When I think of romance, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect books to snuggle up with on any day. This one took by surprise! Leslie North is one of my favorites!

What I love most about Leslie North books is that you can read them as a series or a standalone novel. In this case, I missed book one but that didn’t matter as everything was well explained.
The story kept me hooked and was a typical LN book. I enjoy the books as they are easy to read but still have a strong storyline - even though predictable at times!
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Really enjoyed getting to know Fiona who was not really in the first book in this series. Her and Eli have a complicated history and Jake getting them to work together seems like a bad idea...or is it??

Fiona Cafferty has come back to the ranch after being let go from her job in the city. The one person she was not expecting to be Eli Carter who back when they were in school together was her nemesis. Now she sees him every day since he is working on the family’s ranch. He is also a father to a little boy which really endears her to him more. When his ex starts in on him though she tells her that they are a couple and that puts them on notice with everyone in town, she now hopes she can keep it up and if she is going to stay. One thing I did not like about this book was Eli always going back to his ex even though he really had no feelings for her.

Thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the DRC of ”Wrangling Love" by Leslie North. Sparks fly when childhood rivals Fiona and Eli have to work together after she comes back to her family’s ranch from the big city. She’s impulsive, blunt, and passionate - qualities that also get her into trouble, but make her a very realistic and relatable character. I truly enjoyed this fun, funny, sweet (and at times, HOT) love story, about finding and going for what you really want, as well as second chances. I will definitely read the other books in this series, and other books from Leslie North!

Romantic, for sure... But also, a rather obvious and classic story.
Not necessarily a bad thing - you get what you came for!

The story has likable characters, and the setting is just perfect.

But while I enjoyed every bit of the story, I can't help but feel like I have read it before...
It is rather close to Amber Kelly's "Popular Falls" series - But if you liked her books, chances are, you will also like Leslie North's.

I seriously enjoyed the first book in the caffrey ranch series and was hoping this was going to be just as good. It was even better than the first and I loved the enemies to lovers storyline between fiona and eli. Cant wait for shannons story next

Wrangling Love is Fiona Cafferty’s love story with her high school nemesis, Eli Carter. In my opinion, this sequel to Wild Love was by far a better book. I loved the character development and growth shown for both Eli and Fiona, along with their magnetic chemistry. I’m excited to read the third one, Rugged Love, since this left me with great feels!

This is the second book in the Cafferty Ranch series and it follows Cafferty's younger sister, Fiona, and Eli, who works at the family ranch and was already introduced in the previous book, "Wild Love".

Fiona and Eli have known each other almost all their lives and the majority of that time they spent it as "frenemies" constantly pulling pranks on one another. Contrary to what happens in the previous book, in "Wrangling Love" we have lots of insights into the backstory of the relationship between Fiona and Eli and I believe that gives a great consistency to the story as it allows us to understand better the characters and their behaviors.

Like the previous book, this one is also a fast-paced story that keeps us wanting more even after finishing it!

The only thing I would have liked to see more of was romance: Fiona and Eli start their relationship after reconnecting as a fake-dating couple and there isn't a lot of romance until the end of the book. Besides, there were also a few scenes that felt a bit rushed.

Overall, this is a great book that I would definitely reccomend! It has all the ingredients for a pleasant read!

Eli and Fiona were frenemies in high school. Always trying to play jokes on each other. Fiona runs away to Denver after her parents die. After she loses her job she comes back to work on her family’s ranch. Eli is in charge of the new trail riding program. Fiona has to work with him. Eli’s wife left him for another man. Fiona wants to have a fake relationship in order for the town to stop feeling sorry for him. Fake relationships have a way of turning real. Eli wants to escape his home town, but when he gets his wish can he leave Fiona?

I love Leslie North’s books. This one did not disappoint.

I really enjoyed this book and thought that it flowed really well. The backstory of the characters was easy to grasp and understand. I thought all the characters were well described as well as their reasonings behind their thoughts and actions. Eli Carter is very sensitive to how others view him after the breakdown of his marriage, and Fiona Cafferty is back home on the family ranch after her job goes wrong in Denver. The fact that Eli puts his son before anything and that Fiona takes this as a given was just the icing on the cake for me. A lovely heartwarming story about will they become more than just friends who have a past?

I do believe this was my first Leslie North book. I saw the cover and since I love cowboy romances, I decided to give it a try. I'd definitely like to read more of the series since the Cafferty family seemed like a really interesting bunch.

The romance was certainly not what I expected and it seemed as though both Eli & Fiona had one foot out of the relationship for most of the book. I think that was my biggest problem with the book. The 'romance' was just lacking. Sure, there was chemistry, but the true romance didn't make an appearance until the end of the book. They 'fake dated' for most of the book, although they both had feelings for the other, it was just kept quiet. They didn't communicate well at all and I think that's what left me wanting more from the romance.

They were always competitive with each other growing up and then Fiona does something to hurt Eli, so they stop speaking to each other. Eli probably dislikes and distrusts her more than the other way around, especially in the beginning. But they don't loathe each other and I wouldn't consider this an enemies to lovers trope. Fake relationship, absolutely.

