Victoria Verity is a journalist who's on a deadline to get a promotion by her thirtieth birthday. She took the matter in her own hands and scored a meeting with Seth Pierce a billionaire who's notoriously private. She wanted to write a profile piece on him but when Seth figures out who she truly is, he offers her a job as his media consultant. I liked Seth's characterization. He was really down to earth, normal and easy going, he could also be cute at some times. His character was very refreshing than the typical cocky billionaires we usually get to see. The progress of their relationship was perfect and these two were perfect for each other. The author was new to me so it was hard for me to adjust with the writing style in the first half, which had me confused on what's going on in the book at times tbh. I also have to admit that I didn't like that tori was dishonest but I'm totally looking forward to read about Amy & Noah. I just wish Seth's brothers had more of a part in this one, especially after I found out that this is the third installment in a series. So, I suppose I'll rate it a solid 3.25 stars.

Victoria Verity is a journalist for a feminist business enterprise. While her job is on a self imposed deadline, she sneaks into one of Australia's billionaire entrepreneur's office for an interview. When he realizes she is not who she says she is, he does some digging and ultimately hires her as his personal PR rep. Throughout the book, the two main leads fight attraction for each other in the confines of their working partnership, and strike up a friendship.

This book was sweet. It was an easy read and filled with fun spunky characters. Based in Australia, there were some phrases I didn't understand but that's alright. The ending seemed a bit rushed, and the spicy scene towards the end could have been a fade to black (don't get me wrong, I love spice, but I think the book would have been sweet without it).

It was a solid 4-4.5 stars for me.

I love a classic forbidden love romance. I went into this book knowing it would follow the trope, and it did! The author did a great job of building tension with the section of the book where Seth (love interest) picks out dates for Victoria (our main character). I also love (not doing spoilers) Seth's previous relationship and baby mama back story. What a twist!

With books like these, you know the main characters will overcome it all and fall in love, we aren't in the story for a surprise ending, we're in it for the journey and "One in a Billion" gave us one heck of a ride! I'll read the rest of the series!

I have a love/hate relationship with billionaire romances. they're usually fun and opulent but also unrealistic in nature because of the inherent immorality of being a billionaire. and this book's problem was that it didn't leave me feeling warm and fuzzy so I could ignore my billionaire misgivings. if anything, the way this man went about things left me feeling icky about him. he chases her while well knowing that it looks like he's in a relationship to the entire world (also why her best friend was so okay with this I am baffled beyond words), they had a working relationship that HEAVILY was influenced by his cooperation and therefore imbalanced (she needed to write an article about him to get a promotion, he WANTED help with his image and stuff), and he omitted crucial details about his life that she should have absolutely been privy to, seeing as he was pursuing her!!!!! and it wasn't nothing he was involved in!!!! he was a fucking sperm donor to people he was close to and therefore will most likely parent the brewing child!!!!! I can't believe she forgave him all that, even felt guilty (????) for assuming the worst in him, like baby you barely know this man. you should assume the worst, he LIED to you???? and don't come at me with the 'she lied to him first' yeah in a JOB INTERVIEW. IT IS NOT THE SAME. also can't believe she said yes to his proposal after being together for five months. I hope she stashes away some cash for if he turns that billionaire attitude up a bit more and becomes abusive!!

I'm sorry it just didn't land with me, I hope that if I ever come across another one of ms. Williams books that they are more to my taste, this one just simply wasn't :/

I love Victoria and Seth, I think they are the cutest couple and seth is sweet and completely the opposite of all the other billionaires you read about but I felt like the whole book was took up by miscommunication so only a tiny part of their relationship is shown.

I really wanted to see more of them and less about pip and Sadie, I understand that they're important but it's not their book.

This author built up all the characters so well, I was hooked and I loved them all.

Seth Pierce just wants to be treated like a regular guy, not fawned over for his money. Still, he’s willing to acknowledge that he’s become a brand in his own right, beyond that of his company, and is willing to entertain the idea of hiring a media advisor. When he gets the perfect candidate in his office, even if she is there for terrible reasons, Seth knows he must convince her to take on the role.

Victoria is determined to have her story, but she won’t mix work with personal relationships. Unfortunately, she’s about to see that Seth is equally determined to get what, or in this case who, he wants.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series and found the second one cute. I’ve loved the concept of the four Pierce brothers and become invested in their stories. They’ve been great for light, refreshing reads for me. Unfortunately, this book didn’t really work for me and it’s definitely my least favorite of the series so far. Seth was adorable and clueless at times, but that was all part of his charm. I liked how down to earth he was and wasn’t that crazy about how Victoria came across as trying to change him sometimes. He was in a bad position much of the time, with a lot of the information he needed to impart to Victoria not being his to tell. There’s also a chance I was a little bit set against Victoria from the beginning when her entire relationship with Seth began with her lying to him and then being less than forthcoming about even basic information such as her name. Her previous relationship didn’t have a dramatic or particularly heartbreaking end, more just a growing apart of people who weren’t particularly compatible, so I was never quite sure why she was so hesitant about dating. Along those lines, it bothered me that Victoria was supposed to be this strong, independent woman and yet she let her best friend set up these dates that she didn’t even want to go on, and she just went along with it.

