The authors' collaboration shines in crafting chilling glimpses of both redemption and ruin. As I delved into the pages, I found myself questioning the sheer obliviousness of those bent on taking lives. It's as if they fail to grasp the primal instincts of their targets, akin to a hunter disregarding the survival savvy of their prey. The fatal errors borne out of overconfidence serve as a stark reminder, even the most skilled guns-for-hire can meet their downfall.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for being able to read this as an ARC. These are my honest reviews.
This is the first time I have read a book by either of the authors. It was a good storyline, and the character development was well written. The cover art is great for the genre of book. There were the normal plot twists that you find in suspense books, but it was still a good read. I would recommend based on the character development I saw. I can’t wait to see where the next book takes us.

This was my first book by this author. I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the character development and the story-line. I will recommend this book to my book group. Will look for other books from this author to read.

With apologies to the authors & publishers, I didn't get to read this before it now.
The book has good retribution elements and character development but needs to be tightened mid-story..

The description sounded excellent, but the book just didn’t quite measure up. The writing felt a bit disjointed as I tried to follow.

These were new authors and a new series for me. The premise sounded interesting but I did struggle some with the character and plot development. There was some provocative background indicating veterans struggling with the mental and physical effects of combat. Very strong, complex female characters. There is retribution, violence and the need for a certain sleazy former senator to be exposed for his dispicable inclination towards underage. I didn’t find much suspense or mystery despite the well described action scenes. There was good relationship, romantic and friendship woven into the characters. The vigilante aspect is gritty and powerful however there were pieces I just couldn’t connect and holes in the backstory leading up to the need for revenge. I’ll wait to see what the next In series has to offer before ruling it out. A good first effort.
Thanks to NetGalley for the digital advance reader copy of “Cold Justice Book One” by Nolon King and David Wright, Sterling & Stone publishers. These are all my own honest personal thoughts and opinions given voluntarily without compensation.

I thank NetGalley for providing me this book in exchange for a straight forward review.

The opinions in this review are all mine and based on my reading of this book.
This book has a good cover with revenge drama written all over it. I picked up this book hoping that it would have several high moments and great action.
There is a lot of character development and the protagonists are well etched. The motive for the actual revenge is also documented. The theme of child abuse and pedophilia broached in this book is a serious malady and the authors need to be commended for putting it into a thriller. We have seen movies aplenty talking of these crimes. Characters with imperfections and people with disabilities are also documented in this thriller. The book has a clear dark theme running through.

While a lot of thought has been given to the process still I felt the authors needed to tighten up as the story stops, stalls, knocks and meanders like an engine with less fuel or one with a faulty carburetor. The story at least initially also is slow which for a thriller tends to put off most readers. It was slow for me and I persevered through to see the antagonist get a just end.
Recommend this book as a slow smoldering read and with caution, the theme is dark and pedophilia is not an easily digested topic.

Cold Justice was a snooze fest. It never caught my attention. It was the story of Satan and Ronnie, ando and Gen. They wanted to kill Senator Mickelson for killing Stan's cousin
Also, the senator was involved in a pedophile ring. Their plan was to expose him, which they did. And then he, his assistant and two guards were killed in a train wreck and car explosion

After I read seven chapters I wanted to put it down. I was bored. But I kept thinking it would get better. It didn't. There was no suspense. The story line wasn't always easy to follow. I was just unimpressed. I wouldn't recommend this book.

I read and reviewed this thriller on Netgalley in exchange of an honest feedback. I found this novel to be action packed and thrilling.
Thrillers and psychological thrillers are my favourite genre to read, as they always hold my interest throughout, however I found this book to be tense and dark in places.
It is the second book by the author, Nolon King that I’ve read on Netgalley now. So I’m getting used to the fast paced writing style. I liked the character development and the strong characters. The plot was fast moving.

Hiding in a closet and listening to the footsteps of the killers coming for you is a tough way to start a day. Stan was inside a closet trying to make himself invisible but with little success. He calculates the correct angles to disable them and prepares for the worst. The footsteps get closer.

Four killers ought to be better prepared to complete their mission. Success is most often contained in the minutia and details. They learned too late that their prey was also armed as portions of a closet door disintegrated in a loud debris storm. Two killers down and two calling from below, “was the job done?”

These authors collaborate brilliantly in developing frightening snippets of lives saved and lives wasted. Reading this book, I wondered if people intent on killing someone could be so obtuse. A hunter needs to consider the survival instincts of the prey they are after. Overconfidence causes some of the best-hired guns to make life-ending mistakes.

The book is well written and leaves no time for recollection. The chapters are fast and the results impressive. I applaud the collaboration of these two writers. 4.5 stars – CE Williams

The book definitely entertained me with action Frank and his team. That being said, there were a number of characters for the suspense book leaving me a little lost of who was who and who did what. The book has a lot of information that hones in on the realism of different parts of the book. The twist and suspense was intense.

The authors invest a great deal of time and effort in bringing the characters to life and this really pays off. The plot itself is interesting, without too many twists but not so simple as to be disengaging.

Cold Justice is the sort of book that keeps you guessing what is going to happen. It also raises awareness of how people with disabilities view themselves and how they perceive others see them, sometimes, unfortunately, the emotional scars are too deep to enable them to live a full life. The plot is creative, the characters are likable and with strong personalities, and the other two themes broached in this story - child abuse and power corruption - are two of the worst plagues that we have to live with nowadays. Well-written, and fast-paced, this book is a must-read in the genre.
I downloaded a free copy of this book through NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

I have had higher hopes and expectations for this story. From the cover alone I was looking at it to be a page turner with many more twists and turns.
It was a nice ride overall but maybe too slow and even the dialogue was stealing at times. I’m nowhere near being an expert or anything but it felt like it was too easy written and more like telling than showing and feeling the actions throughout the story.
That being said, I’m sure other people will enjoy it more than I have.

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

This book has the plot of a ten-page story, and the story basically is ten pages. The rest is an introduction to the characters, which are interesting. So readable, but very little action and entertainment.

This is my first experience with this author. No matter how much I tried I just could not get into the characters of the book. Rating was really hard to do. Storyline was alright. Which is why it gers its rating. Really sorry to the author but it just wasn't for me.
