I finished this book and immediately ran to the authors page to ensure that it was book one in a series! It is!! It was such a fun easy read, the characters were so relatable. Excited for book two!
A fun read! The writing style was good and it was easy to connect with the characters. Definitely recommend!
Oh did I have a fantastic time reading this. It was so funny, the snark was ON POINT and I do love a bit of a friendly (or not so friendly) prank war. The Romance was excellent and between laughing and swooning, I couldn't put this down.
It was a fun book to read but it was hard for me to understand where the heroine was coming from. She was just extra in the worst way possible. Literally, everything is happening to her and then she decides to add on to the drama and I just couldn't like her. I did enjoy the overall plot though even if it was hard for me to understand why grown adults were pulling pranks on each other.
Thank you to @netgalley @xpressotours and @gigiblume for my copy of this eARC in exchange of my honest opinion.
This was my first read by Gigi Blume and I really enjoyed it!
This one was laugh out loud funny and had so much chemistry in it, that I found it hard to put down! I love a good enemies to lovers and this book did not disappoint!
This one gets 4⭐️‘s from me!
the premise of this book truly intrigued me! i love rich airhead girl meets rough hot man. but unfortunately this book just didnt work for me.
I struggled with connecting with both characters, it all felt very surface to me. the percio’s family dynamic was honestly very entertaining, i do plan to continue the series because of them!
thank you to xpresso book tours and netgalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
This was the second book that I read by Gigi Blume. It is evident that her books are filled with massive amounts of laugh out loud moments, banter, swoon and some steamy kisses!
I love a good enemies-to-more story and this one was great! Enrique and January have some great chemistry even though their relationship starts off a little rocky.
Some things to love....
-Driving lessons
-All the wrong names
-The Precio family antics
-When Enrique speaks Spanish to her. I don't even know Spanish and oh my!
This book has a little more steam and innuendo than I normally read (grab a fan ladies!), but it was still a clean/closed door read and I really enjoyed it!
An enemies to lovers, forbidden romance romcom with an endearing Hispanic family and plenty of laughs. This is the first book I’ve read by Gigi Blume and I’d give her other books a
There’s tension !
There’s spice !
The characters, especially Enrique and his family were smart and funny. I loved their family relationship and it’s what I most enjoyed about this book, the way the relationships were portrayed, with meticulous detail. I also liked the harmless pranks, some involving a Nicholas Cage cutout and Saran Wrap, whatever doesn’t hurt anyone and makes you laugh is fun duh !!
January is a wealthy hotel heiress and Hollywood influencer. She’s used to having her every whim obeyed, you might call her spoiled in some ways at the start. Yuh :) On the surface, she appears spoiled and shallow, but underneath is a vulnerable person who struggles in her relationship with her parents and her life and obviously wants it all to work out nicely.. It might be weird but I do not like it when there is strain between parents and children ~~~ but meh.
The fiery passion between January and Enrique is definitely off the charts. I secretly enjoyed all the ways Enrique tries to get under January’s skin. We love a hero that annoys the heroine hehe.I loved Enrique’s family and I’d read the other books just to find out what happens to the siblings. There’s some funny and also tender moments where we learn January may not be as shallow as she appears, because again appearances can be deceiving as fuck.
Overall, very cute closed door romcom. The characters grew on my from beginning to end. The banter was witty and it was a quick fun read!
I loved this! For lovers of romance, this is a must-read! Featuring witty banter, delightful characters, and just the right amount of steam, this is a wonderful romance.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with this arc in exchange for an honest review.
This was so cute! A wonderful romance, filled with witty banter, delightful characters, and just enough steaminess. A must read for romance lovers!

Let me start by saying that this book was adorable!
Rich girl January Madison seems to have it all - at least that's what the public thinks. But her ex is trying to ruin her reputation, her body guard is obsessed with her, and he dad just doesn't care.
Chauffeur Enrique (AKA Ricky, Kinky, Mr. Hot Bod) loves cars, which is why he chose his profession. His world gets turned upside down when he has to start driving January every where.
This book is a cute, enemies-to-lovers read. The characters were fun. You will grow to respect January and what she stands for.. and you will adore Enriques family! Gigi Blume did such a good job character building - even with the "side" characters.
I cannot wait to continue down the road of The Precio Brothers with the next installment.
On the outside this book is everything I love rom-com with enemies to lovers and forbidden romance but I just couldn't connect with it.
Unfortunately I DNFed at 73%, I put down and picked this book up several times and I just couldn't get through to the end. I'll pick up other books from Gigi in the future but this one wasn't for me.
The Hate Zone
While I was initially drawn to this story for the enemies-to-lovers and forced-proximity tropes and the fact that they started a prank war, it ended up falling a little flat. I did enjoy how January and Enrique got together, but I just could not get on board with January’s character! Normally this doesn’t really bother me, but I guess it did here.
