This book is so cute and easy to follow! I showed the drawings to some of my students and they were so excited by them. I can't wait until this is out for release! I'm going to recommend it to every teacher I know as early finisher art tasks!

The title and cover of this book caught my attention, I mean we've all seen a cute drawing on Instagram or a book and thought it was easy to do it until we tried it, only to realize it's not. Well, this book helped me understand many basic things about this type of art, which, although it can be considered something simple, is actually more complex than it seems.

I liked the detail with which the author explained each topic and the simplicity of the vocabulary, so anyone who reads it will understand the book without any problem. I think it's very helpful that there are small tasks after explaining something, as a form of practice.

In turn, the reference drawings in each small lesson perfectly support each topic and are very intuitive. In my opinion, it's a good introduction to this type of art and I find it friendly for anyone who wants to start drawing, I definitely recommend it.

My thanks to the author Carlianne Tipsey, Girl Friday Productions, and NetGalley for the opportunity to get this ARC for an unbiased review.

Loved the book! Very informative and the color palette works so well with the content. I specifically loved how everything was broken down so that you can find what works best for your "cute" style in drawing. Also enjoyed still getting the basics on anatomy if drawings! The chapter titles were creative and sparked all of the joy! Much thanks for my new go to book for drawing!

I had such an enjoyable time going through this and honing my craft, so to speak. I have a love-hate relationship with drawing where I'm drawn to it, but not skilled at it. I'm very intrigued by these more 'cute' art styles, and this really helped break down shapes and techniques into easy-to-follow steps.

I followed along and attempted most of the exercises and was pleased that I was making a lot of progress!

I highly recommend this for anyone looking to improve their drawing technique.

This is a great art intro book for both adults and kids. I like how rather than the "one" way to draw cute, they give the generals and options for the user to create their unique cute style.

Would recommend this in physical book format vs electronic since there are some parts that instruct tracing over.

Thank you so much for the early copy!

This is a wonderful reference/tutorial book. There are a lot of great techniques and the instructions and images are incredibly easy to follow. I've never been good at drawing, even with practice, but I was able to make a couple pretty cute things with the provided information. I think a lot of people will get really good use from this one.

Wow. So many incredible techniques! I love it!!!

It’s absolutely cuuuute!! I still need to practice A LOT, but I can see some progress already. It’s funny how I noticed that since I read this book I’ve been wanting to draw more often. Thank you for showing us how tiny details can make such a huge difference.

This is not a step-by-step guide to drawing cute illustrations but a fairly comprehensive workbook that teaches the user the individual elements necessary for making 'cute' art.

The book has cute illustrations throughout and and the activities build on each other so by the time you complete the book you have all the knowledge you need for making adorable art.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for giving me a free digital copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review.

I love to doodle and I was so excited to find this book about learning to draw adorable things by @carliannecreates 😊 This was such a fun book to read and I learned lots. I enjoyed copying some doodles from her book and trying to create my own. This book teaches you some drawing basics and has templates for different facial features which I thought was super helpful. There are also practice pages where you can draw what you learned from each chapter. I'd definitely recommend this if you're interested in learning to draw cute things!

4.5/5 Stars

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of "How to Draw Adorable" by Carlianne Tipsey. I primarily requested this title to share with two of my children who are aspiring artists. The NetGalley Shelf app made it super easy to download on our family iPad and let them go to town on drawing. This is a super cute book with lots of instruction and a good layout for the kids to start small and get into more complicated drawings as they progress through. I am admittedly a terrible artist, but my kids love this book and can't wait to work their way through all the different "adorable" ideas!

This book is so darling! Not only does it teach you how to draw adorable babies, animals, and objects, but it provides ample spaces to practice your drawing skills. This workbook focuses on what makes something cute, elements of cute design, poses, and many more things. My students who love to draw will get a real kick out of this book. I am personally excited about creating cute little book characters with facial expressions, props, and actions. I would recommend this book for anyone who loves cute things or drawing or both!

I love the simplicity of the drawings, they are so cute! I love that practice is mentioned. If you want to become good at anything, you need to work at it. Just reading an instructional will not make you a good drawer, let alone a master.

