January is a spoiled hotel heiress placed in The Hate Zone by Enrique, her newly hired limo driver. It's hate at first site with a side of prank wars and sexual tension. I *hated* January at the beginning and wasn't sure I wanted to continue but was ultimately glad I did. This is a cute enemies to lovers romance with innuendo but no overt sex scenes. There were places where the book seemed a little clunky but overall it was pretty cute.
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the copy! The fact that it was free does not change my viewpoint and all opinions are my own.
January and Enrique’s story is one of forbidden romance and enemies to lovers. Enrique is charming, suave, and driven. January is a spoiled heiress with a thirst for more in life than her routine, extravagant lifestyle. When January unexpectedly becomes Enrique’s boss, neither are pleased about it. While I did enjoy reading about their love story, I felt like there could have been so much more. The climax in the story seemed to be very brief, followed by a quick resolution. I did enjoy the “accidental” proposal, it made it feel like absolutely something that could happen in real life.

Title: The Hate Zone by GiGi Blume
Pub date: Out now!
Rating: 4🌟
This was such a perfect summer read by @gigiblume. She tells amazing stories and I will absolutely be adding any of her books to my cart immediately!
January is a famous hotel heiress that discovers fame is not always what it is cracked up to be and money does not buy happiness. Feeling lost, lonely, and fresh off the shock of a break up and her bodyguard confessing his undying love for her, she instantly feels worse when she’s stuck with a new driver her Father hired for her. Enter Enrique and his incredibly hot body, love for cars, and penchant for pulling pranks. What begins as forced enemies & witty banter soon shifts into something heart-warming, delicate, and spicy! You’ll be swooning over Enrique and his massive family and find yourself needing a driver, a trip to Mexico, and chips and guacamole immediately!
Thank you so much to @netgalley and @xpresso for the opportunity to read this book and @gigiblume for writing this story!

