I absolutely loved this novel.
Such a great story with defined characters and a great plot.
What drew me in the most was how fleshed out the characters were
The writing style was fluid and relateable.
The cover was fascinating as well.
A reviting read overall
Definitely recommend adding this to your TBR!

MM romance a man getting a second chance at love, obsessed stalker what. ore can a girl ask for the chemistry was phenomenal

Loved the slow burn SO MUCH. I adored Callum and Grey. The only thing I didn't love about this was the reason for the fake marriage.. didn't really make sense to me? But honestly, who cares when the couple are so adorable lol

Es war ein gutes Buch. Ich würde es definitiv weiterempfehlen. Ich hoffe, dass ich noch mehr von der Autorin lesen kann

DNF'ed at 20%. The writing was poor and the characters "sounded" really immature (too much for me to handle).

Callum Pattison (Cal) is a flourishing artist and illustrator living in New York. Used to a wild and spontaneous life, he's forced to adapt to a quiet, secluded one - one full of bodyguards, a private investigator, and minimal public appearances - because of a stalker who's been escalating from seemingly innocuous texts to close-up shots of Cal at invite-only functions. The one reprieve Cal has is the memory of his one-night stand with Greyson Ineja (Grey) when they first met 10 months ago - a night that neither of them have been able to get out of their minds.
Grey is a widower who owns a successful public relations firm in Toronto, and who takes care of Cal's media presence. Due to this connection, Cal's stalker begins taking an interest in Grey, which brings them together in Cal's New York apartment to come up with a ploy that might lure this stalker out and brings those not-so-dormant feelings back to the fore.
I loved the premise but the execution really didn't do it for me. The dialogue felt unnatural/clunky, the pacing felt too rushed, and the main threat - the stalker - was resolved super quickly only to have a new issue arise immediately after the "wedding" which was then also resolved in less than 2 chapters. It felt like Olsen was trying to force too many plot points into too short a story, which is unfortunate because I really wanted to be more invested in the relationship. If it had been longer/more fleshed out, I think I would've enjoyed it more.
I do like the way that Olsen builds her characters and relationships, so I will likely pick up other books by her in the future!

Unforgettable you was a good read but i did have a little difficulty finishing it as I just did not connect well enough with the characters.
i might not reread it but i do think it was not bad at all just maybe a little better execution of the plot could've helped?

This is one of those books with good characters but a terrible premise. It just did not hang together.

Unforgettable You is a good story. Main characters Cal and Grey had a one-night-stand ten months prior to the tie of this book, and they’re both still thinking about it. Cal, who is an artist, has a stalker, and Grey, a PR person, volunteers to lure the stalker out into the open by fake marrying Cal. I won't spoil the story, but as a romance, we do have the usual sexual angst, come conflict, and a happy resolution. Since I had not read any of the other books, it took me a bit of time to keep the characters separate in my head (they were introduced too quickly, in my opinion). And it did seem a little odd that almost everyone was gay, but that might just be me and my own experience (in which my gay friends don't hang out with only gay people). Good amount of steam for those who want it. I would read more by Ava Olsen!

This was not a bad story, it was just the fact that I had not read the other books and this does not stand on its own.
Cal and Grey apparently met before in the other books and had a momentary dabble. Then they went their separate ways. Cal then gets a stalker and then poof, they are fake married. Things heat up and these two end up together.
I think a bit more editing, especially the sex scenes, would have made a big difference, but the fact that this was not a stand alone made it harder to get into.

To be honest, I was a little bit uneasy with the content however that's my own personal experience. I would say that it was greatly executed in terms of targeting the erotic genre. It is a story about two men and if this is something you may be interesting in reading then I encourage you to do so. I also think this is definitely a novel that people of different sexual orientation may find amusing including those who are also interested in the same sex.

Thank you Net Galley for an ARC of Unforgettable You by Ava Olsen. I finished this 2 days late! But it was good, and came out during pride month. Cal and Grey were an awesome couple. I liked it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of Unforgettable You by Ava Olsen. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to Netgalley and Evernight Publishing for providing an ARC to review.
Callum and Grey had great chemistry, and I loved the fake wedding and stalker tropes. However, I felt that the character's emotions and why they were against trying for a real relationship didn't work. The majority of the story was focused on the characters' commitment angst, and I couldn't connect the way I wanted. I give this book a 2.75/5.

