I have only actually read one book by Jaimie Admans (The Christmas Tree Farm - I loved it!) so I jumped at the chance to read her latest, set in the world of bee-keeping. I don't really know too much about bee-keeping but this didn't matter at all as seemingly neither did the main character Kayleigh......!

I really enjoyed meeting Kayleigh and learning a little bit about her past and just how she comes to come across the advert looking for an experienced bee-keeper at Elderflower Grove and how she manages to convince her interviewer (funnily enough dressed as a bee!) that she is the perfect person. Her main reason is actually desperation, having had a bad experience with her ex boyfriend and him fleecing her with the ownership of her business.

Despite the run down state of the once grand Elderflower Grove, there is actually a thriving business on the grounds and also a squatter! Kayleigh and Carey and lovely characters to have as our main characters and I loved their spark which is covered perfectly in the storyline. Despite Carey having an issue with bees her helps Kayleigh when he realises that she doesn't quite have the experience she originally claimed and I loved reading and learning about how important bees are to our everyday lives - the author has done brilliant research in just what is entailed when looking after bees and I definitely learnt a lot from this.

At the heart of the story is the romance of the building and the previous inhabitants, who mysteriously disappeared following a fire at the house and I really enjoyed learning about them in an unexpected twist of the storyline. It was written beautifully and made me teary eyed at times.

A fabulous story that kept me hooked - really excited about what the author has install for us with her next book as I a firm fan!

I don’t know where to begin with this because there was so much I loved , the bee facts, the puns, the mystery, the twists I didn’t see coming, I just loved it all so much . The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove was an absolutely delight to read, full of community, romance, friendship, throw in a little mystery and you have the perfect read I adored the mystery of the disappearance so much, you really do imagine all kinds of things, theories and I loved guessing as I read along, it was part of the joy in reading this, an added bonus.

Jaimie’s vivid descriptions of Elderflower Grove are so beautiful, so detailed, that you are drawn into this beautiful house as it goes from a dark and lonely house, to a character in its own right as we go through the story with Kayleigh, speaking of Kayleigh the romance with Carey is just so sweet, as sweet as honey ! Sorry, can’t resist as bee related pun. They are just so meet-cute, so funny, adorable, very much themselves and a unique but also classily bee-utiful slow burn. (Last one I swear)

This lovely, quirky, romantic and mysterious story has so much to enjoy, as well as romance and mystery you add a really fantastic community full of original and quirky characters and this book is like the perfect happy place for me. The writing as always with Jaimie Adman’s is wonderful, great pacing, long chapters but you hardly notice as you fly through them and don’t want to stop. A perfect summerbee, sorry summery read

Absolutely brilliant. This is the first time that I have read Jaimie Admans and it did not disappoint. I was a bit sceptical at first as it seemed that the story peaked early and then the twists and surprises started to be revealed. Stick with it, it is well worth it as once I got into it I couldn’t put it down. It was not your normal romance book, loved it.

The bees were my favorite part of this adorable rom-com! Each chapter introduces fun bee facts as the mystery deepens around Kayleigh, who poses as a beekeeper in order to try to get her life in order and Carey, a gardener hiding out on the grounds of the estate where Kayleigh takes her job. The banter between the two is fresh and fun and the decades-old mystery the two uncover will keep readers turning pages. A wonderful summer read.

Having read a few of Jaimie Admans' previous books, I had high hopes for The Beekeeper At Elderflower Grove. It didn't disppoint.

The characters were engaging and I warmed to the main characters of Kayleigh and Carey. I was drawn into the mystery of what had happened at Elderflower Grove. There were some unexpected twists and turns, moments of drama. And I loved the information about bees at the start of each chapter. I definitely learnt some new things through reading this book.

Great concept, something a little different and I think it worked well. I'll be looking forward to reading more of Jaimie Adman's books.

The protagonists, Kayleigh and Carey are very likeable.
They both have been drawn to Elderflower Grove and this has definitely been for a reason.
When Kayleigh broke up with her boyfriend she lost her candle business and house, and finds herself back in her childhood bedroom living with her mum.
She is desperately looking for a job and her only chance is to become the new beekeeper at Elderflower Grove mansion, the only problem being she hasn’t the foggiest of how to care for bees but how difficult could it be?
Armed with a beginner’s guide to beekeeping book, her new job is only the beginning in this new chapter for Kayleigh.
The house and grounds sound absolutely wonderful and were really brought to life on the page.
As well as romance this book has mystery, magic, long-lost love and ghosts!
The last quarter of this book was my favourite and had me hooked but no spoilers here!

