This is a super cute addition to the Narwhal and Jelly series. Everyone loves unicorns and puns! I can see why kids like this series so much. The art is simple but evocative.

I absolutely love the Narwhal and Jelly series from Ben Clanton. My daughter and I found them when she was in kindergarten. They were perfect for her because she was already a reader but still needed books at her interest level that were engaging and age-appropriate. This series checked those boxes perfectly. Narwhal and Jelly are an endearing dynamic duo with a love of waffles and friendship. Their imagination inspires children and makes them belly laugh. My daughter loved this one and my classroom copy never sits on my shelf for long.

Oh, this series can do no wrong! Narwhal and Jelly are off on another adventure as Narwhal discovers what it would be like to walk on land as a unicorn- ahem, narwhalicorn. But it's a midnight adventure and this just isn't working out for Jelly who really needs to sleep. The friends learn to navigate each other's feeling and needs, everyone getting what they need in the end. Another winner from Ben Clanton!

Thank goodness for graphic novel reader books. These books are a great hook for keeping young readers engaged.

****GUEST REVIEW 👦🏻****
📖Book: Narwhalicorn and Jelly (A Narwhal and Jelly Book #7)
✍️Author: Ben Clanton
📆Publication date: 10.4.22
📚 Quick book background:
In this seventh installment of the adventures of best friends Narwhal and Jelly, a jellyfish, the friends are back with their usual funny banter and random fun facts! This quick read, graphic novel is divided into five short chapters. Narwhal describes this adventure as their “most amazing, awesomest, wildest, weirdest” one yet!
💻I read an advanced copy of this on NetGalley in exchange for my feedback!
🌟🤓My review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
These books are always a hit with my 9 year old, so I decided to let him review this one! Here’s his review:
“I gave this 4 and a half stars because some parts were a little confusing but overall it’s pretty good! It is funny but not as funny as #1, 2, 3, and 4!”

Narwhal and jelly has been my kids favorite for years. They are funny, cute, and the perfect reading level! Thank you for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received an electronic ARC from Penguin Random House Canada through NetGalley.
Narwhal learns a valuable lesson about listening to his friend. Jelly and he go on an adventure that takes them on land and then to another planet. Jelly clearly says he is tired and does not want to go but Narwhal ignores him and wishes on Star to bring him along. When Jelly leaves abruptly, Narwhal has to look at his own actions and figure out how to be a better friend.
The illustrations are bright and welcoming, and the dialogue is easy to follow for mid to upper elementary level readers. They will be excited to read the latest in this series.

“Meh, I guess it was cute” says my 9 year old who is maybe too old to appreciate Narwhal and Jelly anymore. But I enjoyed this installment. Though I have to say, I’m a little sad that there was no Super Waffle and Strawberry Sidekick side comic. Overall a solid addition to the series.

Thanks to Netgalley and Random House Canada for the ARC of this!

My daughter is probably past the intended reading level for these but she is OBSESSED. When she peeped it in my Netgalley queue she immediately asked to read it! This was so fun and cute and perfect for fans of unicorns, Elephant and Piggie, especially preschool/learning to read age.

Narwhal and Jelly are back for another adventure! This time, they are on land AND another planet.

I don't want to give too much away, but this one is on theme with the cuteness. We also learn the importance of listening to the people around us and taking their feeling into consideration. Great series for kids. Will be recommending this one!

Thank you to Ben Clanton, Tundra Books, and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

My daughter has read all of the Narwhal and Jelly books. Narwhalicorn and Jelly is the new one and she really enjoyed it. It teaches a good lesson of listening to your friends. Narwhal and Jelly are familiar characters that she liked seeing again. She would recommend this book to anyone.

Narwhals have been called the unicorn of the sea but, according to one of our favorite main characters, unicorns are the narwhals of the land. When Jelly wonders what they look like, Narwhal wishes upon a star to become a unicorn and then to go visit with all of the other "*corns." However, while Narwhal is having fun, Jelly just wants to go to bed. So, a little lesson is a little shoehorned in about considering the feelings of others but this was, as always, a fun and joyful book.

Five stars
This book comes out October 4, 2022

Narwhal and Jelly books are just super cute fun comic strips and they normally have a centralized story or takeaway geared towards younger readers. It's a cute one and I liked it quite a lot. I think this will be a hit with the Narwhal and Jelly crowd.

Thank you, Netgalley and Tundra Books, for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love Narwhal and jelly! They are always happy and ready for adventures. However, Jelly is a little tired for the upcoming adventure. Narwhal wants to be a real unicorn but to do that he’s going to have to find some legs and get up on land. With the help of a wishing star his dreams come true and Jelly just wants to go back to bed. As always it always works out in the end and it’s a fun adventure along the way.

I've never read any of the Narwhal and Jelly books so I wasn't sure if I would like this going into it but I really enjoyed it! If these were around when I was a kid I would have DEVOURED all of them. Even as an adult I still find them really cute and fun.

Narwhal is explaining that unicorns are like narwhals of the land (hahaha get it). Narwhal then wishes on a star to go on to land to search for unicorns, then goes to a planet of unicorns. This was a cute twist on the "unicorn of the sea" tagline but I did not enjoy it as much as previous books. Still always in good fun to get some new Narwhal and Jelly content.

Note: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated in any other fashion for the review and the opinions reflected below are entirely my own. Special thanks to the publisher and author for providing the copy.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This book is another excellent addition to this graphic novel set. I know that I will need to order several copies as I can barely keep graphic novels available and on my shelves.

Full disclosure, I had very little opportunity to review this book myself because my eager 7 year old leaped at the chance to read it herself. She was, as always, delighted by the series. Ben Clanton’s books always have a home on our shelf.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to read this new installment in the adventures of Narwhal and Jelly early!
I read this with my six year old who said it was very fun but not his favorite in the series. These books continue to have such cute illustrations and messages for children and adults alike.
