DNF. The storyline alone sounds really good but unfortunately I’m not a fan of the writing style so I stopped at 20%. I don’t need reminded during every single conversation who is speaking. “Tabby Said”, “Ellie Mae asked”, “Alex responded” after EVERY SINGLE QUOTE...it’s a bit annoying!

This was such a cute and fun story that I didn't want to put it down. Miss Charlotte gave her nieces Tabby and Ella Mae her bed and breakfast to take over.
I loved these characters, hey were such much fun, they had me laughing.
I loved how they stuck together no matter what.

What a treat! I loved The Sandcastle Hurricane and didn't want it to end. The quirky characters had me in stitches. I especially enjoyed how a group of strangers formed a family. Hopefully, there will be a sequel.

This is a delightful, heartwarming story! Cousins Tabby and Ellie Mae have inherited their Aunt Charlotte’s bead-and-breakfast in Sandcastle, Texas. Both were at a time in their lives where drastic change was needed so they both readily agreed to the task. However, Hurricane Delilah is fast approaching. The girls are busy boarding up windows and doing everything they can to prepare for the storm. When their aunt calls to inform them that four residents from an assisted-living center have no place to go and that she told them they could stay with the girls at the B&B. Charlotte’s handyman, Alex, will also be there to help.

Two of the residents are military veterans. The other two are sisters but you would never know it by the way they act. Tabby and Ellie Mae wonder what they got themselves into. At times it’s like they’re running a daycare instead of a B&B. And the storm blows in a couple of other surprises, also.

As the storm rages on, the unlikely companions get to know each other better. Slowly they learn to overcome difficulties they went through in the past and grow closer to being a blended family. A story of healing, second chances, forgiveness, family dynamics, new friendships, and new beginnings, and more.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

There is a lot of sadness while reading, The Sandcastle Hurricane. This led to a lot of close new friends and family.. It was different from a lot of romance novels I've read lately, I enjoyed that fact. There were some really funny parts and parts that just made me smile too.

This was such a fun read. As soon as Aunt Charlotte gives cousins Tabby and Ellie her bed and breakfast a Hurricane comes their way. They end up with four senior citizens and a handy man. A definite feel good book. I loved it.

Aunt Charlotte has given her nieces her Bed and Breakfast. No sooner do they move in when a hurricane hits. They agree to shelter 4 guests from a senior center that is vulnerable to the hurricane. They believe it will be a temporary thing, but the hurricane destroys the senior center. This is a fun read with a lot of quirky characters. Plenty of love and laughs as the characters become a family, an unconventional one, but a family nevertheless. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

I LOVED this book. Tabby and Ellie Mae were given a bed and breakfast from thier Aunt Charlotte. The hurricane hits and knocks out power to the nearby nursing home so Aunt Charlotte tells the girls she has invited 4 guests to stay at the bed and breakfast until they receive power. She has also invited a friend Alex to help out. This book is absolutely hilarious at times. The connections they make are full of love. I won't give away the drama but just know it is full of love and laughter. I always love Carolyn's books. I did not want this to end.

Aunt Charlotte gives her two adult nieces her Bed and Breakfast at Sandcastle Texas and packs up and moves to away. No sooner do Tabby Landry and Ellie Mae Landry move in than Hurricane Delilah comes to town. As if that isn’t bad enough Aunt Charlotte takes it on her self to invite some old people from a nearby assisted living center to come and stay at the B&B during the hurricane and in the following weeks until electricity is restored and repairs are made to the center. Then two good looking men come to help out at the B&B and clean up debris from the hurricane. Find out how that works out for Tabby and Ellie Mae who just arrived at their new home a week before the hurricane.

I had always wanted to try a book written by Carolyn Brown and this was the first of her books that I have read. Unfortunately I wasn’t completely drawn into this book as I hoped I would be. I have never really enjoyed books that had cussing and taking Jesus’s name in vain. I thought there was a little too much mention of unmarried couples sleeping together. I had read the books description and there was no mention that these would be a part of the story. I thought it was very interesting the way the author gave her readers a look into the eye of a hurricane. Both Tabby and Ellie Mae grieved the sudden loss of a loved one and packing up and moving was really a turning point in their lives. The book points out that family doesn’t always mean you are blood relatives. Also that Hurricane Delilah had a silver lining in its wake.