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is an absolutely sensational read. I love Jaimie Admans’s books - she is an incredible writer and this is one of my favourite books. I love gardening, I love growing plants to help the bees in our garden and therefore this was the perfect book for me!

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is an absolutely thoroughly enjoyable story, with friendship, community, romance and mystery combined. I loved the mystery surrounding Elderflower Grove, an abandoned manor house full of intrigue and charm. The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is a book full of unexpected twists and turns. The descriptions and setting of Elderflower Grove were depicted so wonderfully that you could imagine yourself being there.

I learnt so much about bees and beekeeping. The facts at the beginning of each chapter were fascinating and made me want to learn so much more - I even purchased a book all about bees! The bee facts were such a lovely inclusion to the book and you can see how much research has been done. And I loved the bee puns!

Kayleigh was a brilliant character! She loves books and Jane Austen and candles! And even though Kayleigh got herself into a sticky situation (!) with the job as she had no previous experience of bee keeping, Kayleigh soon picked it up and made sure she learnt everything she could to do her bee keeping job perfectly.

Carey was a very deep character and had so many layers to him which were gradually revealed. There was so much more to him than I first thought and I loved all his t-shirts! I loved how Kayleigh and Carey found the letters which revealed so much more about Elderflower Grove Josie and her life. The trip to France was so heart-warming and I am so pleased they were able to let Josie know all about Elderflower Grove - this meant so much to them all and you could feel this in the book.

Both Kayleigh and Carey made the perfect couple and I am sure Elderflower Grove will grow from strength to strength with them both at the helm and with the help of the bees and the community!

How amazing would it be for us to visit Elderflower Grove! Kayleigh could run a beekeeping course and we could all learn to make honeycomb candles! Carey can give us a tour of the house and they can both show us how honey is made! I am off to book my tickets now!

I cannot end this review without a bee pun! A bee-autiful story which will make you smile and laugh and take you on a wonderful journey of self-discovery, magic and adventure. You will be buzzing to tell all your friends to read this wonderful book! 5 gigantic stars for this tremendous read!

The Beekeeper of Elderflower Grove is a sweet and captivating book that is perfect for reading on Sunday afternoon.

I fell in love with Jaimie’s writing last year when I stumbled upon a few of her Christmas books. They instantly became my favourite reads during the holiday season. So, you could only imagine how excited I was when we were asked if we wanted to be on the book blog tour for Jaimie’s latest book, The Keeper at Elderflower Grove. This book was everything that I needed to read this weekend. It was such a wonderful blend of a sweet romance and a cozy mystery read. The story has all that charm and wit that I have come to expect from a Jaimie novel and is chalked full of cheeky and delightful characters.

If you love gardening, bees, and Jane Austen, then you will love this book! I am a huge gardener and have been working hard at turning my gardens into pollinator gardens for the bees. So all the gardening talk was just right up my alley. I also couldn’t get enough of the scenes where Kayleigh took care of the bees. They were just so informative and fascinating. I felt like I was learning something while enjoying a wonderful story.

All the characters in this book were amazing and had so much to offer this story. I loved Kayleigh; she is fun and bubbly, and watching as she pretended to be a seasoned beekeeper was delightful. I loved all the Disney movies and Jane Austen references, and the fact she is a big old bookworm made me love her even more. Carey is that perfect charming book boyfriend. At times, he does come off more unsure of himself, but that vulnerability only makes him more endearing. At least in my eyes.

The mystery component in this story was completely unexpected and really well done. Jaimie did a marvelous job at creating this mystery around the disappearance of Josie, who was thought to have died in a fire seven years ago, but her body was never found. Kayleigh and Carey both set out to try and discover what happened to her while also trying to see if Carey is Josie’s long-lost grandson. I couldn’t believe how much I was at the edge of my seat with this part of the story. I found myself coming up with different theories and trying to figure out whether Josie was actually dead. It was thrilling and fun joining our main duo as they looked for clues in this mysterious and haunted house.