This book was very adorable and I would’ve loved it even more but [SPOILERS] that weird jump at Ch 28 to eight months ahead where both characters just said what happened in those eight months just threw me out of the book.
Though I am invested because this has a BIG group of brothers and I need to know all their love stories 😆
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC to review!
4 stars!
I was so pleased with how much I liked this haha it had very cute moments between January ans Enrique. I laughed quite a bit wuth their bickering and it was nice to see the inside of someone who comes across as a typical spoiled heiress. January showed the caring side of herself nicely and I actually liked her as a character even fron the start.
Also Enrique is just perfect haha It was nice to read a male character that wasn't scared of showing emotions and just being more open.
Really enjoyed this!!
This was a delightful romcom full a tension, witty banter, and hilarious moments.
At first January’s character annoyed me because she came across as nothing more than a shallow heiress but I was pleasantly surprised to find out there was more to her than met the eye as the story progressed. I loved Enrique and the dynamic between him and his family. As the daughter of Latino immigrants I found myself relating to Enrique and his siblings a lot. I loved his pranks so much and adored his character from the beginning.
I loved this story and how January and Enrique come from completely different worlds but tried to come together to make their own happily ever after.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
What a fun romcom!
This one was packed with banter, romantic tension, and there were so many scenes that had me laughing.
Enrique, who has started his own limo service, just got a new client. Mr. Madison - wealthy hotel owner. But it turns out he just needs a chauffeur for his heiress daughter. They immediately don't get along.
Enrique and January trying to hate each other in the beginning was so funny and lead to so many pranks 😂 The main characters had great chemistry even at the beginning. Just like Enrique, I didn't love January at first but as you get to know her you see that she's not the spoiled rich girl she seemed to be and the character growth in this book was great!
I read the majority of this book in one sitting. This was such an easy and fun read that I didn't realize until I looked at the clock that I'd been reading for three hours 😂
There's so many good tropes:
Enemies to Lovers
One Bed
Slow Burn
Forced Proximity
Things I loved:
-Hilarious banter
-Nicknames/messing up each other's names on purpose
-Gelato
-The Precio family and all its chaos (I'm excited to see more of the siblings!)
-Chicken incidents 🐓
-Cutest reunion
-Puppies that come with a surprise 🐶😂
Thank you to Net Galley for this ARC copy in exchange
for an honest review.
This book was a lot of fun. The banter was brilliant and the ending was great. During the first third I wasn’t a fan of January. She came across as a spoilt rich girl, but as the story progressed she grew on me and I ended up loving her. Enrique was loveable from the start. There’s always something about men in books who come from large families!
There were bits in the story that had me grinning from ear to ear, the chickens was a personal favourite 🤣 as was Nicholas Cage!
I also love that this is the first in a series and I can’t wait to find out more about each of Enrique’s brothers.
Enrique Precio has started his limo business and his first new client was supposed to be the owner of Madison hotels, but turns out to be his spoiled daughter, January. Enrique messes with her, calling her the wrong name, etc, but soon finds he enjoys sparring with her. January hates being forced to do what her dad wants since he holds the purse strings, but hopes to begin making her own money so she can be her own person. While she's initially annoyed by her new driver, she can't deny her attraction to him. As they spend more time together, they learn that first impressions can be wrong. But could Enrique fit into January's super-public life?
An enjoyable romcom. It took me a bit to get into it, but once I was engaged it was a good ride.
This is the story of January, the daughter of a business mogul and the gentleman hired to chauffeur her, Enrique. January appears on the surface like a typical, entitled heiress to a Hollywood town fortune. However, as Enrique begins to chauffeur her to her commitments and events, we get to see how different January is behind closed doors. These two start out on the wrong foot as they butt heads and are a bit quick to judge each other. Slowly but surely, they begin to get to know each other and see there’s more than meets the eye for them both. I especially enjoyed the caretaking scene after the dentist visit and the more relaxed time they have during their visit to Mexico. This romance is closed door and while nothing progresses beyond swoony kisses, they do discuss the desire to take be more physically intimate. Overall, this was a quick and fun read about two people who come from completely different worlds and try to find a way to make their own happily ever after together.
Read this if you love:
🧡 celebrity romance (famous + nonfamous pair)
🧡 opposites attract
🧡 big, loving family
🧡 road trip
🧡 one bed scene
🧡 closed door romance with sizzling chemistry
Many thanks to Gigi Blume and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this story, all opinions are my own. I’m definitely interested to see what comes next for the Precio family as the series continues.
Content: parental neglect/manipulation, closed door romance (suggestive content but no physical intimacy on the page besides kisses)
2 stars
The Hate Zone is a chic lit romance filled with bad sexual jokes between a spoilt, rich uptown girl and a down to earth, family-man boy. With hilarious and over the top pranks, these two were more like teenagers than adults. January Madison, is a spoilt, rich brat with a personality that I could not get over. Poor Enrique Precio has been dealt a hand with a pampered miss prim, who cannot seem to take into consideration other people around her. Enrique, who was underserved of her moody wrath, must pull through!
This book drove me nuts, because I could simply not understand the heroine as much as I'd like. She was too much, and a poorly developed character. Sure, her life hasn't been the perfect one everyone seems to think, but it does not give her the excuse to be such a crude person to another, especially an innocent man caught in the crossfire.
Enrique was definitely not a bad character, but oh boy, was he subjected to the bad wrath of Ms. Madison. He perfectly encapsulates her character:
“She almost can’t help herself, like she feeds off of admiration. And that both irks me and saddens me at the same time.”
Unless you can handle this mighty, blood boiling woman of a character, why not? The scenes and interactions of Enrique and his family may be redeeming enough.. as for January Madison.. well.. that's all up to you.
Thank you to Net Galley and team for this eARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
“The life of a hotel heiress, slash reality TV star, isn’t as easy as it looks.”
Clean romance, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, and also, a spoiled/entitled MC… which the last reference is not my cup of tea. Though there were some funny lines and references, I wasn’t overwhelmed by the plot or depth of the characters. This is definitely intended for a niche reading group (like cozy mystery) and it wasn’t for me.
What happens when a spoiled heiress is driven around town by her new car-loving limo driver? Sparks. Lots and lots of sparks.
January is a total brat at first and I wasn't sure I liked her, but I loved Enrique from the first meet. I loved the banter and the pranks so much, but the trip to Mexico stole my heart and really gave me a glimpse into the hows and whys of these characters.
Enrique's large and loud family, the chickens, the forced close proximity, and the magnetic chemistry allowed for magic to happen and I couldn't quit smiling and swooning over this hilarious and fun story. So, so cute!
This was my first book by this author and it definitely won't be my last.
Content: PG13 romance (some innuendo, steamy clean kissing); mild language

