Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this title.
I have never not loved an Olivia Dade that I have read. She writes realistic characters that both need to work on themselves to be together, and this did not disappoint.
'These characters are my favorite in this story arc so far, and I found myself relating to each for different reasons. The forced proximity and time only added to my need for them to figure it out to be together. Another home run for Olivia Dade. One of my top books.

I have greatly enjoyed the other books in this series, but Ship Wrecked took forever for me to finish and I place the blame on how long the reader is stuck in the rewind.
The book started off fairly strong. In fact, I didn't realize how much a "dark, thick-thighed Viking" would get me going, yet here we are. Romance needs to think about adding a few more heroes of the husky variety into their books because that is something that is greatly missing from the genre. The representation of Peter and Maria are something that we all need. What else I loved was that Maria knows what she is and isn't willing to give up for herself, and her own expectations of people she loves.
As solid as the writing is, as wonderful as the characters are, the entire story gets bogged down by the timeline going all the way to the start of their relationship - which means we also have to go over events that happened in the first two books. Even at the 75% mark we're reviewing Wren (from All the Feels) being tackled by the fan on the red carpet. I put the book aside so many times because I wanted the timeline to move forward to something we didn't know, but it took forever to do.
Is the book bad? Not at all. Olivia Dade writes characters that feel like real people. But if you read the first two books in the series then you may feel like you didn't get anything new from this story.

Unable to review at this time. Will review at a later date. I'm cleaning up my netgalley in order to review 2023 books. This book sounds delightful and will read once fully caught up on my account. Thank you for this opportunity! I look forward to reading this book!

I really enjoyed this and loved the leads a lot. I love the cast of characters in this series as well.

Overall, Olivia Dade writes an excellent love story. The first chapter felt a little in my face and initially I considered putting the book down (personal preference is a slower burn), but I think it did set up the appropriate lovers to friends to lovers story line! The friendship and pining was excellent, and both characters showed great development. I would recommend this book to any friend who likes romance, well-written friendships, and to dive into the world of Hollywood!
Thank you to NetGalley, Avon, and Harper Voyager for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was laid out very weirdly, there's a 6-year time skip!!!! Disconcerting. Odd. Didn't like that. But did like Peter and Maria a lot. Oh the miscommunication was dumb though.

Olivia Dade has written another great entry in her Spoiler Alert series. She's an actor on some of the hottest TV shows on the planet, and yet she's adept at giving us characters with diverse body and nerves that feel real. The focus is on staying one night before reaching the Gods of the Gate. The job requires them to work on a remote island for much of her year, with only each other (and the crew) as companions. Peter is determined to keep things professional, while Maria wants nothing more than to explore their budding connection.
The book is funny, sexy, super hot, and even Roman-a-Clef for the Game of Thrones series. But of course, the best part is these he sees two very compatible characters come together to find true love.

This was a DNF for me. I tried. Múltiple times and with new formats, and I just couldn't get into the story.

3.5 stars.
I tried taking notes as I read so I could give a decent review, but the only note I took was “Not a fan of Maria at all”. It’s hard to enjoy a story when you don’t enjoy the characters. Parts of Peter and Maria’s chemistry was charming, but mostly it was just brash and repetitive. In general I find most of Olivia Dadd’s work to be be over-the-top and long-winded (All the Feels is a slight exception). Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC to review.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review! I had been hearing about this book for months, and I believe that this book had a lot of potential. I loved the concept, the body positivity, and the cover but the execution didn't fully work for me. I had a hard time enjoying either mc, which made the book drag. The six-year time jump also took away the audience's ability to see Peter and Maria's relationship evolve. Even though this book wasn't for me, I still think that our patrons will enjoy it and that it will be flying off the shelves.

Absolutely out of the park. I love anything Olivia Dade does but man Peter and Maria hit me in the feels.
Their one night stand turns into a work relationship and best friendship which then turns into lovers 7 years later so it’s a lot of tension in the best way.
I loved the interplay of the interviews and the show filming/scenes with the story. I felt like it rounded out the romance and made it extra tense and steamy.
I think both characters had such amazing growth and I just cannot get over them. Seriously dream relationship.
I am so happy to have gotten to check this one out- it was fabulous and I look forward to the next release.
Thank you for the advanced copy!

