It was an intriguing, fun read. A good fantasy tale of twist and turns.
Couldn't put it down.
It’s a guaranteed HEA, with heated, sexy, intense moments. If you love passionate, paranormal romance, then I totally recommend!
Fast pace and addictive! Adventure, suspense, betrayal, secrets and lies - spiral toward the climax as fire increases between a witch on a mission and a vampire seeking revenge.
I love a good paranormal romance, and the mix of vampires and witches always seem to get me.
Night was definitely a character. I understood his brother's wanting to protect, his personal trauma, but I didn't fall in love with him right off the bat. It was definitely a slow type of love, especially compared to our FMC who I liked right off the bat. Something about Lilian just... worked better.
That being said, still an enjoyable book with a decent helping of steam and spice.
Thanks to Netgalley and publishers for this copy of Bewitched by a vampire
Lillian is a witch who is hellbent on finding out who killed her Coven. In order to do this she has to go undercover at Bastain's home. If he takes her blood she can see if he's the one that killed them.
Night and Lillian hit it off but things are a little tricky in the supernatural world of deceiption.
The writing sets up the story well, the pacing to start with was a little slow to start with but it picked up. It was action packed, a guaranteed HEA with heated intense romance.
BEWITCHED BY A VAMPIRE is the twenty-first instalment in Felicity Heaton’s contemporary, adult ETERNAL MATES paranormal/fantasy romance series. This is vampire Night Van de Garde, and witch Lilian’s story line. BEWITCHED BY A VAMPIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
NOTE: Several characters (Payne & Elissa, Antoine & Sera, Snow & Aurora )cross over from the author’s LONDON VAMPIRE SERIES formerly the VAMPIRE EROTIC THEATRE series. Night Van de Garde is Bastian and Grave’s (Haunted by the King of Death 11) brother.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Night and Lilian) BEWITCHED BY A VAMPIRE follows witch Lilian as she is tasked with taking down the Van de Garde brothers. A call from his brother Bastian finds Night ‘overseeing’ his brother’s household of human servants and familiars but for Lilian, the one female whom his brother had yet to lay claim, has caught the attention of our story line hero. A demon attack forces Night and Lilian on the run together, an alliance that threatens Night’s life and the lives of the people he loves but Night’s partnership with Lilian is a ruse, a ruse meant to imprison our story line hero. Revenge takes aim, and our couple must face betrayal and power from the unlikeliest of sources. What ensues is the building relationship between Lilian and Night, and the fall-out as Lilian’s true self is revealed, and Night has been her target all along.
The relationship between Night and Lilian is predicated upon a series of lies. Lilian is a witch, and is currently in the process of ferreting information about the Van de Garde brothers. The coven has targeted Bastian and Night but the pull between Night and Lilian is enhanced when a blood exchange creates a bond that cannot be unbroken. The appearance of the London Vampire clan reveals secrets and lies, betrayals and truths such that the true evil is someone very close. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and supernatural secondary and supporting characters including all of those previously mentioned. The return of the London Vampires aka Vampire Erotic Theatre is a welcome surprise.
BEWITCHED BY A VAMPIRE is a narrative story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, forgiveness and love. The character driven, action packed premise is captivating and engaging; the romance is seductive; the characters are familiar, energetic, and dynamic.

You get a smorgasbord in this book. Witches intent on vengeance. Vampires dodging a demon. Deceit and betrayal mixed in for good measure. Isla was a it of a shocker popping in and out the way she did. Loved the ending.
This is a new author for me to read, though I found her story interesting I struggles with it. I wanted to like Night but he was a hard character to embrace and enjoy. Trying to understand his struggles and feel sympathetic was difficult at times especially when I liked Lillian and what she was trying to accomplish. Nights brothers want to protect him especially after they almost lost him but Night wants to stand on his own and not live in the shadow of his brothers who are both very strong controlling vampires. Alot of paranormal characters which was interesting and fun.
Lillian is a witch undercover at a vampires home. She needs to get him ( Bastian)to take her blood and her his so she can see if he was the one who killed a whole coven. Night is summoned by his brother, Bastian, to his house. When he arrives Bastian took off and tells Night to look after everything. Years ago, a witch almost beheaded Night and now he hates witches. He feels a strong pull to Lillian but he doesn’t know what she really is. Between demons and witches after them, will Night be able to get past her witchiness?
Vampires, witches, and demons oh my. I almost stopped reading because it is telling both point of views of the same scene. That was a little aggravating but it only happens twice and at the beginning. Action and sex. A little bloody.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *
It's always fun to read about the Vampires in this authors world and this time it's Night who is attempting to step out from behind his powerful brothers. He's is summoned to his brother Bastions home but as he arrives Bastion is off who knows where leaving Night in charge and amongst those remaining is the most tempting human female Night has ever seen . Too bad Lillian has secrets of her own that Night definitely won't like !
I've long enjoyed this authors style of paranormal romance with its alpha heroes and the women who confront them and frequently tame them a little too. Lillian might appear meek at first glance but she's a woman on a mission and considering the possible outcome really quite brave. Night is tired of being in his brothers shadow but with his history it's not surprising really that they want to control and protect him. Thrown together this couple face danger, prejudice and even the past as they struggle to understand exactly why they are drawn to each other.
If I'm blunt I struggled initially as the author gave us thoughts and musings from the couple's perspectives which made things feel a tad slow and I really wanted to get to the good parts. Yes I'm a little impatient but I enjoy a good story with action, suspense and of course romance which happily did follow . I understand giving us insights into their actions but have to admit once they leave the mansion for this reader the story really got going.
I think as much as I enjoyed the couple falling in love and then fighting to be together it was perhaps the supporting characters who made me smile the most. Old friends appear and it was fun reading about how their lives are progressing although I must admit I'd like to read more about Grave, Nights very bossy brother. This had truly vile villains in play and the magic described was very interesting. I might have been unsure initially but once the story got into its stride this was fun and exciting to read.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I thought it was brilliant! A gripping storyline that had me hooked right from the first chapter and sizzling chemistry between the two main characters. Although it’s part of a series, I didn’t find it a problem reading it as a stand alone. Utterly addictive!
