Could there be anything more adorable? Well, I don't think so, it was too sweet to read this book!
Every lesson that the book gave me, how to draw in a cute way, gave my heart a joy, what beautiful things are in this book!
It is also a super complete guide, if you want to learn to draw in this way, it gives you the guides, the colors, the shapes, so that your creations inspire tenderness and joy.
highly recommended.
Adorable beginners art book especially for facial expressions! This had a bunch of practice pages so may not be great for a library book, but would highly recommend for a class room to use and make copies of the practice sheets for the students. I would have loved to own this book when I was first drawing in high school. The explinations are great for spacing and placement of features.
Thank you NetGalley!
Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for the advance reader's copy of this wonderful art book.
I can't wait until this is available for purchase. Fun! Great tutorial..
So excited to have it in print!
How to Draw Adorable lives up to its name and is definitey adorable. Carlianne Tispey gives us lots of tips to draw cute. Starting from the meaning of cute and basic shapes, to a little more complex like expressions or animals, I feel like everything got covered. There is also a lot of space to practice, with the beginning of shapes to help us. This is definitely a good reference book, while being CUTE all the while.

I tried several of the characters in this book and used the tips and hints to make them adorable and it’s amazing what a difference a little tweak will do. I’ll definitely refer back to this book often to make more adorable characters.
Thanks NetGalley and Girl Friday Productions for the gift of this book in exchange for my honest review. 5 stars!
The absolute CUTEST! I learned lots and with more practice, I think everyone can master it. I'm really glad I stumbled on this arc and was approved for it because learning to draw these cute characters bring so much joy!
This book is so adorable! I’m definitely getting a copy for me and one for my library.
It’s so helpful not only to start drawing but also to make it cute! For those discovering their cute style, this is for you!

Thank you Girl Friday Productions and Netgalley for the ARC. Thank you for the opportunity to review this book.
I'm giving this five stars. I had such a good time reading this and completing some of the drawings. I wish I could load upload them to show. The instructions are simple. I can easily see this as a family activity or even with a teacher with students in a classroom if they have extra time. I've been showing an interest in illustrating lately and this made it a blast to jump into. Thank you! Happy drawing! #netgalley #howtodrawadorable
This was such a fun and cute drawing book! Really helps to make your drawings more adorable and cute! This book had a lot of examples which I really liked. I just wish it had more step by step on how to draw a lot of these, instead of just showing the finished product. Overall, I really loved this and definitely recommend!
**Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for sending me this for my honest review!
I love this book!!! Realistic and informative tutorials about how to work with lines and thickness. It made daunting tasks seem simple and straight forward. Starts from the beginning rather than assuming people can draw in the beginning. This title also gives a thorough examination of what people on the whole believe is adorable even down to colors and feelings rather than just "try drawing round shapes". I actually feel like I could try drawing with this book there to guide me.
I LOVE THIS BOOK. I like doing art, but I tend to do more painting than I do simply drawing. I want to get better at drawing and trying to find my own style, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with this book! The exercises at first with shapes and lines didn’t seem useful at first, but when I did faces and such later on, it actually helped me a lot. The Lay-out of this book is also ver aesthetically pleasing, and while there are lots of useful tips, there not too many words that make it seem daunting. Overall, highly recommend!
Thank you Netgally and Girl Friday Productions for the E-Arc of “How To Draw Adorable” by Carlianne Tipsey in exchange for an honest review.
This book was the reason why I decided to redo my children’s book “I Loved You Before I Met You” with my own, original illustrations.
I always doodled when I was a kid but that didn’t carry into adulthood. This book helped me unlock my inner child and create art again.
My only note is really a recommendation- if you have the means- get a hard copy of this book rather than an electronic version.
This book is full of pages where it walks you through how to draw the specific things each chapter teaches you. Now I was able to do this on a separate piece of paper while having my kindle open on my phone, but having a physical copy of the book would have been more convenient and I’m sure would have helped me process the techniques quicker.
This is by far the greatest “teach you how to draw” books I’ve ever read. It was clear about the information it teaches you and walks you through everything you need to know line by line.
5/5 stars
This was in one word - adorable. I learned so much about shapes and sizes of ears (heh), that I never would have thought about, but which is 100% correct. I loved, that there were some worksheets in between where I could practice some. It really felt as if I was learning something and it was an absolute joy.
Lovely book! I found it to be VERY charming and very informative.
I loved how it started up introducing concepts about an "adorable" art style and why it's important, and the way it combines very deep explanations of drawing concepts with design ideas and different scenarios. The formatting of the book was great and the way the content flowed in terms of the difficulty of topics and exercises, this is a great book for every age honestly!
I was really surprised with the way it tied in some more complex design concepts in a very easy way to understand, the drawing exercises presented were lovely. The presentation of the book is super cute and all the art presented is very adorable and well done.
Thank you to Girl Friday Productions for this wonderful ECopy!!
If you’re looking for some drawing tips, especially on drawing cute things, then this is the book for you! Inside, there’s a whole bunch of tips from drawing facial expressions to changing the shapes. There’s even tips on how to make your drawings look younger or older all based on where you draw the face. The opening of the book talks about what it is to draw cute, which is really a matter of perspective. I love that it encourages readers to find their own version of cute because it’s different for everyone. Do you think it’s cute? Then it’s cute!
There’s so many great drawing tips that I think this is a great book for most people, including those new to drawing. Not only is it a great guide, but also a wonderful workbook whether or not you’re new to drawing. There’s all kinds of info ranging from face shapes to the nice and large range of facial expressions one can draw. I think this will make a great gift to any growing artist because it’s also very encouraging to those using the workbook. We’re our own worst critic, and this workbook is very sweet and encouraging from beginning to end. No one has room to beat themselves up here!
Very cute and easy to follow!!! I am not a great artist but this one was like a perfect way for beginners to start their drawings
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
How to Draw Adorable is a guide book with step by step instructions on how to make your illustrations and drawings adorable. This was such a fun book with lots of helpful and useful advice and information as well as lots of practice pages all the way through each section. So many of the illustrations are so cute and I wish I had the physical copy so I could try my hand at them as it's not so easy to do with an e-ARC . This book would be super useful and fun for anyone looking to cutify their drawings and artwork.
Loved this book! So dang cute :) I found the instructions super clear and easy to follow. I had a lot of fun following the guides and just enjoying Carlianne's drawings.
Cute, easy to follow, I had fun pulling the ebook on my phone then screen sharing to my TV so my kids could draw with me.
Drawing guides are really popular with the kids in our library, and this is an extra cute one. Nice to see a change from the typical "how to draw monsters" or "how to draw dinosaurs".
