Rugged Love is the third book in the Cafferty Ranch trilogy by Leslie North. This book can be enjoyed as part of the series or as a standalone romance.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the story was engaging and interesting. I loved the characters. I found the romance to be believable and loved watching things come together.

If you're looking for a second chance, cowgirl romance, you should definitely read this one!

A lovely small town romance with sexy Declan on trial as the local vet, and horse breeder Shannon needing his skills for her farm. The couple are very cute, and unite against some of the local characters. You know that they’ll get their happy ending, and the journey to get them there is cute,

This friends to lovers romance is the perfect addition to this series which can be read as a stand-alone. Shannon and Declan both have suppressed their feelings for each other for years, but when Declan returns to town to try to takeover the vets practice, and ends up helping Shannon to move on from the loss of her mother and reinvigorate her ranch they finally reveal them to each other and work together to gain their HEA.

Rugged Love, was not my favorite book. Shannon is too lost in her grief over her mother who had died some time ago. Declan basic crawls on his stomach to win the Vet practice that he wants to own. If someone can't see your worth that they aren't worth your time is my feeling. It was hard for me to get past those things to enjoy the book.

Rugged Love by Leslie North.
Book 3 of Cafferty Ranch
When Shannon Cafferty thinks of Declan Morris, all she can remember is the passionate under-the-mistletoe kiss she planted on him when she was a teenager. And the soul-crushing look of his horrified face. That was all it took to break her heart…
I really really enjoyed this book. Read In one sitting. 5*.
