I was really disappointed in this book because I found it very political--there was much finger pointing at those who wanted to protect the older and vulnerable (like persons with diabetes) rather than apply broad restrictive policies to all. As an independent who looks at all angles of what happened during the pandemic, I found this to be part of the frustrating ongoing "narrative" that is not to be questioned by many left-leaning politicians and medical professionals. I also found it disappointing that this book praised Covid-19 vaccine mandates--especially with what we at this point know about their effectiveness.

On the other hand, there are some good points about how Covid-19 and its accompanying policies shone a light on some of what we need to do to make the healthcare system better. I also appreciated some of the points made about how work from home policies have been good for overall healthcare and expanding professional satisfaction and opportunities.