Thank you to Netgalley and Ava Olsen for this ARC.
I don't know how I've never heard of Ava Olsen before in the LGBTQ book community, but I'm so unbelievably happy that I've found her and this series! I honestly LOVED this book. I was gripped with the storyline, I thought the sexual tension was hot and the smut lefted me feeling like an inferno. I can not wait to read the first 2 books in this series and of course read the books that follow on from Unforgettable You.

This was my first read from Ava Olsen and I can say I wasnt disappointed. It was also my first M4M read and, again, wasnt disappointed.
Olsen gives a very quick, light, spicy read. While this is the third in the series, I didnt notice that I was missing anything or the plot line without reading the other two. So can be read as a stand alone.
I'd give the spice level a 4/5 rating. Some points were very steamy. My biggest complaint would be the quickness in which the storyline ran.
If you're looking for story about a man trying to find his way out of a stalker situation by marrying someone he doesn't particularly care for, with lots of spice and other LGBQT characters, this would be the quick read for you
Thanks to Netgalley for allowing me to read this.

I read and reviewed this book on Netgalley. It was quite a quick read and I read the book in one sitting. I liked the complex main characters and the book was action packed talking about serious topics such as stalking, and depression.
I also liked the fact that the main character is an artist as I could relate to this. I liked reading about the artwork he created and about the exhibition.
This is a timely book as it is Pride month, and I rushed to write a review for this book as I noticed that it’s been already archived on Netgalley. I am too greedy with books as I love books and reading, and every book looks so great that I have to request them.
This was a nice read, and I’m giving it 3 stars.

Unfortunately, this did not work for me. While I was intrigued by the premise of this - a stalker, fake marriage, and a widower trying to move on, this was just not it for me. The writing did not flow and the dialogue was very clunky. I struggled it get through this story. The pacing was off and things seemed to happen to fast to feel realistic.
The stalker parts could have been much more interesting - more buildup throughout the story with increasing stakes to get that intense feeling. While the thought is scary, I think more was needed to get the real danger of it.
I wanted to love the relationship between Grey and Cal but it was never quite believable for me. The build up was too fast without any real connections.
I think there was some good ideas with potential, but overall I couldn't get into this story or characters.

Greyson and Cal met via their friends at a dinner party months ago. they had a very special night together - bu didn't tell any of their friends about it. Cal has a long history of being one-and-done. Grey lost his wife in a car accident several years ago - and hasn't had any interest in dating or sex since she passed away. After their night together, neither can stop thinking about the other - but with a stalker targeting Cal and Grey taking on Cal's public relations - its complicated. But when the stalker steps up their game - Cal and Grey agree to "fake" a relationship and wedding to draw the stalker out.
I loved both Grey and Cal - and really just wanted to give Cal such a big hug. The forced proximity of this book really worked to bring both guys feelings out quickly. Their interactions and feelings burned so brightly on the pages of the book. I also continue to adore this group of close, found family. This book, and the series as a whole, is such an antidote to toxic masculinity - and I am HERE for it!
I received this as an ARC via Netgalley, but these opinions are all my own.

This was a fairly short book and a quick read. I got through it in one sitting. Full disclosure, I have not read the first two books and was under the impression this could be read as a stand-alone. While I was able to follow along easily, I do suggest reading these in order so that you can form stronger connections with the characters. I do felt like the relationship was a bit rushed, but since that's most likely due to the fact I didn't read the other books, I've left that out of consideration when rating.
I liked the premise for this story a lot, I thought it would be fun, but this was also a cover grab for me. After reading it, I don’t feel like I’ve wasted my time, but I’m also unsure if I’d continue with this author's other works. Things feel very formulaic, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the punchy dialogue. A lot of the time things seemed too over the top or exaggerated and I’d picture these guys standing in a room screaming words at each other for no reason.
The stalker situation also left a lot to be desired. It’s creepy getting letters and having photos taken, for sure, but I wish there’d been something more intense to help us believe the stalker was dangerous enough Cal needed to be under that strict level of security. Or that Grey would really hope on a plane when being on the phone with his best friend for three minutes already had “work piling up”. It just wasn’t believable enough for me. It does have a HEA, and again, I was able to read it in one sitting, so even though I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped, I felt like it was still a good use of my time.
In the end, probably not for me, but might be for you if you’re looking for a quick read.
Thank you Netgalley for giving me this advanced copy.

