Beautiful illustrations and pictures!! My daughter and I loved this story. Great designed plot. It was hard to read on the phone
What drew me to this book was the illustrations. The illustrations are extremely detailed and magical. They truly immerse you into the story; I felt as if I were actually there. I would spend several minutes on each page scanning each and every detail. The characters Millie and Selena are fun and lovable. We accompany Millie and Selena in their trials and adventures as Luna Park comes to life. I like that we get a glimpse of the historical past of Coney Island.
Simply ILLUMINATING!!
"The magic starts here" for sure. This tale is illuminating in so many ways. The illustrations are so enticing, unique and look like there is light on throughout the book. And the story is historically illuminating teaching readers of all ages the background story of Luna Park at Coney Island in Brooklyn NY. The reader gets to follow this adventure together with Selena the rabbit and Millie a brave young girl. A narrative based in friendship, perseverance and not giving up on a dream!

All I have to say is wow! Coney - A Trip to Luna Park by Jeffrey Lindberg is an absolutely amazing children's picture book that blends histor with fantasy. The story revolves around a rabbit Selena and a girl named Millie. It's 1904, and Luna Park is being built on Coney Island. The pair embark on a journey to discover exactly what makes Luna Park so delightful. Along with historical details comes a fantastical journey to the moon!
Overall, Coney - A Trip to Luna Park is a lovely children's picture book with amazing illustrations. One highlight of this book is how it blends history and fantasy. I felt like I was being transported, one, back in history, and two, onto another planet. Another highlight of this book are the illustrations, which were at turns fantastical and grim. I was fascinated by how the illustrator includes both light and dark elements to their pieces. If you're intrigued by the description, I highly recommend that you check out this book when it comes out in September!
The plot is interesting. This teaches children about the changes that happen with construction but also how far kindness gets a person.
Coney- A Trip to Luna Park was a gorgeously illustrated book about Selena, a rabbit, and her friend Millie (a human) who visit Coney Island. I loved the illustrations of Luna Park and the Moon Ride- it was so intricately drawn. I liked the basis in history and learned more about Coney Island! This is a wonderful book.