Would love to add this to the library, I feel it is a good resource for those looking for new skills

This review contains my honest and unbiased thoughts and opinions. 🌸

I absolutely love this book!

I love to draw, paint, all things crafty but I do struggle when it comes to drawing actual objects. As I work on my designs and graphics, I've started looking for tutorials and books to help me improve. Since my daughter and I both love all things adorable and it being part of my drawing style, I was excited when I came across this book.

I think I only got a few pages in before I was totally inspired to draw something and had to grab my tablet. I immediately tried out what the author shared and suggested and have continued referring to the book.

The author keeps things fun and super easy to follow and try. She includes a wide variety of options of what to try, she includes so many examples and the instructions are the best. I have never found a drawing book I enjoyed and got this much out of.

I'm not all that great with it being on Kindle so this is one I absolutely will be purchasing to have on hand to continue using to learn and grow.

Thank you Netgalley and Girl Friday Books for providing my ecopy.

An excellent guide for beginner artists to learn basic cute art. This is a great source to learn when you focus on the essential how to make your design look cute or extra cute. I am considering this book because the informations is written so well. This book also provide exercise sheets before readers move to the next lesson.
I am a doll maker and the lesson about expression is very easy to implement in my design projects too. Her lesson about small steps such as move the position of eyes and nose to give very different looks is brilliant. I happily recommend it to my art and craft community.

This is a very helpful book that goes into all the steps to make your drawings look cuter. For instance, lower the features and make the eyes bigger or the head bigger in proportion to the body, to make the character look younger. Tipsey has you try your hand at her advice many times in the book. Her style isn't really mine and it would have been nice to see other styles of adorable, but this is a very helpful, fun book.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.

I am buying this book for everyone I know. I probably won't adequately describe why I love this book as much as I do but it was so much more than what I thought it would be! It is more comprehensive than I thought it would be it covers not just people and animals but objects, etc. I want to be Carlianne Tipsey after reading "How to Draw Adorable' by Carlianne Tipsey. How does someone get that talented?

Anyway, the book is LOADED with drawing and lots of instructions on how to draw cute. This book isn't just adorable on adorable it is the epitome of why drawing should exist and why we should spend some time learning how to draw even if we are naturally gifted. I tried a few smiling faces because I knew that I could use them with cards and stuff with my friends and family and this book will up my game on those special touches. I put one in a card to a niece and she said "I made her feel special". What more do we want out of a book than that. Charlianna Tipsey you wrote a book that is needed and I value you more than these few words can say!

Open this book up and learn and come out the other side better. Charlianna makes you feel like you can do it and this is time well spent.

Thank you NetGalley and Girl Friday Books for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This how-to drawing book was a good introduction to drawing "cute" and "adorable" pictures. As someone whose drawing skills do not extend beyond stick figures, this book had a lot of good hints and tutorials that even a hopeless artist like myself was able to follow with success.

But this book also has a lot of good tips for more experienced artists who perhaps want to hone their craft, especially if they usually lean more realistic. A lot of cool tips that will definitely help any level of artist.

Oh my goodness, this book was so fun and a really great learning tool. I love drawing but I am not great at it so I am always trying to learn how to draw better. How to Draw Adorable by Carlianne Tipsy is a wonderful drawing book! This book was just so helpful and easy to read. I really like the progression of the steps and how it stops to let you try out what you learn.
The book starts with explaining what makes a picture adorable or cute and then it builds from there. I really like how it explains the reasoning behind the concept and how it gives you opportunities to practice. For example, it shows how where the eyes are on a face can affect how cute the drawing looks. It then explains why this works and then it gives you the opportunity to try it out yourself.
This book starts at shapes and then it builds up to actually drawing figures and different poses. There are so many great sections like how to draw expressions, cute animals, and even how to develop your own cute style. I really enjoyed this book and the way it was formatted. It is a wonderful book for beginners. I think that it may be a little too easy for more advanced drawers and artists, but I do believe that it would still be a fun book to try out. I would definitely recommend How to Draw Adorable, especially to those who are just starting to draw.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.