After reading (and loving!) Spoiler Alert and All The Feels, my expectations were extremely high for this book. Unfortunately, I didn’t connect with Maria and Peter’s story as strongly as I did with the other two novels in this series.
Maria was such a fun, strong lead that I really liked. Peter is a bit more cautious and timid so it made sense to me that he wouldn’t make any sort of move as they worked together. With her candid and upfront personality, I kept wanting Maria to push Peter out of his comfort zone and just go for it. I think this book is perfect for those who love slow burn romance but the relationship pacing felt a little slow for me. I could see how well these two characters would compliment each other and I just wanted them to open up a bit sooner. Just as with the other books in this series, I love how this story focuses on body positivity. I also found the character development and writing to be really engaging and I cannot wait to see what Olivia Dade writes next.

Oh my gosh this was such an amazing book! This story centers of Peter and Maria, two fat actors who land a role as a couple on a remote island on a famous Game of Thrones-esque show. The only problem is that they had a one night stand the night before the audition when they knew they would be working together in a remote location for the next six years. They agree to keep things professional...
WHEW this book opened with a ~bang~ and honesly kept the sexual tension GOING. There was so much pining happening over the course of the book. I like that the plot of the show was weaved in a bit as well. This book really had such emotional depth. I feel like I really understood Peter and Maria after reading it. This book also highlights the struggles that they both have to go through to be recognized as legitimate and talented actors, just because of their size. We see these two going from lovers, to standoffish co-workers, to really forming a bond on the set of the show. They also have to discover how to navigate their feelings for one another with fan culture - I was dying laughing when their co-star would send them fan fiction of them as a couple LOL. Overall, this novel just felt so real to me.

⭐️⭐️ I finished it but didn’t connect or care about the characters. The weird time jumps and Peter’s attitude towards Maria put me off. The sex scenes weren’t great either. I’ve come to realize that Olivia Dade’s writing style is just not for me.

DNF about 30% in. I wasn’t really vibing with the male main character and the writing style. Just not for me.

I have loved Olivia Dade's books about the Gods of Gates characters, but this one did not quite live up to the amazing previous installments. I loved the body positive aspect and the witty banter is always spot-on, but it felt like something was missing.

As a fan of Olivia Dade’s work and the previous two novels in this series, I was so excited to receive an advanced reader copy of this book. While I love the idea of this book - two plus side main characters, second chance romance after a one night stand, OMG they were costars - the execution really fell flat for me. The scenes when they were filming just seemed kind of odd to me, then there was a big time skip in the middle and then of course the final conflict just seemed kind of blah. There were elements I enjoyed like the mutual pining and the fact that the female main character refused to conform to expectations but overall it was a just okay romance novel.
Thank you net galley and Avon for an eARC of this book.

Olivia Dade always writes a beautiful book. While this wasn't quite a memorable as the first book in the series, it's still a great read!

I wanted to love this book so much, I really did. I am all for body positive MC's, as a full figure myself, but I find it extremely redundant and shallow to have it be one of the only repeated themes over the course of the book. The storyline was lackluster and while I always love multiple timelines this one was very incohesive. It jumped all over the place with no warning or reasoning and was very hard to follow. This rating makes me sad because I love Olivia Dade but this one was very much just not for me.

Thank you Olivia Dade, Avon and Harper Voyager, and NetGalley for an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Maria and Peter have a one night stand only to find out that they have both been casted in the show Gods of the Gates and they are isolated on a remote island together for seven years with the crew members. As they spend the seven years trying to distant themselves, as time passes they cannot deny the connection they feel.
This book is my favorite of the Spoiler Alert trilogy. I loved watching both Peter and Maria grow in the ways they needed to to heal from past experiences. I love the body positivity and not backing down from what you believe is right.
