Cool and fun questions. You can play the game either with your partner or your friends and having great time. Especially good for date nights or pijama parties with a glass of wine
This book was very fun! Whether your relationship is new or not, you’ll still learn something about your partner! Simple way to have fun together while also getting to know each other.
This had a fun and interesting concept and I was excited to see what kind of questions the book had in store, hoping there were things I'd want to ask, hadn't already asked, and wanted to know the answer to. Turns out this book brought us closer together and solidified out or marriage in a way I wasn't expecting. I knew his answers before he gave them. I think this is more fun for new, bidding couples but, as I said, it wasn't a total waste for us either.
I brought this book along with me on a date with my partner and we had such a good time choosing different questions to ask one another! Great for getting to know someone you're dating, or even as an ice breaker around the dinner table (some of the questions!) with your family.
Well this book was super fun! The above question was just one example from this book! I am on a road trip with my family, and the questions in this book entertained us for hours! It got us all talking, and led to lots of laughs. While it says for couples, the questions are easy enough to make good for families too!
Both me and my husband thought his was a really fun book to read.
Some of the question was hard to choose but we had very fun.
I really recommend this one to all the couples out there.
It's really ironic that this came up on Netgalley right now because I recently got back together with my ex (best friend/fiance) and while we were re-kindling I was FRANTICALLY searching for THIS EXACT TYPE OF BOOK!
I wanted something fun, playful and a way to re-ignite the spark we had- what's better to learn (or re-learn) about someone than WOULD YOU RATHER!? Seriously- nothing. You can go to a movie, or to dinner...but sometimes (NOT ALWAYS!!) you may be stuck on what to talk about...you may be nervous...you may be trying to break the ice and find out what kind of person someone is- these are THE BEST for that!!
Be warned: there are some spicy and NSFW (not safe for work) questions, so if this isn't your jam or style- skiparoo to the next section (there are a plethora of different sections)! There are some awesome categories and questions that I haven't seen before - truly inventive and unique...and thought provoking! There are some no-brainers for me personally based on my lifestyle, but it's cool to see what your partner thinks or where they stand on certain things.
I do think that MAYBE the book would be better suited if it dropped the premise of it being 'for Couples' - while there are some racy and bedroom questions, I think this could be a great book to crack open with your friends or family (CONTENT PERMITTING) -some of the questions directed towards 'with your partner' could be answered in general to ANY partner. (If that makes sense)
*Another book I will probably buy after reading this DRC because it has A LOT of content and you'll never get the same answers from everyone ~! (Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley)
This is an easy book to grab and just flip through. It brings up some interesting questions, and I like the suggestions on different ways to play. Being long-married, the "newlywed" version of the game is fun. Do I know my husband as well as I think I do? That said, some of the questions are pretty obvious. Would I rather have fingers for toes or toes for fingers? Who wants toes for fingers?? Overall, I'm glad I have this book and I can see opening up and paging through when we are bored, but I guess it is hard to come up with that many questions and some are bound to not be good ones.
A couple of these questions definitely made us laugh but this book isn’t meant to be binged. Definitely take your time going through these questions!
My husband and I did this while I feeding our newborn baby and had the best time. It was a nice way to end the night and enjoy each others companies amidst the chaos.
I really enjoyed discussing these with my husband. It was fun to decide what we would do any why we would choose it.
Shorter than I imagined but still a fun to do while eating a meal or short activity once. Not enough content to really make it last over a long period of time
What a fun book! I think I will be purchasing a few copies for wedding gifts. They sparked some great conversation in my marriage!
Fun book to go through! Could be used on a date or it could be used to as a daily conversation starter.
I read this book with my boyfriend on a Saturday evening. We liked the introduction of this book. It was a funny, cute, short story how the authors met eachother.
Then we started with answering the questions. We had a great time! Later on we skipped the introduction of the new question because we just want to play.
The only thing we found irritating was that the questions were not always showing right. But that was I think because we were reading the ebook.
Short conclusion: We had a lot of fun reading this book and we would recommend it to other couples!
Thank you Netgallery and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read in exchange for an honest review.
I don't know what I was expecting but somehow this still fell short for me. Maybe another couple will like it more, but I didn't like it at all.
These seem like fun questions and a great way to spend time with your partner. They may even be useful to help get to know a potential partner in the first place.
I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion
Such a fun book! I've definitely played this game with my daughter before so I was instantly intrigued by this book of would yoi rathers aimed toward couples. I really liked it and am looking forward to reading even more of these questions with my husband.
My husband said it best “the problem with these books is you have to write down everything you think of.” So basically, there were some good ones and a lot of bad ones. Also why so much catastrophe? But we had a lot of fun doing this and I think other couples would too.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
Working at a library, I've seen the kid's versions of these Would You Rather books so I was intrigued by this Couples version. My husband and I had some fun going through this book. Some of the questions seemed a bit juvenile and others were perfect conversation starters. My husband is a big movie and TV watcher so he really enjoyed the questions that pertained to entertainment.
Overall, I think there are fun questions for everyone but not all the questions are going to pertain to every couple.
