Sometimes I read a book that isn’t bad, but it’s not particularly compelling. On Mission falls into this category.
On a topic like leadership with over 60,000 results on Amazon, you’d better be bringing something new to the table… new research, a new angle, new stories. Otherwise, why would a reader choose your book over the 59,999 other options out there?
On Mission is more of a survey and overview of leadership principles (“leaders eat last,” “leadership is about people,” “accept responsibility”) than anything fresh or different. As such, it might be a good choice for a corporate or organization book group or leadership program.
