Events tear a family apart
But everyone deserves a fresh start
However, where that start should take place isn't clear
Until you find yourself a home that is dear.
For some, you need to go away for a while maybe
To appreciate that it is your home, you see.
But accidents, disagreements and family drama, too
Can make this difficult for the family and you.
From two points of view and times the story is told
With plenty of drama and intrigue as it all unfolds.
It is a story of family, relationships and more
About finding your place and what you're looking for.
Reconnecting with loved ones after a rift
Finding your home after being adrift,
Forgiving each other for sins in the past
And making peace with each other at last.
A story of countryside, life and romance
With family drama and giving each other another chance.
For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.
I haven’t read many of this author’s books, but I know I’ll be reading more in my future. This book is centered around the Nelson/Coyle family. I want to thank the author for letting us know when we were reading in present day or the past. Otherwise, I would have been lost. Normally, I don’t like the back and forth, but it was important to this story and it actually made me keep reading to learn what the past held. Grab your copy of this book centered around family and get ready to get hooked on this new series set in Brambleberry Creek, Kentucky. I loved Morgan’s story and I can’t wait to read more about her family.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This book is a sure fire winner. I read it in a few hours. Captivating, I had a hard time putting it down. The characters are so well written and realistic, Brambleberry Creek, Kentucky is so warm and comforting you're going to want to move here. A perfect relaxation , all your troubles will melt away as you read this.
While reading you'll swear you're on a vacation with a cool breeze flowing over you with the scent of fresh flowers and your favorite drink in hand.
Full of friendships, romance, family secrets, trust, love, guidance a little bit of drama and a whole lot of fun.
Now I NEED to read the rest of the books in this amazing series and I can't wait to read the next one in this series. I loved this book. I haven't felt this good after reading a book in a long time.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is a story of family secrets and drama and all that entails. Morgan Jo left her home in Kentucky with no plans to ever return home, but when a family member falls ill, she knows she must return. There is a mystery surrounding an injury which has left Morgan Jo with a permanent limp, which you will learn more about as the story is told between the past and present throughout the book. This injury is vitally important to the storyline, and the author does good job of building the story throughout the book.
The family members and characters are portrayed as real and flawed which makes them more real to the reader. Anyone with family issues can truly relate to this story. You will learn that family love can be tough, but lasting. The mystery of Morgan Jo's injury kept me reading, but it was honestly a little sad for me. It was a well-written plot for readers who like a sweet story while shedding a few tears along the way.
A sweet family drama about going home again. I loved the dual timeline and all the old memories that the characters share.
The book moves between the past and current times until they meet. It's a story of a family rich in memories: triumphant and tragic..
Morgan has a severe limp that was caused by an injury to her hip and estranged her from her family. You'll be entranced with the family history and want to read this to reveal the circumstances and how life at Brambleberry Farm proceeds.
Sad and uplifting at times but this is one you'll want to read for sure!
A new to me author, and I am glad I requested this book. A family saga that pulled me in from page one. The author is a wonderful storyteller; in a family story revolving around family and relationships, you can go home. The imperfect characters are endearing and relatable. However, this reader would have liked a little more pace to the story, as the essential information is slowly revealed.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
This is a cute and sweet story that goes back an forth between then and now. Morgan Jo left the home farm in Kentucky to far away Arizona. Later on she returns for a short time, but realizes it is actually home. The book is filled with stories that has happened to the family, the good and the bad. An interesting read for readers who likes folksy old countryside reads packed with family drama.
Home to Brambleberry Creek is another favorite from Elizabeth Bromke. Brambleberry Creek is a town in Kentucky. The Coyle family has a large farm that has been in Essie Coyle's family for generations. Her husband, Bill, has grown tobacco crops for years, along with gardens, fruit trees for making jams and wine, and some say he made moonshine in early years. Essie is the strong woman who holds the farm and family together, makes most of the decisions, and takes care of everyone. The house is large so most of the daughters and their daughters have always lived there. Morgan Jo, a favorite granddaughter, is the person who learns the most about strength and the importance of deciding what she should do with her life. After graduating from UK, Morgan Jo's plans didn't always go along with her grandmother's plans. Enjoy the Brambleberry Creek farm as fun is abundant yet planned to be noticed by the community. Friendships run deep and so does family no matter what happens along the way. Everything does not always turn out as planned.
An old saying states you can never go home again. Morgan intends to honor that adage. After a terrible falling out with her grandmother, Morgan has started a new life in the southwest, far away from the hills of Kentucky. Yet, she is called back when her grandmother falls ill. The interceding chapters fills in the voids about the family history.
It’s a wholesome read. The reasons Emma acted the way she did were a bit murky for me. Family ties were strong. I was glad to see the younger generation stick around and also the plans Morgan had for the future of the farm.
If a down home Country read is what you’re hankering, this is it.
A cute and wonderful read I enjoyed., Home to Brambleberry Creek was emotional, based on reviews from other readers I’m glad this was my first book from the author. It sounds like this book is a bit different than what she normally writes, and I loved it!
This story has a lot of issues that it deals with in the book and it deals with them all very well. It also has alot of family dynamics which it also deals with really well too. This is a different type of book then bromke has written before. But it is still a well written book.
This was a little different than other books I've read by Bromke. I still liked it, but it was just different. It deals with a lot of family dynamics. You know something has gone down between Morgan and her grandmother that destroyed a very special relationship, but Bromke leaves you wondering what in the world happened for most of the book.
The story dealt with relationships. All sorts of relationships within the family are revealed and sometimes questioned. There are also the relationships between the man Morgan has been seeing before returning home to Brambleberry Creek and the one between Morgan and the man she left behind when she left her home to town. The biggest relationship, however, is that between Morgan and MeMaw Essie.
A very enjoyable book of family secrets and things now talked about and exactly how important family is.
Thanks to the author and Bookouture for the gifted copy via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.
Great start to a new series! This book is full of emotions, family drama and forgiveness; it will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. It's a great story that you don't want to miss.