~ M/M Contemporary Romance ~
Cal and Grey were introduced in book 1 (as side characters), and their story continued until book 3, where it culminated in an HEA. I didn't read books 1 or 2, and it was a definite disadvantage. This 3-book series features a "sextet," where there are 6 MCs whose stories are intertwined. Plus numerous minor characters.
As the author doesn't make it clear from book 1, these books must be read in order. They are not standalones. If I had known this, I wouldn't have read book 3, not having all the pieces to Cal & Grey's story.
Cal is a successful New York-based artist and illustrator. Grey is a widower who owns his own public relations firm, and he represents Cal's media interests. They met at a dinner party 10 months ago, where they had a one-night stand (told in brief flashbacks here and there). They've been fighting their attraction since then, and for most of this book.
From what I read, it felt like insta-lust that turned to insta-love. Not being part of their story from the beginning, I didn't see them interacting enough (talking/dating/hanging out), to believe they have anything other than the attraction between them. They kept making what felt like weak excuses as to why they couldn't be together. Neither one of them were strong enough to push for a relationship, being too beta in personalities (instead of at least one of them being an alpha like I prefer). They didn't actually communicate and share their feelings until the very end.
This did not make for a believable HEA, and their declarations of love at the end seemed too OTT. With both of them crying and professing their undying love.
Here's a snippet:
"𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚。 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙣'𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥❟ 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙖𝙩❟ 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚。 𝙃𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨。 "𝙉𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣。 𝙄'𝙢 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚❟ 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄'𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚。 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚❟ 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚。 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪。 𝙄'𝙢 𝙨𝙤 𝙛'𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪❟ 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪。"
The subplot involving the cyber stalker was also unbelievable. Some random person sends Cal a few weird texts that he dismisses at first. Wouldn't he have then blocked that number? (I block weird texts after receiving the first one.) Why would Cal have let this unknown person continue to send texts? Especially since the texts became more frequent and more threatening. It was when Cal received a picture of himself at an invitation-only event (that caused him to have an anxiety attack and to faint), that he hired round-the-clock bodyguards.
To quote Cal: "Yes, I needed round-the-clock protection as this person was taking pictures of me." Oh no! Not pictures!! 😱
For 3 months, he's been living like a prisoner. Putting his life on hold and hiding out. Other than the threatening texts and the photos, nothing else happened. Like the stalker actually doing anything threatening. I was never convinced that the stalker was dangerous.
Even more ridiculous was the reason why Cal and Grey reunited. It was because Grey received one threatening email from the stalker, with a picture of him and Cal talking at an event. Now he too needed round-the-clock bodyguards! 😱
I figured out early on who the cyber stalker was. It was fairly obvious not being given many choices. The resolution to this plot thread was over in a few pages. The bad person was quickly subdued with only minor injuries incurred.
The sex scenes were mostly skipped, due to them being unsatisfactory. Here's part of one scene to give you an example:

I'm not a fan of the "It's a gay world" trope either. Where all the male characters in the book are gay. The two females in the story were two-dimensional and not nice people. Whereas all the men were good with no major flaws.
The final rating was 2-stars, which means it's okay. I did have to do quite a bit of skimming and skipping to reach the end, as the story failed to engage and hold my interest. The writing was mediocre. The story had little depth. What I liked best were the physical descriptions. The characters and the settings were described well enough, to visualize them while reading. So kudos for that! 👏 I definitely see some writing talent, which I hope progresses as more books are written.
Thanks goes to NetGalley and Ava Olsen, for allowing me to have an advanced copy for my honest review.