Thank you NetGalley and Sodasac Press for the ARC for The Hate Zone. It is now out! I went into this COMPLETELY blind and absolutely loved every second of it!! I feel like this is the quickest I’ve ever read a book. I think I’d be very interested in reading other works by this author, she just knows how to write a good romance !! 4.5 stars!
I thought this one was a quick fun read with an enjoyable plot line. I liked the characters and the romance even if it was a little bit fast. I would read more by this author.

Story Notes
I’ll be honest, I was expecting to really not like this story after the first three chapters. I did not like January at all and hoped something bad would happen to break her down. Thankfully, she got much better as she spent time with Enrique aka Mr HB. I always have a hard time with spoiled rich women who treat others badly. I was glad to see that Januarys biggest problem was her dad and many of her rude actions stemmed from trying to annoy him or letting him influence her. Enrique taught her much more than love, he taught her respect and honor. I loved his family and their dynamic. The clash of personalities was hilarious and so fun to read. The love story was good too, though the steam level was a bit higher than I care for. But it didn’t make the story raunchy so I’ll let it pass on. That said, I would recommend this story with a warning that this rom com is a bit steamier than Emma St Clair or Sarah Adams books. It’s a sweet story that ends in the best way and that makes it worth a read.
I was given this temporary complimentary ARC from Sodasac press via NetGalley. I am not required by anyone to write a positive review but am pleased to do so. I will receive no fiscal compensation for this review and the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.
It's cute and I love enemies to lovers I loved the dynamic between the characters and it was fun read
This was a light hearted enemies to lovers rom com. Limo drive and hotel heiress.
I loved Enrique's character and his family. I could feel them and know them.. but January had no depth. I think there was a rush to transform her and in doing so, a bit of character building was missed. The Hate Zone was cute but read a bit like a first or second draft - one more pass and it would have been 4-stars.

The book follows two main characters: January, a beautiful blonde hotel heiress socialite with a pitiful ex, wild ex-bodyguard, and overprotective dad. And Enrique, her new driver, unbeknownst to them both. This rom-com story follows the pair as they do the enemies-friends dance.
Real talk — This book is a 🤦🏻♀️ (2/5) for me.
The summer turns me into a total sap, and I love a good poolside light read, but I didn’t find January and Enrique’s banter that witty or thrilling/flirty, or even that reallstic. I also learned what “closed door” meant, and realized I don’t like it. One line read “…but I’m trying to keep it PG-13.” — I’m 29, open that door, baby 🌶 ! If their character development and banter was deeper/wittier, I could have probably gotten on board without the addition of spice, but it was just another thing lacking in my opinion.
It was a quick read, so I powered through. The last 12% gave it an extra point in my book, as it finally allowed the characters to develop and showed some depth. If you enjoy a slllooooooowww burn and an enemies to lovers trope, and like closed door (like, reaaalllly closed), this is the book for you. I’m a nitty gritty deep feelings human, and this book didn’t land for me.
thank you, NetGalley for providing an arc for me in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute romance. At first, I found January annoying and bratty but not too far into the novel I started to love her and she started to grow on me. Enrique had me dying laughing. His chapter and inner monologue kept me the most entertained. My favorite part of this ute romcom book was the prank wars. I don't know why this isn't done more often in books because it was so much fun and I loved that aspect of the book so much. With this being the first book in the Precio brother series I think Gigi Blume did a great job.

Overall this was a cute romance with fun and witty banter throughout that kept me entertained from the beginning.
