I loved this book enormously. So much so I’ve already bought other copies to gift. The illustrations are so unique and hilarious, all kids will love them and the story is very very cute. This is a must add to all good picture book collections.

What a fun time I had at this party!

Take a boxful of tiny toys, dollhouse furniture, and some food, glue on eyes, and you've got good times on every page.

Join Lemon in a wacky search for a party, and learn a lesson in what to do when you can't find exactly what you're looking for.

A very silly and delightful book that begs to be perused again and again!

A fun, colorful story in rhyme! Lemon is looking for a party in this book. With fun cues for read-alouds and engaging photos of everyday items with large googly eyes attached, this would be a great preschool book for storytime. You even get to 'shake this book'! Recommended for libraries with storytimes and with robust picture book sections. I received this e-galley from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book reminds me of the “How are you peeling” series of books from about 15 years ago. There is a party going on but by who and where. The best part of this book is not the story, the illustrations. The illustrations are actual items such as lemons and donuts and cakes and dogs etc. with add ons like googly eyes. It’s a fun story to get kids active and involved because they’re going to want to make their own stories similar once they read this one

This book is a lot of fun, like a big I spy game, my 6 years old thought it was very neat to see the picture and especially the words formed by objects. A great book to show kids about different mediums that could be used to create art.

This is an unusual little book for kids. The illustrations are real life items some normal size some tiny used to create a scene. The opening scene is Lemon, which is a real lemon with eyes, nose and mouth, he is trying to find the party. As you move through the book you will find socks with eyes, hanging goldfish crackers, and dressed up fruits. A great can you find book for kids as they look for various items on the pages.

The Instagram darling from Germany has teamed up with beloved American author Jamie Michalak to create a picture book perfect for all ages, but especially kids from 4 to 8. So . . . COME ON IN!" This delightful rhyming picture book uses an adorable lemon as the main character. She is looking for a party and sets off on a mission to find one with her friends. The readers, of course, are invited to join in on the celebration. Want to go?

The illustrations are amazing and each additional character is created out of something unique: combs with wigs, fruit in suits, and dogs made out of bread, just to name a few. The eclectic crowd will have kids giggling and wanting to join in for sure.

The rhymes and illustrations are a perfect marriage making this playful and whimsical book a winner. It touts diversity, inclusivity, friendship, problem solving and tons of creativity. I love it and kids will too. I highly recommend, "Come on in: There's a Party in This Book!

Come On In was a fun read, but I was a little confused with the direction of it at one point. The lemon is looking for a party, and does stumble upon other fruits in its travels. I think a small child would be confused as to why the lemon is not joining the other fruit. Aside from that detail, the rhyming was fun, and the pictures were bright and exciting for my son to explore.

This rhyming picture book tells the story of a lemon trying to find a party but he stumbles upon lots of strange scenes on the way. The illustrations in this book are really unique, they are made up of a variety of real objects as well as clay and paper objects put together with backdrops as well as what appears to be some natural outdoor photos. It really shows that anything can be used to make something else, to create art and to tell a story. I would use this book as an inspiration for lessons on photography and art. The story is random and fun and I think that kids would enjoy it. It is also a bit of an I-Spy type book with lots of random items to check out in the background. Definitely a unique and interesting book that I would recommend parents and teachers of children in the age 3-1o range check out! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

Hours of creative fun!!

This book reminded me of Mio & Mao the claymation series and I LOVE claymation. The story is about a little lemon looking for a party with his friends. In the end, he sets up his own party with all of his friends. His friends are what make this book so interesting. Each character is made of something unique. Is that guy toothpaste? Is that dog made out of toast? a rabbit made out of pastry!!

What a great way to get younger readers actively involved in reading. What a whimsical little tale.

Grateful to have received a digital copy of this from NetGalley & Astra Publishing.

Come On In is such a COOL book!! It doesn't have illustrations, but rather photographs where the characters are made out of everyday objects. What a unique concept. It was very fun, and I loved the googly eyes on the lemon. A very fun book to read!