I did really like Enrique’s family and their relationships! This was my first Gigi Blume novel, and I will definitely check out some of her others.
Thank you to @netgalley and @@gigiblume for my e-ARC of The Hate Zone!
I really enjoyed this book and flew through reading it. I really enjoyed the banter and chemistry between Enrique and January and found myself laughing out loud a lot (which is a huge plus in my book!) At first I found January a bit hard to connect with but she grew on me as her character developed. This is a dual POV and closed door slow burn romance. If you love enemies to lovers romance with witty banter this book is for you! Thank you Netgalley and Sodasac Press for providing the e-ARC!
THE HATE ZONE By Gigi Blume
January Madison is reality show star plus her father is the owner of Madison Luxury Hotels (and is a helicopter dad). Enrique Precio is hired to ferry January to wherever she needs.
😊What i liked -
✔ Enemies to lovers/ Opposite Attract/Forced proximity.
✔ January has the persona of a Diva , but she's not one in reality (don't get me wrong , she is a diva but minus the diva attitude). She is sweet and caring.
✔ Enrique is sweet, sassy , handsome (at least i imagine him like that).
✔ I absolutely loved Enrique's family, they are a hoot (all of them ).
✔ I loved the banter between January and Enrique.
✔ My absolute favourite scenes -
1. where they were dancing in their hotel room .
2. The chickens in her room.
🤔What could have been better -
✔ Wish it didn't get a little slow in a few places.
✔ I would have liked a little spice in the book ( a little more than a pinch).
📚Who Should read :
👶 Beginner's
💘Enemies to Lovers
💕Opposite Attract
💞Forced Proximity
📈My Rating : 4/5
Thank you to NetGalley , Gigi Blume for a copy.
This book had a lot of potential and was a light read, but fell somewhat short of what I wanted from it and I struggled to like the main character. For the spoiled socialite trope, January is never quite as understandable or likeable as (for example) Piper in Tessa Bailey's "It Happened One Summer".
Thanks to NetGalley and Xpresso Book Tours for the ARC in exchange for my fair and honest review.
4.5 ⭐️
Este libro fue muy caliente! ❤️🔥
What an experience that was! All the ingredients for this book to be a hit with me was there.
Hot Hispanic love interest? ✔️
Enemies to lovers ✔️
Forced proximity ✔️
Hilarious family moments ✔️
Nicholas Cage… wait… what? 🤨
At first I couldn’t tell if I would be able to connect with January, given the whole Hotel Heiress vibe and attitude, but just like Enrique we get glimpses of who she really is and it endears her to you! I also really appreciated the showing of her going to Therapy. It was just a normal thing. No big deal. Just getting the help she feels she needs.
Now, Enrique and January were absolutely electric together! The banter, the mutual dislike mixed with instant attraction, the tension! It was amazing! You just couldn’t look away.
I have so many favorite moments between the two but the top tier moment with them was definitely… wait for it…
“Talk to me in Spanish.”
😍❤️🔥😍❤️🔥
This book was definitely a more steamy closed door romance. It had some innuendo, steamy make outs and allusions to sex but none ever actually occurred.
It was like… spicy clean! 😂
I just loved the story! The ending was sweet but one part kind of threw me off and I wasn’t a fan but it didn’t detract from my overall love and enjoyment!
I am so so so ready for Ignacio’s story! Can’t wait to read that soon and all the other gorgeous Precio brother’s books! 🧡
Extra parts I loved:
The entire first chapter with Ugo! I was laughing so hard! 😂
Enrique and Velma 😂
All the name calling! (April, June, December, Ricky Ricardo, Babaloo!, Kinky, Mr. Progresso… etc.)
The Dentist
Gelato on the beach 🍨
Palm Beach trip and the pranks!
The “not date” and slow dancing
“Don’t touch anything!”
All of Mexico! 😍
All of Chapter 25 iykyk 😉
The alcove 😘
The chickens 🐓
The reunion 🧡
ADORABLE Epilogue!
+ Sneak peek at Nacho Boyfriend!
January and Enrique are like fire and ice. Their relationship is fun to watch as they go from hating each other, to not being able to resist each other. Enrique’s sweet, gentlemanly ways eventually break down January’s walls, where she discovers the truth about herself, her parents and her man. I loved the banter, the pranks and the sweet, tender moments these two share. This is a closed door romance but with plenty of sizzle and innuendo.
Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC. All opinions given are unbiased and my own.
I throughly enjoyed this book. Enrique stole my heart from the beginning even though January really annoyed me with how she acted. There were some twists and turns that I didn't except for this type of romance book but I loved it all the same.