I liked how they balanced each other out when it came to the Trail Rides and their relationship. Eli was definitely the more reserved person. And Fiona was the exact opposite...life of the party, say anything (over-the-top), and carefree. She was a bit annoying at times since she seemed to misread the situation way too often, but at least she didn't let what others thought of her in that moment get to her.

The ending was really sweet. Talk about a big gesture! Go Eli! Little Patrick stole the show with his cuteness and "Glenda" references. I love it when the author includes cute kids in the story :-)

Side note: Eli's dad is a jerk. Eli should have spoken up long before he did. The man was just out of line.

Fiona and Eli were enemies growing up. Now Fiona has been fired from her job in the city and has come back to the family ranch. When they meet again the old rivalry returns and something else. This is a sweeet enemies to lovers story.

I loved this super sweet ranch romance!
Wrangling Love follows Eli and Fiona who used to be high school frenemies, pulling pranks and getting each into trouble, but when Fiona dares Eli to take her to prom and then doesn’t show up, Eli cuts off all contact. The story begins eight years later when Fiona returns from city life after being fired from her fancy marketing job. With a classic meet-cute, the two reunite when Fiona's car breaks down on the way back to her family ranch. Eli rescues her and together they bump into Eli's ex Charlotte. In an effort to protect Eli from pity, Fiona pretends that they are together, and thus the fake dating begins. The pair are further forced together when they discover that Fiona's brother Jake has partnered them up to run the new trails for tourists in the area. They are both very resistant but ultimately decide to work together and as they spend more time in each others' company, they begin to realise there are more than just fake feelings involved.

The ranch setting made me want to go hiking and enjoy reading the book from atop a mountain and I liked the background of the family run business.

Personally, I loved Eli's son Patrick, who suffers from anxiety induced stomach aches but remains a strong supporter of Eli and Fiona's relationship, immediately adapting to her presence. He was described perfectly and the conflict with Eli's dad and Eli was believable because Eli is a strong father figure and clearly loves his son dearly.

I have to say that based on the topless man on the cover, I was expecting a slightly steamier novel but the one open door love scene was well written.

The only thing I would change about this book would be to make it longer! The writing and characters were strong and clear and I wanted to stay in their world, it definitely made me want to read the first book in the series.
However, by adding in some flashbacks of Eli and Fiona in high school, showing their pranks and building emotions would have been wonderful and this would have meant that the speedy pace from fake to real relationship would have been slightly better paced.

Overall a great quick read that I would recommend to anyone wanting some sweet romance and ranch setting.

Quick Summary: A second chance - first chance love story

My Review: Wrangling Love by Leslie North was such a great read. It was a fresh take on a second chance romance. The frenemies-to-lovers angle that E and F shared was spicy and layered. Their love story presented a slow burn that caught fire and blazed into a sweet inferno.

Little P was a doll who charmed his way into this reader's heart. I loved how F took to him and wanted to protect him. I really liked how he was positioned in the couples relationship. The ending of the story and their new beginning as a family was perfect.

This was definitely better than the first book in the series - there was just more to it. Fiona was so great with Patrick right from the beginning. I definitely understood why Eli would be reluctant to get involved with Fiona - the prom thing was bad enough, but she also does act before thinking a lot of the time. I was glad that Fiona's decision to not take a new job back in Denver was more about her realizing how much happier she was being near her family than just about wanting to stay close to Eli (although that was obviously part of it). I felt that she had every right to be mad at Eli for not giving them a real chance and wanting to move away. I could understand why he felt that he had to leave town and liked the way in which he came to the realization that he should stay. It wasn't a guilt trip from anyone and instead was him thinking things through. Eli's dad is pretty awful and I wished there had been a scene between him and Fiona, I would have loved to see her give him a piece of her mind!

A lovely enemies to friends romance story. After loosing her job Fiona returns to her home town and the family ranch, only to be paired up with her nemesis Eli. They work together well, and start a fake relationship to save face for Eli when his ex wife comes to town, but fate intervenes when both are offered jobs and new starts in different places, they have to decide who/what is most important to them.

A quick enemies to lovers romance with a lot of heart. Our main characters used to play pranks on each other in high school and had a love hate relationship. Now they come into each other’s orbit again as adults and initially dislike each other due to a misunderstanding, then catch feelings for each other, only to have things stand in their way. The hardships don’t last very long, so it isn’t a wearisome process waiting for them to sort it out, and the romance is quite nice . My only complaint is the sex scenes were a bit too graphic and didn’t fit with the style of the book, but otherwise it was an enjoyable read

Wrangling love by Leslie North.
Cafferty ranch book 2.
After the humiliation of getting fired from her job in the city, Fiona Cafferty finds herself back home on the family ranch. Like it or not, she’ll be stuck working there until she can find another job. But she wasn't prepared to work beside her old high school nemesis, Eli Carter.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Loved how Eli and Fiona were together. Brilliant. 5*.