Readers of women's fiction and fans of the author will enjoy this book.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! Aside from absolutely loving Carolyn Brown, I can see my daughter opening up her home to some displaced elderly people! While there were definitely moments of sadness, as all life has, Carolyn brings you back to complete joy! Open your heart to others, most of the time you won't be disappointed!

Carolyn Brown does it again and again. Every book I pick up that she writes takes me away in a story of friendship, love, loss and redemption. I find her crafting of words to be inspiring and lovely. Carolyn Brown is a MUST read for me.

Cousins Tabby and Ellie Mae have recently taken over their aunt’s beachfront bed-and-breakfast in Sandcastle, Texas, and they are planning to redecorate the various rooms when finances allow it. Their plans are put on hold when a hurricane is coming their way and the B&B is suddenly turned into an old people's home.

Guests include two estranged sisters with personalities to make you chuckle and pull your hair interchangeably. Then we have two Vietnam veterans who have been best of friends since they came back from the war. Finally, add into the mix good looking handyman and builder Alex and his business partner Ricky, as well as a cat, some kittens and a stray dog.

Cue the hurricane and all gets a bit topsy-turvy..

This is a thoroughly enjoyable beach read; preferably with no hurricanes in sight!

Another great cozy romance book by Carolyn Brown. Two cousins, Tabby and Ellie Mae are both from dysfunctional families, wounded by the heart after the loss of loved ones held near and dear. Together with the help of hunky handyman Alex and Ricky, they weather a hurricane at the Sandcastle B & B that they've inherited from their lovely headstrong but compassionate aunt. Along with 4 senior citizens, Maude, Cleo, Homer, and Frank whom they offer shelter to during the storm, they form a true family and discover to love and live again. Delightful characters, full of spunk, you will enjoy their banter and antics in this story. It's a good wholesome story to read on a summer day, full of hope and second chances to dream of the sandcastles that you would build after the storm.

Many thanks to #netgalley #carolynbrown #thesandcastlehurricane for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

This book was so entertaining and made me chuckle several times. When a hurricane is on its way and Ellie and Tabby take in the local retirement home people, they had no idea how their lives would change.

Ellie and Tabby learn so much during the months their guests are with them and they both learn to let go of the past and start anew.

Tabby and Alex have a great story to tell. With her cousin Ellie Mae and others you can't put this book down. It all starts with a hurricane and their Aunt Charlotte.

,,I loved this book! I've read other books by this same author and I enjoyed them. But this one, I loved.I loved the storyline, characters and setting.

The Sandcastle Hurricane tells the story of cousins Tabby and Ellie Mae. Both have been hit with life changing tragedies. Their aunt sees their need to change their surroundings and have the opportunity to heal. She turns the running of the family’s bed and breakfast over to them and moves to Colorado. Peace does not find them quickly when a hurricane is heading towards them and four senior citizens from and assisted living center need shelter from the storm.
Carolyn Brown provides a feel-good story with the perfect amount of laughter, tears, twists and “no she did not do that” moments. Each one of the characters riding out the hurricane at the B&B is believable and relatable. Chances are they could be your next-door neighbor if you live in the south.
Perfect summertime book to curl up with a drink on a shoreline listening to the waves roll in. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake, for an early read in exchange for an honest review.

Aunt Charlotte decides that she is moving to Colorado and leaving her Tabitha and Ellie Mae to run the B and B. She doesn't like goodbyes so she is gone when the girls arrive. The cousins have no clue what to do but Aunt Charlotte talks to them every day and helps them figure things out.

The girls are getting the place ready for an awful storm that is coming. Hurricane Deliah should be there in a few days. As the girls are boarding up the windows and getting ready they receive a phone call from Aunt Charlotte letting them know that there are four Seniors from the Assisted Living Center that had no place to go so they will be coming to the B and B to ride out the storm.

When the Seniors arrive it appears that there may be a storm inside as well as out. It's a great story that I think you will enjoy. I could not put it down.
