I swear, this is one of the cutest ‘how to draw’ books I’ve ever seen. Cat food, especially cat sushi completely stole my heart and turned it into sweet mush. I LOVE IT!!!
Thank you so much, NetGalley for allowing me to read this arc. My boyfriend will send you a bill for therapy for all the cat drawings he’ll be seeing in the next few weeks 😂😂♥️
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
101 Super Cute Cat Things to Draw is an adorable drawing book all about cats! There's some really cute ideas in this book and I'm definitely going to be trying a few of them out. The book has the perfect balance of information - not too much or too little, and is bright and colourful. I enjoyed that it contains pages for you to have a goat the designs and doodles yourself - I wish I had the physical copy so I could have had a go as I read it as the pages are so cool! There's some fun little facts dotted in the book too. The start of the book gives a quick tutorial on equipment to use, shading, colour etc then dives into the best bit - the drawings!
This would be perfect for any Cat lover, child or adult and especially beginners too. So much fun! I hope there's a dog one next!
Cat lovers who enjoy drawing, coloring and doodling will definitely want to give this title a look. I enjoyed it.
Before coming to the illustrations themselves, there is information in the book on tools and materials, as well as tips on colors. There are then drawing suggestions for everything from Sushi Cats, to Cafe Au Cat, to Cactus Cats, to Holiday Cats and more. All are very cute.
Included are many step-by-step instructions with pages for practice. There are just so many things to create here.
Those who enjoy drawing will have fun with this book. What is nice is that it is not necessary to have much art background or talent to enjoy making these creations.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto-Walter Foster for this title. All opinions are my own.
What a cute book! Think this will be perfect for the drawing section in the library - kids and adults alike could enjoy this one.
This a fun book! I love cats but have little drawing ability. I still need practice but I was able to create recognizable doodles. There is a bit of information at the beginning about tools, colors, and patterns. Then the cute drawings start. There’s a good variety of drawings so you can find something you like.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
While this book is undoubtedly adorable and totally kawaii what really impressed me were all of the different genres of cats. I assumed that it would just be different species or in a different position but we get things like Unicorn cat, dragon cat, cat in broccoli, cat mitts and hats and so many adorable doodles.
I think if you have a bullet journal and you want a cat theme or you just like drawing cats this is a great reference tool for so many different styles.
Lovely,
101 Super Cute Cat Things to Draw by Lulu Mayo There are step-by-step drawing tutorials for the coloring, drawing, and doodling adorable kitties throughout the book. Cats in all types of situations, here, there and everywhere. Will be looking for the published edition to experience the full enjoyment of this delightful book.

This is a lovely book! So many quirky cats to draw! This book will also boost skills, I particularly like the reference to the colour wheel and it has taught me much about the use of colour and how to use this to best effect.
The book is sectioned into themes such as stationary, food, clothes etc, and each of these has cats entwined with various other things. We are taught how to replicate these quirky images.
The style is modern /contemporary and super cute, it would lend itself well to people looking to. create their own cards, though Im sure there are endless ways to use these images!
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.
An adorable guide that directs with simplicity. A great book for doodlers, teens, and novice artists, as well as anyone who loves kawaii. For lovers of cats and all things plushy. Pasta cats, sushi cats, cats, cats, cats!

Thank you #NetGalley and author #LuluMayo for sending me a copy of this fantastic book 101 Super Cute Cat Things to Draw!!
This is such a cute book! Lulu Mayo teaches us how to draw some of the cutest little cat things.
It starts out with a section of using a color wheel. I love the title of one of them "Pawsitively Pretty Pastels". From there on, the author shows up 101 ways to draw a cat. Such as a cat dragon, a mushroom cat, a cat cabbage, and cats drawn as zodiac signs!
Even if you don't draw all of the cats, this is definitely a must-have for all cat lovers!
It’s quite the title, isn't it? Looking through the book, though, it makes sense; this was adorable, quirky, inspirational, and full of kitties.
It’s also accessible - you don’t need to be a fantastic artist to get started here. The author shares some tools, color information, and her step-by-step techniques for creating some charming felines. The result is a happy book that makes you smile as well as reach for sketch paper.
Recommended for kitty fans and doodlers of any level of expertise.

Thank you NetGalley, from Quarto Publishing Group – Walter Foster and Lulu Mayo for letting me review “101 Super Cute Cat Things to Draw”, in exchange for an honest review!
Be aware! Super mega cuteness ahead, cat lovers!!!!! I used to be able to draw quite well but lately discovered, I am not that good anymore.
Why did I had to get this? Simple, I am a crazy cat mom of four kitties and I love to draw and doodle. This is a super cute step by step/copy the outlines book. I assume that in the physical copy you will be able to draw In the book as well as there are templates. It starts out with a quick Color guide and also a bit of shading and also goes into materials. So it’s a bit educational as well, for the non-experienced drawer and becoming artists. This was very quick for me to get through. Not too much text and too complicated instructions, just the right mix.
I am not sure what age group this is for, very young kids might have trouble with some of the more challenging shapes (avocado cat, popcorn cat….). But there is something for everyone.
I really enjoyed the diversity. We start with “realistic” doodle cats and then it goes down the unconventional road. I especially enjoyed the star sign cats, holidays and cactus cats.
The book is very good to look at and super funny and quirky. You see that it was done with live. Ilove it! Perfect for the cat lover!
A ton of super, super cute cartoony cats for anyone wanting to draw a bunch of really creative kitties incorporated into all sorts of shapes and frames. I can't wait to try some of them. There are some waving and horoscopes ones that I won't be tackling but there are tons of others like cat dragons, cats with clothes and accessories, sushi cats (and other foods), cat crockery, cactus cats, stationery cats, holiday cats and artist cats.
The step-by-step instructions are easy to follow and there are some frames for you to fill in. Really a jump start for you to use your creativity to draw any type of cat.
5 stars for me!
