I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide me review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

The concept of this book is a sweet, heart warming idea. Due to time I will not be giving a thorough review of this book, but I’m sure it will be a fit for many people out there.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Brambleberry Creek, Kentucky sounds like the perfect place! HOME TO BRAMBLEBERRY CREEK is such a heartwarming story filled with family, tragedy, guilt, forgiveness and second chances when it comes to love and acceptance. HOME TO BRAMBLEBERRY CREEK is the first in a new trilogy and a little different than the previous books by Elizabeth Bromke. I’m so excited to read more by this author that as soon as I was finished, I placed all of her other books on hold at my library! The twists and turns made it impossible to put down, as I had to know what was going to happen to Morgan Jo after so much heartache! Wow! What an awesome story.

Morgan Jo Coyle is living her life, believing that she is happy with her successful career in the city. While her mind is on her job in the city, her heart is still at home in Brambleberry Creek, the small town in Kentucky where she grew up. Grandmother Essie is dying and Morgan puts her life on hold and immediately returns home to her family before time runs out. Essie can barely talk and doesn’t recognize anyone, but she asks to see her. Essie is the reason Morgan Jo ran away in the first place. The suspense of what the secret is takes most of the book to be revealed, but that is what keeps you reading. HOME TO BRAMBLEBERRY CREEK is sure to pull on the reader’s heart strings.

HOME TO BRAMBLEBERRY CREEK is a heartwarming story that will melt your heart. A very hard book to put down. It is well written and has very interesting characters. This is not my first time reading Elizabeth Bromke and it won’t be my last. Along with the subplots, Elizabeth weaves an entertaining story with drama and tension and keeps the reader engaged all the way to the end to find the answer to the secret. I enjoyed reading this story. It’s full of intrigue, and is gripping and emotional. HOME TO BRAMBLEBERRY CREEK is a wonderful story that kept me entertained and engaged from beginning to end.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bookouture through Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Story about forgiveness- even when it’s for something unforgivable. This book was difficult for me emotionally because it highlights how normalized it has become to just sweep certain kinds of abuse under the rug. Silence ensures that the bad behavior will continue. Though that was just one thread of many in this story, it was one of the secrets that built the foundation for the family dynamic in general. Good read. .

My first book by this author. Can't say that I really loved the slow moving story of family, secrets, forgiveness. It did pick up pace a little as I read further but it was still a book that could have moved quicker. I did like the characters and the author did develop them in a very satisfactory way, that made me care.

Home to Brambleberry Creek is a feel good, heartwarming book about relationships, family, tragedy, guilt, forgiveness and second chances in love and acceptance.

I liked the interaction between Essie and Morgon Jo. We can see that they are kindred spirits even after the incident that left Morgan with a permanent hip injury and a limp led to a severing of sorts in their relationship. Essie's conversations with Morgon about choosing the correct person for a life partner hits deep when we realise, as the story progresses, the extent of emotional abuse Essie has been quietly suffering at the hands of her husband over the years while always projecting a confident and brash persona in front of her family. I loved the setting of the Brambleberry Creek farm and the vivid description helped me visualise the whole setting. The cover picture is soothing and beautiful to look at.

This is my first book by the author and it's only when I checked on Goodreads that I came to know she has authored a lot of books/series already.

My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher Bookouture and the author Elizabeth Bromke for the e-Arc of the book. Time to get started with books 2 and 3 in the series.

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Home to Brambleberry Creek is a story of a family and particularly of one of its members Morgan, who finds herself unable to get into the fabrics of that family after a traumatic event. Morgan is the granddaughter of Essie Nelson, who is the owner of the farmland, house and other surrounding land; she and her Bill had grown tobacco in that farm just like Essie's father did and had made a successful go of it for some time, till they couldn't really flourish as much as the previous generation had.

Essie and Bill have had a hard life working and living in the farm with their family. And since the time their daughter Carla May had gotten pregnant out of wedlock, she and her daughter Morgan had also lived in the big farm house. Morgan, who was closer to her grandparents than her other cousins, had a fallout with her grandmother over the traumatic event and hasn't talked to her since then and took up a job in Arizona. When an illness pulls Essie down, Morgan decides to visit the big house and try to get into the family again. Will she be able to forgive her grandmother? What had triggered that traumatic event? All these questions are answered in the book.

