This is the perfect book for summer! Mia with her sweet but independent spirit was so likable and Aiden and his grumpy exterior are an interest mix. I thought these characters were likable. I liked that this book was quick paced also.

I loved this new book! Totally love Aiden and Mia! This was a great read! Finished very quickly-as I could not put it down. Loved all their friends! I think Aiden is my new favorite character! Cannot wait for Book 2!
This is a must read!
Not bad writing, amusing banter and entertaining characters. I am usually not a fan of the insta-love trope but this one felt believable. I enjoyed watching Mia's growth throughout the book and felt a connection with her as we share some similar traits. All in all, I enjoyed this.
3.5 rounded down.
This book was adorable! I loved the usage of those classic tropes - grumpy and sunshine, liking your boss, etc. The characters were entertaining and likeable, and each grew in their own little ways. The side characters were also entertaining, and really brought you into the story more. Definitely a spicy read! The whole story was engaging and really left me rooting for them to get together. Overall a great read!
this book just wasn’t for me, i can’t exactly pinpoint what it was that made me dislike it, but i know that i lacked a feeling of connection to the characters and their relationship.
Honestly, the insta-love ruined it for me? There wasn't enough romance build-up. I would say the romance wasn't to my liking so is the story.
Great summer read. I am not normally an insta love fan but I did enjoy this book a lot. It was definitely a realistic, small town read that I would recommend to add on to your summer the list.
I didnt care for the Insta-love in this. Even though its suppose to be a Grumpy/Sunshine. I also didn't care for the characters. I felt that they were bland. I thought that the writing was pretty good. Overall, this was an ok read. I can see others really liking this book.
Thank you NetGalley and publishers for this ebook for an honest review.
I just reviewed The Hate Zone by Gigi Blume, and this book felt very similar. The banter and wittiness were so funny.
Slow burn really can make or break a book, but I wasn't so sure about this one. The pacing was kind of weird and the specific parts of the book kind of muddled the storyline. I lost my attention at times, but there were other moments that I couldn't put the book down!
I am a sucker for grumpy romance so I instantly really like this book. I am honestly a little hesitant towards the rich man trope because sometimes it almost reads as tacky, but I can say that this was not the case for this book. My only qualm is I wish there was a bit more of a buildup when it came to the romance as I think there would have been a bit more of a chance to see the grumpy part of the grumpy sunshine dynamic. But overall I thought this was a super fun read for summer and I definitely will be reading more from this author.
In all and complete honesty, this book was note for me. I found it extremely cheesy and could only get read about 60% of it before giving up. I will not be reviewing on GoodReads or other platforms because I don't want a bad review on there for people who may truly enjoy this book. I appreciate the publisher and GoodReads for including me on this read. Thank you!
This book was not really my cup of tea, It wasn't bad necessarily but it wasn't my favourite read of the year.
This was not a book I could read completely, it felt more descriptions of erotic emotions than I am comfortable with. it was also the tone of the 'love' the characters felt for each other. It was a little too violent(not in the physical hurting sense but the dominating type) for my taste.
I think readers who are more accustomed to this kind of content will be able to better appreciate it.
Reasons Why Not to Date Public Enemy CEO is the first book in the Shell Grove series. It was a low-angst, funny, and perfect book for a summer day. The banter between Aiden and Mia kept me laughing the entire time and really enhanced the grumpy vs sunshiny theme. It was easy to read, entertaining, and memorable. It set the standards high for the series and I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us in the next book.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I wanted to like this one, but it was boring to me. I feel like there are more books just like it. The characters were bland in my opinion. Insta-love is not for me and that’s what this book was.
Small town romance are my personal brand of heroine, I love them. And I adored Aiden and Mia. They were fun and entertaining, and it loved to see them get their perfect HEA
If the author would have let the characters take the lead on their dialogue and interaction instead of what her ideas were for the book, it would’ve felt more organic. Can’t wait to watch this author grow into her own. Very much look forward to the rest of this series.
Aiden and Mia had a good chemistry, this book was kind of slow for me, it's a slow burn book but still it was interesting.
Thank you netgalley for giving me a copy of arc in exchange for an honest review.
Reasons Why Not to Date Public Enemy CEO is a short and steamy romcom and a fun intro into a new series in Shell Grove. This one has a rich man and a small town girl with a wide circle of friends and family. All the good tropes are there but their romance and love felt way too fast for me. But it was enjoyable and I cannot wait to read a Maggie/Finn book in the future.