I would be amiss if I didn’t talk about Elderflower Grove. The descriptions of this house and its vast grounds were stunning; they became a character in their own right. When this book starts, the house and surrounding area are gloomy and dark and really live up to the haunted creepy vibe villagers have given it. But as Kayleigh spends time there, the love she has for this place transforms it into the charming and magical place it once was. Kayleigh treats and interacts with the house and various other objects as if they can understand what is happening. I loved her slightly one-sided conversations with gargoyles, wishing wells, and the house. Honestly makes me feel a bit more normal since I tend to talk to my car and my house as well. LOL

The romance between Kayleigh and Carey is just honey-sweet. They really are a bee-utiful couple. (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. This book is full of wonderful cheesy puns). The meet-cute in this story is hilarious and just so unique (kind of like the meet-cute in The Little Christmas Shop on Nutcracker Lane). Kayleigh thought Carey (who was sleeping inside a sleeping bag) was the long-lost corpse of Josie and decided to approach the body with a “How to Beekeeper Book” and a fire poker, only to scare the living crap out of Carey, who thinks she is a maniac. The whole scene was laugh-out-loud funny. Their relationship has that charming feel and slow, sweet burn that I adore in these English romances. The conversations between them felt raw and real. I loved how they could joke around with each other but still have deep, meaningful conversations.

The Beekeeper of Elderflower Grove is everything I could ever want in a sweet English romance.

As someone who loves bees and Jaimie Admans previous books I had high expectations for this novel and it didn't disappoint. With a chuckle inducing beginning with an unique interview and larger than life side characters, I knew I was in for a treat.
Sprinkled with bee facts and puns, the story follows Kayleigh who blags a job as a beekeeper for the whimsical Elderflower Grove. The gentle romance between her and Carey flourishes as the novel continues. His t-shirt provides a trip down memory lane and I need some of them.
The location is beautiful and the descriptions lure you into the story and keep you there.
This is a heart warming, funny novel that is pure escapism.

This was a lovely, fast read packed full of joyful adventure. It really spoke to me and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

When Kayleigh Harwood takes on the job of beekeeper at Elderflower Grove she is determined to make a success of it even though she knows absolutely nothing about looking after bees. Armed with her Idiots guide to Beekeeping Kayleigh does her best to keep the bees comfortable and even though she is a beekeeping novice she quickly develops a real love for the bees and her natural connection to them will be her saving grace.

There is an air of mystery at the abandoned manor house at Elderflower Grove and people have told of mysterious goings on and ghostly noises coming from the old house. Having a good old nosey around Kayleigh soon discovers that she's not the only one with a love for Elderflower Grove when she bumps into a rather good looking gardener called Carey, who has more than enough secrets of his own.

This fun story flows really well. I enjoyed getting to know Kayleigh, and learned a little bit about looking after bees, and their hives, in the process. The delapidated manor house quickly becomes another character in the story and I enjoyed how Kayleigh and Carey starting to get involved in caring for the old place whilst at the same time being sympathetic to its secrets.

There is much to enjoy in this light and easy romantic comedy. Kayleigh and Carey are both lovely characters and I enjoyed seeing their relationship flourish as the story develops. The addition of some quirky villagers who go by the name of Nectar Inspectors add a really fun element but there is also a serious side about conservation and cherishing the nature and heritage we have in our local communities.

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is a lovely summer read, just perfect for relaxing in the garden with the scent of summer and the buzz of bees around you.

This was a lovely, sweet read for which I was grateful of! Having enjoyed Adman’s Christmas offering last year, I had high hopes that this would be equally good. I was not disappointed.

Not only was this an enjoyable read, but it was interesting too and I feel like I have learnt a lot about bees and the bee keeping process along the way. I loved how Admans opens each chapter with a bee fact and I sincerely hope all of these were true. It was definitely in keeping with the bee theme and I often found myself chuckling at the inevitable bee puns throughout the story.

The protagonists, Kayleigh and Carey, (I wonder if their rhyming names was deliberate?) are very likeable. Both with lonely backgrounds, it is Elderflower Grove that brings them together. I instantly felt attached to Kayleigh because of how she styles out the beekeeper interview. Secondly, her passion for Jane Austen was an immediate ‘tick’ in my character box and I appreciated how Admans continues to make references to this literary legend through the story.

Not only is this a summer read, a piece of feel-good fiction, a romance story, there is also the mystical and magical added into the mix too. Elderflower Grove is omniscient throughout the narrative and seems to be watching over Kayleigh and Carey as they navigate their way around the estate. It is like the house gives its approval to the characters actions and I liked the mystery that surrounds the entire property. Furthermore, the fact that pipes clang, presences are ‘felt’, added an unexpected supernatural air to the story which made it even more magical as a result.

