This book was amazing ! Love a slow-burn rom-com featuring an introvert and a extrovert, these characters were relatable and the chemistry was fantastic. Just the perfect amount of spice!!

I wanted to like this so much especially after all of the hype from book 1, but I just could not for the life of me get into it

This book was a perfectly okay romance. But that’s all it really was. Okay. The writing didn’t blow me away, and I found myself skipping ahead. That being said I did finish it, but it really wasn’t memorable to me.

I didn't love The Spanish Love Deception, but I decided to give the author another try. The American Roommate Experiment is about Rosie who is having apartment issues so she stays at her friend Lina's while she is out of town. Unfortunately, Lina has also lent her apartment to her cousin Lucas. Can the two find a way to co-exist?
So the books tarted off good with some fun moments in the beginning, but it became very tedious after that. This is a book that is too long with very little excitement.

Okay I actually freaking loved this book. I thought the characters were amazing. I love the banter and the tie in to the previous book. It was so fun to read and I would totally recommend!

When you first blows up as big as The Spanish Love Deception, your sophomore novel has a lot to live up to. Honestly, it's inevitable that it won't be as good as the first and this is no different. The American Roommate Experiment was quite good, don't get me wrong. But if you're expecting the same level as TSLD then please adjust your expectations. Highly recommend though, this book is hot and a good time.

This was another super fun, sexy, banter-filled romance from Armas! I loved the chemistry, tension, and humor between the two leads. A fun, fast read!

This book was a delightful read. A perfect continuation of The Spanish Love Deception. With equally lovable women and equally swoonworthy men!

Another winner from Elena Armas. Like candy in boom form! She is an auto-purchase for our library and we can’t keep her on the shelves!

This was by far my favorite book in the series. Elena Armas is now an instant-read author for me. Her books give a feel good vibe and the characters feel like they could be someone I know in real life. I liked the trope of he falls first and one bed in this book and it was good to revisit some of the characters from The Spanish Love Deception. Lucas and Rosie had me laughing and swooning throughout the whole slow burn of the book.

i didn’t like the spanish love deception too much but this one surprised me. rosie and lucas were adorable but it felt rushed at times.

I think this series is not for me. I tried to get into the first book but did not finish it. I would still recommend this series to people who enjoy this style of romance, however it was not for me.

I tried my hardest to enjoy this book but it fell flat for me. I really struggled to finish it. The characters annoyed me and I didn't feel any real chemistry from them. Will definitely give Elena Armas another shot because there were tiny glimmers that I liked.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Since this was Elena Arma's second book, I was hoping the writing would have improved since the Spanish love deception. However, ar this point, it's safe to say I'm just not an elena armas fan.

I do not understand the hype around this book or this author. I don’t think that these characters had any chemistry with each other and it’s filled with so many romance tropes and clichés that it genuinely became had to force myself to finish this.

I absolutely loved this plot. It was definitely a slow burn but in the best way! I always felt like I needed to know what was next and could not put the book down.

This book was really cute! It was an overload of romance tropes, but I really liked Rosie, and it was fun getting to check back in with Lina and Aaron. Lucas was sweet and cheesy, but sometimes both characters could be a little annoying, which is not unheard of for a romance novel.

The romance wasn't anything extraordinary but it was still sweet and I liked that the dates - even though they were fake - felt real and were well thought through.

This was a cute romance! It’s kind of a strangers to friends to lovers mixed with best friends cousin mixed with a little fake (ish) dating!
My favorite part was all the perfect dates Lucas planned that built up a slow burn throughout the book because something always interrupted them. The grand gestures in the book were great and loved the sexual tension between them as they were forced to room together.
I do feel like this could have been a little shorter but alas! Overall an enjoyable read!

An interesting followup to the first - while tension was nicely built, it seemed that the stakes were both lower (very fixable) but also higher. Confusing amount of push/pull and seemed contrived.