The story was interesting and contained regular people whom we see in our daily lives. This big family is as normal as any other family, in that they have their issues and petty arguments. It was nice to read about a very real family too. However I couldn't really get hooked into the characters nor their stories. Most of the time, the story felt directionless and only during the last couple of pages did the story actually interest me to some extent. This book is a good read for anyone who love to read light, heart-felt stories about real families and people.

"Family is Complicated." That's basically the theme of the latest by author Elizabeth Bromke.

Morgan Jo Coyle hasn't been home to Brambleberry Creek in several years and had no intention of returning quite yet. She's busy living her life in Tucson selling real estate, trying not to think about the small town in Kentucky where she grew up, but the pain in her hip and limp in her walk are reminders of why she left. When she receives a phone call from her mother saying her grandma Essie had a stroke and has asked for her Morgan Jo says she'll come but only for a little while. So Morgan Jo goes back to Brambleberry Creek where she has to come to terms with the family drama, the boyfriend she'd left behind, the event that changed the course of her life and more importantly, the relationship with the Memaw she had loved so much.

This is the first in a new trilogy and a little different than the previous books by this author. As always, I love the different points of view, and the different timelines (past and present) give the reader some backstory into the main characters. This story has complicated family relationships, long-buried family secrets, forgiveness, loss of a loved one, a second-chance romance, and Morgan Jo figuring out what she really wants. This book perfectly sets up the next book in the trilogy.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher Bookouture via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

Elizabeth Bromke’s Home to Brambleberry Creek is the story of Morgan Jo Coyle who returns to Brambleberry Creek and her family’s farmhouse after she receives some devastating news. I voluntarily reviewed this complimentary pull-at-your-heart book about family, secrets, love, forgiveness, and finding your place in the world.

Morgan Jo is forced to come back to her home town for the first time in years when her Meemaw, Essie, has a stroke. She can barely talk and doesn't recognize anyone, but she asks to see her. But Essie is the reason Morgan Jo ran away in the first place...
This book is about relationships, family, confrontation, tragedy, second chances and forgiveness. The plot is great, as are the characters and the descriptions, and there is a bit of mystery about what happened between Essie and Morgan Jo. This heartwarming read is the first book in the Brambleberry Creek series and the first one I read from this author, and will certainly not be my last.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I enjoyed reading the story of Morgan Jo and her journey to forgive. Coming back is hard. Especially to face the past and her Grand ma Essie. This book takes you through the steps of her Grandmother Essie's life and how it also affects the family. Morgan Jo has to take steps to move on with her life and understand the reasons why her Grandmother is the way she is. Families can be very complicated and situations not what they seem. This book really showed how healing can happen when the truth comes out.

Home To Brambleberry Creek by Elizabeth Bromkeis a wonderful beginning to another fantastic series by a very talented author. This is a heartwarming story of family, a family with hidden secrets and conflicts, that shows you can forgive and go back home. It is told in the past and present timelines and in dual point of views. It grabs you from the first page and keeps the pages turning to the very end. I always wanted to find out what was going to happen next. The characters are wonderful but have their flaws. It is filled with all kinds of emotions, love, loss, tragedy, heartbreak and forgiveness. Ms. Bromke adds mystery and romance and makes a great read! This is a good one and I am looking forward to her next one.

Thank you NeytGalley,Bookouture and Elizabeth Bromke for an advanced copy of this intriguing book in exchange for my honest opinion.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW

Review for 'Home To Brambleberry Creek' by Elizabeth Bromke.

Read and reviewed via NetGalley for Elizabeth Bromke, Bookouture publishers and Bookouture anonymous

Publication date 26th July 2022.

This is the first book I have read by this author. It is also the first book in the 'Brambleberry Creek' series.

I was originally drawn to this book by its beautiful, eye catching cover and intriguing sounding synopsis and title. The synopsis stated that this book is 'Perfect for fans of RaeAnne Thayne, Elin Hilderbrand and Susan Mallery.' I am a huge fan of Susan Mallery so am looking forward to seeing if this lives up to this statement. I must admit I was also biased due to the publisher being Bookouture. I have yet to read a book published by Bookouture that I haven't enjoyed. Hopefully this won't be the first... Watch this space! (Written before I started reading the book).

This novel consists of a prologue and 43 chapters. The chapters are short to medium in length so possible to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

This book is based in Arizona and Kentucky, USA 🇺🇸.