My main gripe here is that Victoria was so surprisingly immature. I definitely understood her attempts to keep things professional with Seth given that they did need to have a business relationship for much of the book, but she also seemed overly eager to play the martyr. She was annoyingly fatalistic, and it made her friend, Amy, who will be the heroine of the next book, come off as pushy and lacking in boundaries. Victoria and Seth did have stellar chemistry, but that was threatened somewhat by the painfully slow burn. I also felt like him choosing guys for her to date was a weird turn for the story and only served to make her seem even more immature, allowing others to make decisions for her, doing things she actively professes to not want to do. She keeps pushing Seth away even though she likes him and there’s no real reason they can’t be together. She tells him she doesn’t want him to touch her and that she’s not interested in a relationship with him, so he backs off and respects that. Seth is trying to be a gentleman and not push her too hard after being turned down and, rather than recognize this or actually listen to him, Victoria starts obsessing over whether or not he’s interested in her. She goes on about how suspicious she is that Seth is plotting something when he sets her up with a perfect guy, but I have no idea where this was coming from because Seth was totally up front about his reasoning. Seth tells Victoria exactly how he feels about her, and she still doubts him and thinks he is only viewing her in a working capacity. Seth’s dealing with heartache and Victoria has the gall to still go out with another guy even after telling Seth she didn’t even want to date anyone.

I just felt that Seth deserved better. He was such a good guy and Victoria spent a lot of time messing with his head. Because things were so discombobulated between them, I didn’t feel like we really got to see them fall in love. Instead, they sort of had epiphanies as to the true feelings they’d been harboring all along, which I am completely here for, I just would rather have seen them together more without so much miscommunication at play between them. I really wanted mature, adult communication and instead we got Victoria jumping to conclusions and running away without letting Seth explain anything. Her immediate judgments just made it seem like she didn’t know Seth at all. This relationship was definitely riding on Seth because she was playing games while he was being open. He literally told her exactly how he felt and what he wanted several times and she still just keeps going on about how she can’t fathom what he’d want with her outside of business. I generally am a sucker for it when the hero falls hard and first, but this time, with this heroine, it just fell flat.

I haven't read the other standalone books in this series so I want sure what to expect. I enjoyed reading with Australia as the setting!

I really liked the premise/tropes in this book.
I think the "I hate everyone but you" trope has GOT to be my favorite of all time, and Seth came off that way at first. He's the staple billionaire everyone desires who is fed up with shallow people with less than pure intentions. This is probably one of my favorite tropes of all time, because it is something I think about a lot. I always wonder how different the mental health of the rich/famous is compared to someone average like me. I can't help but wonder how lonely it probably gets for those who don't have many or even any people that they can truly trust actually care for them.
I think in the case of Seth, he was very likable in my opinion. Sometimes the billionaires in billionaire romances are a bit too arrogant and almost untouchable in a sense. Seth was relatable, and someone who seemed like a genuine person you would meet.
I had a harder time connecting with Tori at first because of her intentions going into the office. I don't like dishonesty in MCs but overall I found her to be a great heroine.

Light, easy, quick read. Fun, entertaining, quirky and cute.

Victoria Verity is a journalist with a quickly-approaching 30th birthday. She gives herself a birthday deadline to get a promotion at her workplace or quit her job and start fresh. To gain a leg up in the competition of newsworthy articles among her coworkers, she sneaks her way into a meeting with a very private billionaire, Seth Pierce. Seth is a young tech entrepreneur who hates the press. He is intrigued by Victoria’s unconventional approach and asks her to be his media adviser. The two work together to improve Seth’s image in the press and find Victoria a worthy man to date.

This was a cute romance, but somewhat forgettable. It’s not very steamy, but there is at least one sex scene. There is obvious consent before kissing, which I’m glad to see is becoming more standard in romance novels now, but I did feel like Seth’s character was a little controlling. He showed up on one of Victoria’s dates and was clearly trying to sabotage it because he’s interested in her. Overall, it was pleasant, but nothing to write home about.

ONE IN A BILLION
Overall, I really like how this book subverted tropes and felt somehow both classic and unique. I'm sure it'll become a staple rom com soon.

THINGS I LIKED:
I think Seth's pov in particular was written extremely well.
The set up was funny, but I was honestly confused and I'm not sure if that was on purpose.
I like how it started off with Seth liking Tori, but the mystery of her identity made him dislike her to add conflict. It felt very genuine.
The exposition was good, if a little late.
The first date scene was so, so funny especially Seth's commentary on it
I like Byron a lot!
Sometimes rom-coms feel like they're forcing characters to be apart simply for conflict's sake, but this one didn't feel that way at all
I love the tension of Seth picking who Victoria goes out with and him giving her advice on other guys
I love how Victoria talks to her cat.
There were a lot of really vulnerable moments!
I love how there was no stereotypical friendship conflict in the middle of the book to add tension because that always feels forced. The entier story seems really authentic to me.

