I once worked with a guy who sold life insurance on the side and one day he gave me a pitch--I'm pretty sure it's like vomiting, you try to stave it off as long as you can but eventually it comes up and out. I tried listening and, understanding but, Christ, life insurance is so complex. When I started this book, I was thinking the same thing; it's so complicated with too many options and too many moving parts. Why? WHY??? As an adult who's married with kids you're told you need life insurance but I'm not a mathematician or an engineer and sales people make me nervous because I don't know their intentions--make some green or truly help. So, I'm stuck and I was hoping this book would be the answer. It wasn't but that's not because of the writing or the book's quality. It's because life insurance sucks. Period. End of story. Be prepared when you pick up this book; it'll hurt your brain.
