I love Natasha Lester's books. This book reaffirms my belief that she is one of the best historical fiction writers of today! I absolutely loved this book!
The war ended two years ago, but the effects are still being felt around the world, maybe even more so in Paris. Alix St. Pierre is returning to the City of Lights to work as a public relations representative for a new fashion designer, Christian Dior. As she begins to launch her PR campaign the past comes back to haunt her. During the war Alix was sent to Switzerland, working for the OSS, the british intelligence office. It was working there that she headed up a mission that ended in great tragedy with 9 people killed, one of whom was Alix's fiancee'. Alix has lived with crippling guilt ever since. After stumbling upon a figure from the past, Alix begins a investigation into finding out the identity of the Nazi informant whose bogus information led Alix to launch that last fatal mission.
This book has everything, fashion, spies, romance, a little something for everyone, with realistic, well developed characters that are easy to connect with.
I recommend this one highly, and am sure it will be on the best-seller list for January 2023!
Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and to Net Galley for the free ARC, I am leaving my honest review in return.

Another incredible novel by Lester. She always gives me more than I can dare to imagine. I adored this novel. Mix in fashion, historical fiction, intrigue, spies, a little romance and story that keeps you reading late into the night.

Alix St. Pierre is recruited by the U.S government in 1943. Her mission is to get close to a Nazi to gain entail and she gained the attention of a powerful man. Unfortunately something happens that changes her life forever and it haunts her. She wants retribution.

In 1946 she moves to Paris, and lands a job, which places her in the spotlight. Her advertising skills before the war help her new adventure. Dior, from the how famous House of Dior interviews her and they become great friends. He is taking a huge chance on Alix. At this time Dior is not a household name, but Alix with the help launch an incredible campaign.

Someone from the war shows up and threatens Alix. Can she find out who it is? It is who she thinks it is. Follow the three timelines, to discover what Alix will go through. I enjoyed the mix of Historical Fiction and the fashion mixture. Lester never disappoints, and always brings us an amazing story.

I’ve never met a Natasha Lester book I didn’t LOVE!

The Three Lives of Alix St. Pierre is not only unforgettable, but Alix, a fictional character that jumped off the pages, became real, raw, and her journey, emotional.

From being a spy in WWII, then post war seeking revenge and justice, to being an up and coming fashionista and PR/Marketing genius helping the house of Dior soar to new heights, I was immersed in this story! {Also? Alllll the heart eyes for Anthony March!}

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced read copy and to Natasha Lester for writing yet another incredible story!

The Three Lives of Alex St. Pierre is SO beautifully written. I loved it from the very start. The characters, the story, the entire premise of the book made me fall in love and turn page after page until the end. WWII historical fictions are my favorite, but this one just made it to the top of the list.

Thank you to net galley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

Alix St. Pierre will keep you in suspense with her interesting life of fashion, espionage, romance, and before her time thinking of women and their lives in a changing world. Loved the Dior fashion and a bit of background on his fashion.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advance copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.

Another page-turner! A book that features Dior the designer is always welcome. I just love reading about him, even if he isn't the main character of the story. As for the main characters, Alix St Pierre is definitely one that is not easy to to forget, and it's not just because of her name. I like the mix of bravery and vulnerability in her. She's someone you can't not love. I also like Anthony, but no one can top Adam (Natasha's Riviera House) for now. Lol

Though set mostly in Paris post-WW2, I like that the actual resistance happened outside France as I have already read a lot about French resistance. It's nice to know about the resistance that happened in Italy for a change.

Pros: Lovely permise and I am sure someone would enjoy. The book wasn't for me.
Cons: I did not like Alix as a character.
I did not understand the plot.

The Three Lives of Alix St Pierre flips from present day where Alix is working in PR for Christian Dior himself [fans of fashion will adore this!] to Alix's past life with WWII. This was a great read and I'm so appreciative of the ARC from NetGalley & the Publisher!

Fascinating story of Alix St. Pierre told through three time periods; before WWII, during the war and after. Interesting look at the fashionable world of Dior in Paris along with a look at the dark world of espionage. The characters were well developed and drew me in to the story. I am looking forward to reading other books by this author.

Another outstanding read from Natasha Lester, a personal favorite! A lover of historical fictional, WWII especially, I feel like I am constantly learning through the intriguing stories Lester writes. In The Three Lives of Alix St. Pierre you experience how an orphan makes her way in the world of fashion and the OSS (the predecessor of the CIA). Lives are intertwined across countries and years as Alix and those around her deal with the aftermath of war. Alix who has always stood on her own and only opened up to her two closest friends, Lillie and Bobby, struggles letting others in. Being dependent on Lillie’s family as an orphan made her want to stand on her own two feet after. Being in the OSS she could not let her guard down for it meet the lives of others. Then Anthony March crosses her path and she can not decide if he is friend or foe, but this handsome man seems to be more. But with his secret past and her internal shield can there ever be anything?

Along the way you meet Matteo who is an Italian Partisan (resistance) and his sister Chiara the waitress, Esmee who was at boarding school with Alix but more than a society girl during the war years, Frank, the bartender who knows all the secrets. All walks of life, no one unscathed by war, and everyone connected by a war torn past.

Three Lives of Alix St. Pierre by Natasha Lester is a great WWII-era historical fiction that has it all: mystery, suspense, intrigue, history, action, and fashion. It is a great book.

I have really enjoyed several of Ms. Lester’s previous novels, so of course I wanted to read this one as well. It did not disappoint.

Intricately woven among different moments within the main character’s life (Alix), we see her come alive, take charge, and take action in several different roles ( spy, actress, recruiter of sorts, and overall powerhouse), and it creates a story that entertains, engages, and surprises. I really liked the balance between the intricate storyline and yet the ease of which it was presented so as to keep things brisk and not bogged down by detail.

I was thoroughly impressed.

5/5 stars

Natasha Lester is at the top of my favorite authors list. I was thrilled to discover my request for The Three Lives of Alix St. Pierre had been granted. Thank you Forever Grand Central and NetGalley. I stayed up very, very late last night so i could finish this book. No one does historical fiction better. Ms. Lester's research is deep, her storytelling beautiful, and her characters lovable and believable. 10 Stars!

The market is flooded with stories of World War II daring and bravery, maybe because those qualities seem to be so sadly lacking in over leaders and our country now. Alix St. Pierre is an incredible woman, who becomes a model, a government publicity agent to lure women to the workplace and a spy for the Allies. Take a break from the pathetic whiny politicians and their delusional followers of today and travel back in time for a dose of real leadership and a lesson on citizenship