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE:
I didn't get as attached to Victoria's part as much. She felt a lot more put together, which wasn't as entertaining to read about. I wonder what the story would look like if it wasn't dual pov.
I don't like the use of male to describe someone as a noun.
I understand that Seth worked hard for his fortune, but I do wish the book had addressed how a lot of people who get that rich did begin with some privilege already because it's a really tricky topic.
It wouuld have been funny if when Victoria says "it's my girlfriend", Seth assumed she was queer because compulsory heterosexuality sucks. Also, Seth could've been bi because it makes more sense than his whole "I don't date men, but I hire them" thing in my opinion.
I didn't like how Victoria doesn't seem to enjoy dating, but Amy keeps forcing her into it anyway. It felt wrong and if I were Victoria, I would have friend-dumped Amy or at least not been as close to her anymore.
There were some comments about weight/calories scattered throughotut he book that bothered me slightly
I wish Evan was introduced sooner, at least as a very minor character so it didn't seem out of left field that he's a source of conflict for Seth and Victoria.

From start to end, this story was fantastic!!! There's no words to describe this. The creation of every character in this book taught a lesson. Amy taught us the importance of a true friend. Byron taught us the importance of having fun. Pip taught us the importance of family bonds and standing up for what's important. And Victoria and Seth taught us the importance of valuing each other. In usual Billionaire's story you get to read about a guy who is arrogant and only loves money, but in this book, the portrayal of Seth's character was magnificent. He does not want to be seen as a Billionaire, and Victoria keeping her relationship purely professional was another important aspect. I'm glad that Seth was not an arrogant and grumpy lover who was hopelessly jealous when other guys pursued her, but deep down he knew he was in love with her and had to grab her back.

The situation between Pip and Seth was another magnificent edition, he was willing to go to all extents to protect his friend who was like a sister to him. He was absolutely selfless in becoming a IVF donor for Pip. This was admirable.

I love that the author Belinda Williams has added the little touch of Lgbqt to Pip's character, because we still live in a society where this is not accepted. This teaches one to never be afraid of pursuing what's important to you. Don't change yourself for others. All in all, this book was absolutely great ❤️.

A light and enjoyable romantic comedy for get over a book hangover.The beginning was a little slow, but after a few pages I was totally invested on the narrative. Goo job to the author!

I found this book to be really fun and enjoyable. It made me laugh and the characters are extremely likeable. Just an overall fun book. Takes place in Sydney. Now I want to read the first 2. 4 stars

Billionaire office romance has to be one of my favorite tropes! One in a Billion takes the typical billionaire office romance trope and turns it on its head. I loved watching laid back Seth interact with organized, professional Victoria. While Victoria works to get her story, she and Seth grow closer. The banter between Seth and Victoria was light and fun and kept the story moving along well. I loved seeing Seth come out of his shell too! The side characters added quiet a bit to the story as well. I really want Byron’s story now!

I would have enjoyed a bit more spice personally, but the level works well for the story and I’m not sure more spice would have worked honestly (I’m just a smut lover). Overall I really enjoyed the characters, the plot, and the entire vibe of the book.

I was intrigued by the description and I wasn't let down. I absolutely loved One In A Billion especially Victoria. The interactions between Victoria and Seth were great and the book as well paced. I look forward to reading more from Belinda Williams as this was the first book of hers I have read.

This was a quick read. Slow burn romance in an office setting, but not boss/employee. I felt like it was a little unrealistic at times, and the dialogue dragged in the middle, but overall it was a cute story. While I love a good slow burn, I feel like their chemistry early on called for something with a faster pace.

This is the 3rd book in a series, but I have not read the first 2. I definitely feel like this can be read as a standalone, since the brothers this series follows are barely in this one. I never felt like I was missing info to complete the storyline.

This is my first book by the author and it was overall a good experience. If I’m being honest, the start was really good and the chemistry between Seth and Victoria was off the charts. Sadly, during the middle of the book I think it could have used a but more depth both in the story and in the characters in general. The end really picked up and I was nervous to see what happened next lol.

I liked a lot the relationship between Seth and Pip and between Victoria and Amy. Since this is a series about brothers in the same family, I expected to see them have a bigger role in the story and I was sad when it didn’t happen. I’m looking forward to reading Amy and Noah’s story! In general, this was a quick, fun and enjoyable experience so don’t miss the chance to read it. “One in a billion” is out tomorrow!

I really enjoyed this! I haven’t read the previous two in the series but this reads perfect as a stand alone. New author for me and one I will add to my favourites list. Seth and Victoria are the perfect characters and I’ll be sad if I don’t read more about them.

Seth and Victoria are so much fun! I had to squint a little to buy the premise—that he would hire her even though she deceived him in order to get an interview. But it made emotional sense in the context of the story, so I went with it. The story is witty and smart, with Seth and Victoria challenging each other while also being the perfect partners. If you like light, feel-good rom coms, give the Pierce Brothers series a try.
