about cats, I have consumed a lot of cat content. Sadly this was not one of the better ones. It didn't show anything particularly unique or insightful, or very funny for that matter. What truly made me like the comic a lot less was the depreciation of women, For a comic supposed to be about funny cats, it still sexualized women unnecessarily. The style of drawing shown all people from the neck down or waist down. There were no faces of identities of the people. However the women were drawn with tight short skirts, heels, and unrealistic exaggerated curves. I expected a fun comic about cats but had to deal with rampant sexism.
Cats Cats Cats is a collection of comics by Stephane Lapuss and Philippe Larbier. The collection follows a variety of cats through their everyday antics. These cats demonstrate many of the behaviors that cat owners have learned to tolerate. The comics are nearly wordless (there are some spreads with words, especially to demonstrate the noisiness of the feline friends), but cat lovers will find them hilarious and relatable regardless.

This book is a cute commentary on how individualistic each cat is. Each story is told in pictures, and usually ends in an entirely different way one would hope. Fans of cats will nod their head throughout the book, telling themselves, yup, that's exactly what my cat does. I know certainly I did.
Super fun! Even though I'm not a cat person those situations were so funny. Drawings are gorgeous and immediately catch your attention. I would definitely suggest this graphic novel to everybody, cat or dog lovers; you're not gonna regret this. And as a dog owner I recognize a lot of those scenes happening also in my daily routine; you will laugh for sure.
This was exactly what I wanted. Cute little cats disrupting everyone else's lives because, well, they are cats of course :). I really liked the drawing style and I had a great time reading through the short comics in this book, it was just super cute and fun.
As a cat owner, this was such a fun and relatable comic. I loved all the illustrations and thought that they were cute. Thete aren't any words, but I think the author managed to sufficiently convey what they wanted in the art. A fun, pick-me-up for any cat lover. I hope they make more!
An adorable graphic novel of all of the funny, silly, neurotic, insane, frustrating and endearing behaviors that cat lovers like myself expect from our feline friends. This was so cute, quick to get through and made me smile!
Five stars!
I love anything to do with cats and this is a book of cartoons showing realistic and funny cat behavior. A good gift for any cat lover.
As an owner of two silly kitties, I loved this book. Definitely chronicles what every cat owner has to go through with their cats. I would definitely add this to my bookshelf.
Thanks to Netgalley and Diamond Book Distributors for the ARC of this!
Cute, wordless comics about cats. My kids were really interested and the pictures did a great job of conveying what was happening with no words, so my 5 year old could follow along. I liked the art and thought the kitties were cute.