I could not foresee how this story developed and delighted in every revelation along the way. I had many eccentric theories on what would happen next and I think this reflected how caught up I was with the mystery of Elderflower Grove. Even though I was wrong at every turn, I immensely enjoyed following Kayleigh and Carey in their efforts to regenerate the property. It is described as so idyllic and rich in wildlife that I felt a little sad that this was make-believe and not a place I could visit myself.

Another great read from Admans and one that left me feeling rather satisfied after it had finished. Although the chapters are lengthy, it does not feel like it because the story is so compelling. As such, you would bee a fool to miss this summer read.

Kayleigh is down on her luck and applies for a job as a Beekeeper at the local Manor House, Elderflower Grove. She has no experience for this position and bluffs her way through a difficult online interview. She cannot believe it when she is offered the job! She is told to stay out of the House as it has structural damage following a fire 6 years ago. Of course she can't resist a peek and is disturbed to find a young man living there. They form a friendship and love of the Bees, the House and the Estate. Carey has been trying to find paperwork that may prove the owner was his late adoptrd Father's Mother. There are endless twists and turns, such romance is revealed in old love letters they find. I loved everything about this book. I thoroughly recommend you read it as it will make you smile, maybe even shed a tear.

As soon as I had the notification that Jaimie Admans was releasing a new book, I knew I had to read it straight away as I just love her books and I was disappointed.

We meet Carey and Kayleigh who are both at the point in life where they are keen to get their lives back on track. When they meet in unusual circumstances a friendship has formed that helps them both to start to heal.

Set in beautiful grounds, we get to know Kayleigh as she starts her new job as Bee Keeper for the precious honey that has continued to be produced at Elderflower Grove.

I absolutely loved this book, it is full of friendship and creates a magical feeling as you read. I've learnt lots about what is required to keep bees and have loved sitting down and picking it up so I can keep reading.

A highly recommended 5* read from an author whose books always leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling.

Kayleigh Harwood has recently moved back to her mums house, she's recovering from an awful break up and is so desperate to get a place of her own she applies to be the new beekeeper at nearby Elderflower Grove, despite not knowing the first thing about bees! Living locally, Kayleigh has always loved the old manor house and would love to look inside, even though she's had strict instructions to stay out as it's not structurally safe since the fire several years ago in which they believe the previous owner perished. But Kayleigh can't resist, what she doesn't expect to find is someone living there! Carey declares he's staying there to try and protect the house from being demolished, he just needs to find some evidence to prove that he is who he thinks he is, but is she taking on more than she bargained for when she offers to help him?

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is full of magic, mystery and intrigue and I was hooked from the very first page, I loved the main characters, the way they forged an immediate friendship, the chemistry was oozing from both of them and you knew that this just had to develop into something more, the manor house, although a little worse for wear in places, made an idyllic setting and the bee hives on the roof just added that little extra touch. I loved the interesting bee facts at the beginning of each chapter, which was an education in itself. Once again Admans draws you in with her delightful storytelling which had me laughing one minute and crying the next. I'd recommend this book so other readers can 'bee' charmed like I have been.

I love the front cover it’s very pretty and I was drawn to it the book straight away because of the bright colours. I really like the first chapter how Kayleigh was having a interview on line with bee it did make me smile. Kayleigh is not really a beekeeper but has a bee keepers bible to help her and she loves bees and she is fascinated by elderflower grove can’t believe her look she has got the job. From the minute I started to read the book I was hooked it is such easy read and a lovely book. I liked Jamie adams descriptions of the beekeeping I could really visualise it in my head. Will definitely read more of her books in the future.

I’ve said it for years, and I’ll continue to say it: Jaimie Admans’ books are like sunshine in story form, and The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is no different. The characters stole my heart, the setting was beautiful and vivid, the story was engaging, and I loved learning more about bees and beekeeping. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I completely fell in love with Kayleigh, Carey, and Elderflower Grove. I loved the hints of mystery and how everything unfolded.

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is both the perfect summer read and the perfect escape from the real world, which is feeling pretty heavy right now for many of us. I was completely swept away by this story, and I truly felt like I was immersed in the world of Elderflower Grove. I’ve read every single one of Jaimie’s books and, while it’s impossible to choose a favourite, this one has moved high on the list.