This book is written in third person perspective and the main protagonist Essie Coyle and Morgan Jo Coyle. The benefits of third person perspective are that it let's you see the bigger picture of what's going on and you get to know more characters more, what they are thinking and what they are doing. It feels like you get to see the whole picture and not miss out in anything.

This book is very well written with vivid descriptions that helps the reader see the river flowing. The cover, title and synopsis suit the storyline perfectly.

This book is a slow burner but does pick up later on into the storyline. I absolutely loved visiting the gorgeous atmosphere of Brambleberry Creek. I would have loved to move in myself as it just sounded absolutely gorgeous!! The storyline is about learning to confront your past and accept forgiveness. It is filled with family, secrets, love, tragedy, romance, loss, second chances, mysteries, heartache and so much more. It is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. The pace was absolutely perfect and I was devasted when I came to the end and realised I had to pack my bags and leave Brambleberry Creek.

The characters were are well defined, strong and realistic. I became completely invested in not only Morgan Jo and Essie but the whole Brambleberry Creek family. It was intriguing to see the complex relationship each different family member had to each other and to watch them change and develop as the story unfolded. Morgan Jo and Essie are the main characters that this book is based in and we read about their past difficulties, challenges and experiences throughout the book, which made them into the people we "meet" in the present sections. The reader is given hints through the past chapters to what has happened before all is revealed. I won't say any more as I don't want to risk dropping any hints myself for future readers.

Overall an emotional story of tragedy, love, loss, family and forgiveness.

Genres covered in this book include Women's Popular Fiction, Women's Literary Fiction and Family Life Fiction and Romance amongst others.

I would recommend this book to the fans of the above as well as fans of RaeAnne Thayne, Elin Hilderbrand and Susan Mallery.

278 pages.

This book is just £1.99 to purchase on kindle or free on kindle unlimited (at time of review) via Amazon which I think is an absolute bargain for this book!!!

Rated 5 /5 (I LOVED it ) on Goodreads, Instagram, Amazon UK and Amazon US and on over 30 Facebook pages plus my blog on Facebook.

Elizabeth Bromke is a new author to me, and so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Home to Brambleberry Creek is the first in a series and although a little slow to begin with, I was soon invested in Morgan Jo Coyle, her Memaw Essie and their mysterious history.

Every family has its flaws and the Coyles are no different. Focusing on family and forgiveness, Elizabeth Bromke writes with love and passion, and is so obviously an author who just wants the best for her characters, even if there are tears and tragedy along the way. Just from the title alone, Brambleberry Creek sounds a warm and cosy place to live, which is definitely one thing which made me choose this story to read. Covers and titles are just as important to me as the description of the book. If I don’t like the cover, then I probably won’t even pick the book up to discover what it’s about!

I’m really looking forward to the next in the series and to find out the next chapters in the lives of the Brambleberry Creek residents! If you fancy reading a great story that will tug at your heartstrings, then grab yourself a copy of this.

I am lucky enough to be a part of Books on Tour for this book, so thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of Home to Brambleberry Creek by Elizabeth Bromke.

Morgan Jo Coyle is living her life, believing that she is happy with her successful career in the city. While her mind is on her job in the city, her heart is still at home in Brambleberry Creek, the small town in Kentucky where she grew up. She has spent the last five years trying to forget the hurts and scars of her past. Morgan receives a call from her mother that her Grandmother Essie is dying and Morgan puts her life on hold and immediately returns home to her family before time runs out. Not too long after her arrival back in her quaint hometown she runs into Emmett Dawson, her childhood sweetheart. They spend summer evenings together reminiscing on the wonderful stories of their past. But, is the time they are spending together actually rekindling the feelings they had for each other long ago? Morgan is faced with a tough decision, does she return to the city or does she stay in Brambleberry Creek.

This was such a fabulous story of confronting past relationships, working through them, and accepting forgiveness. This is a captivating story of family, friendship, heartache, love, reconciliation and second chances. This book, with its stunning cover, heart-warming storyline, and believable characters, will keep you flipping pages anticipating the end. It is a story that definitely hits all the emotions and leaves you satisfied at the end. I loved this book and I highly recommend it.

Thank you Elizabeth Bromke for such a wonderful story. I thoroughly enjoyed this well written book and I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I definitely recommend it.
