Loved everything and more about this book, the bros are definitely back and there no getting away from it, can't recommend this book enough!
The next establishment in the Bromance BookClub Series brings us two very different people. Gretchen, a for-the-people lawyer is just trying to do well by her clients and keep herself away from the clutches of her family. Colton, a successful country star, is having trouble writing music for his next album. Their two worlds collide when Gretchen's family want Colton to endorse their scotch. What they don't expect is their very brief past to come back into play. Well, at least Gretchen didn.t Colton, on the other hand, had other plans all along.
It's actually some of the things that Adams did well that really weren't for me. I totally believed Colton as the ego in public/vulnerable in private country star. I also really believed in the do gooder lawyer that Gretchen was. The problem is, I really didn't care for Colton. Gretchen with anyone else may not have worked, because Colton definitely pushed her to do well for herself and stick up for herself in some ways. But Colton just wasn't for me. I also felt like they got together initially a little too quick. I know Gretchen had to break down some walls for him, but it just felt too quick for me for it to be believable with so much of the book left to read.
Hope if there's another in the series that it grabs me. Thanks for the ARC!
Loved everything and more about this book, the bros are definitely back and there no getting away from it, cant recommend this book
I absolutely loved this one and was my favourite from the series so far.
I love Gretchen and Colton. One of the surprising things I enjoyed about this book was the time I got to spend with without constant involvement from the friend group. Even though they were in fine form as always.
I also enjoyed the new side characters who were introduced.
Things I learned today: I have a lot of books to review that I thought I reviewed and did not.
I have nothing bad to say LOL. I adore this series and I have so much fun recommending it to customers when they come in. This absolutely was no exception and continues the legacy of the series on very well. I LOVE the celebrity x regular person trope a lot. I eat it right up. When I saw this was coming out I knew it was going to be a favourite but I definitely wish I'd read this closer to Christmas. I tried putting it off for as long as possible but I wanted to have the review in.... only for me to remember 9328392 years later to post. Anywhoooo
Colton is our golden retriever hero and we love him. The grumpy/sunshine trope was alive and well in this but the role reversal was refreshing. Colton is our sunshine personality, who is down bad for Gretchen who wants nothing to do with him (grumpy). She eventually needs him to do something for her and he uses that as his ticket to get what he wants as well. 1+1= 2 and we have our romance formula laid out right before our very eyes.
I definitely liked this more than I thought I would based on the summary. Not that I expected to hate read it or anything but the summary just wasn't doing it for me and after the Russian's story, I wasn't sure how this would play out. I liked this more than the Russian's which still makes me sad but I'm glad the bromance bookclub redeemed itself.
I miss Lyssa. I need her to give me more material or else I will live in my sadness.
I love the bromance series and this Christmas story didn't let me down! I hope there's more to come in this series
I adore the Bromance series and a Very, Marry Bromance is one of my favorites. I love the grumpy / sunshine trope and in this book, SHE is the grump. This book may not be the best standalone, so if you haven't already read the other books in the series, you might find some parts of this book confusing. If you love steamy, open door romance, this book is right up your alley! It's sweet, swoony, and steamy!
I've had issues with other installments of this series being very ridiculous and stereotypical in how they depicted the main dudes, but since this one was featuring a character I was curious about I decided to give it another chance and I'm glad I did,
4.5 stars
This was another fun and enjoyable book!! It’s the 5th book in the Bromance Book Club series and I’ve read them all. I just love the banter between the characters which keeps me coming back and wanting to read them all!!
I read this one right after reading Isn’t It Bromantic? and a little bit after Christmas. That’s how wonderful this series is.
Fun, enjoyable and entertaining book that had me smiling for almost the entire time I was reading. Great title and such a sweet ending to a perfect Christmas read.
4.5 STARS! 🌠
I missed the boys from the Bromance Book Club!! Reading Colton and Gretchen's story was like coming home. This was such a cozy, yet equally frustrating reverse, grumpy x sunshine romance with all the Christmas-sy feels!!
"The sunshiny one always falls for the grumpy one, honey. It's science."
Colton is our beloved country singer. He has a one night stand with Gretchen at a Bromance Book Club members' wedding. Colton wants more after that night, but Gretchen leaves him high and dry. Fast-forward a year later, Colton is struggling to find his muse and still hasn't forgotten about Gretchen. So obviously, he will stop at nothing to win her Grinch of a heart over!
I was so giddy to come back and catch-up with the beloved characters of this series. Colton had my heart from book one and he was exactly the perfect cinnamon roll, protective hero I knew he would be. Gretchen had her moments where she needed to find some sense because she was just downright maddening, but it all worked out in the end.
This book was filled with laughs, cozy feels, steamy moments, and lots of family drama. Read it for a good time!
Adam's Bromance series is such a joy to read. I have loved this group of friends so much. A Very Merry Bromance was exactly what I was expecting and such a fun read. Colton and Gretchen worked so well together.
This series is the BEST! I'm so glad Lyssa Kay Adams decided to create this cast of men and women for us to follow on their journeys to finding love. And having a story set during the holidays just made it that much more delightful.
I will always read a bromance book. Adams knows exactly who her audience is and between the inside jokes for romance fans and a great cast of characters, this series delivers.
This was SO cute! I have loved all of the Bromance books, but I think this one was my favorite! Colton was so dreamy and I loved the way he cared for Gretchen. There was also lots of wonderful steam and magical Christmas moments! Such a wonderful book!
Like all the books in the series, this book was an amazing hit as well! I can not be objective about this book because it’s truly one of my favorite series ever, so it is no surprise that I’m also gonna rate this one with 5 stars.
This was a fun holiday twist on this series! I enjoyed Gretchen and Colton’s story! I hope there will be more to this series!
i love a christmas romance as much as the next person. and i also really love this series. i'm not sure if this is going to be the last book in the series but if so, it certainly ended on such a sweet note.
my favorite thing about this series is how the author is able to balance the sweet romance with the steamy scenes AND the more difficult things that the characters are always dealing with. these aren't just people falling in love. these are real, tangible people with real, tangible problems. so they feel incredibly relatable. i also love seeing all of the characters crop up in each other's books.
i honestly kinda hope we get even more in this series in the future. or maybe an extended epilogue where we get to see how all of the couples are doing a few years down the line.
This was another fun installment in the bromance series. I have been waiting for Colton’s book. I was a little disappointed it didn’t focus more on his music career. But still enjoyed being back with these ridiculous characters.
This series just wasn't it for me - I wanted to love this one for the Christmas factor but I Think I'm an outlier. The men didn't feel real TBH, but that's just me. Several friends loved this series!
Though the entire series can't seem to quite replicate the magic of the first book, I still enjoyed this book, and the series as a whole. I'm invested in all the character in finding their happily ever after and appreciate this series can make me laugh out loud whenever the book club members get together to talk sense to the hero of the book. This series may be at an end (?). If so, that's ok, but if not, I'll probably pick up the next one.