I always enjoy Ms. Bromke's stories. They are clean, sweet, heartwarming, and give me all the feels. This one was no different. It is a wonderful and touching story about the importance of family and forgiveness. The characters were portrayed with great depth and personality and had realistic characteristics, flaws and all, which made them more relatable. Something happened between Morgan Jo and her grandmother resulting in a strained relationship after she moved away. But when her grandmother becomes ill, Morgan Jo feels an obligation return home, giving them both a chance to find forgiveness and heal their relationship. Their story is full of emotion and heart and pulled me in from the very start. A lovely beginning to a new series!

Thanks to the author, publisher, and Net Galley for the ARC of this book. I started reading Elizabeth Bromke when readers at our library requested Large Print Books. This is an author they enjoyed. I always enjoy stories by Elizabeth Bromke. They have great settings, well-developed characters, and plenty of family/relationship drama. Home to Brambleberry Creek is no exception. I think you will like this book!

An intriguing story that shows that you can go home. Morgan Jo left her home on the farm in Brambleberry Creek, Kentucky to make her own way in Arizona. An incident in the past that involved her Memaw Essie keeps her away until she learns that Memaw Essie is on her deathbed. She returns home for what was supposed to be a brief trip and eventually realizes that home is where she is meant to be. The story goes back and forth, past to present and mainly is about Morgan Jo and her Memaw Essie. The family dynamics and history on the farm play a big part in the story. The story is filled with family angst, mystery, family conflicts, loss, forgiveness, healing and happily ever after. This was the first in a series and I look forward to the rest of the series to see what happens with this family.
Thank you NetGalley, Elizabeth Bromke and Bookouture for the ARC of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Mystery and secrets are what you get with reading Home to Brambleberry Creek.
Main character, Morgan Jo, returns home and begins to figure out how her past experiences are still with her. Can she overcome past family difficulties?
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Morgan is trying to make her way as a realtor to save enough money to start restoring older homes. Her boyfriend has other ideas for her future. When called home to Kentucky after the family matriarch suffers a stroke, old feelings and secrets come back. Arizona has never felt like home and despite the distance, Kentucky does. This book is full of family drama and emotional angst. I loved it! I grew up in Kentucky and left after college. Although I have lived in different countries and states, Kentucky still has a pull. It is a story about coming home and accepting yourself.
I had good expectations for this book but it disappointed me.
It is the story of Memaw Essie and Morgano Jo, her granddaughter and their relationship. The story is told with a double point of view and alternates between past and future. I love the dual POV but it disturbed me this time.
Then, halfway through the book nothing has happened yet, you can tell something has happened between the two, there is a hint of an incident but super flat story.
There is this boy, Emmett, the love of Morgan Jo's life, but he is officially introduced in the last pages of the book. To me, he seems like a mystical entity, in short, their love story is dragged out too long.
The end is super rushed, the last thing that happens (the book, those who have read it know) really bothered me. Tho, just look at what they find.
Last, Billy, Essie's husband and Morgan Jo's grandfather, INSOPPORTABLE. This is 2012 (in the book), not 1812. An insufferable, pompous di**he*d who thinks he's better than everyone. Misogynist.
To conclude, I did not like this book. It almost got me in a reading slump.
