Certainly not my favorite in this series. "A Very Merry Bromance" feels underdeveloped. While I appreciate the continued support of meaningful friendships between men, the romance side of the formula is starting to feel played out.

I wish we knew more about Gretchen and Colton as individuals. There was lots of family drama, and overall, the story was quite sad, but I felt like they had no background, and I had no sense of why Colton was so into Gretchen. The pacing related to their relationship development felt off because of this - it felt like they were forced together before they knew anything about each other.

I did love Gretchen's determination in her work, and I appreciated how Colton was always on her side and supporting her.

Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for providing an eARC for review.

Colton is a country singer who needs to find his muse to write his new record. In walks the woman of his dreams Gretchen who wants nothing to do with him. This star has to actually work for her attention and once he has it the Bromance club is going to help him keep it. I love all the romance book trope references and the bromance between this family of guys. Colton and Gretchen shouldn't work, but opposites attract. Plus getting to see past couples has made this Adams book definitely worth the Christmas read.

I am an honorary member of the bromance book club! I love love this series. Colton and Gretchen’s story is sweet and fun! I love that the grumpy sunshine trope was used and so perfectly. You always see a man grumpy and a woman sunshine. In this book. Colton is sunshine and Gretchen is grumpy and it’s just perfect and interesting.

“The lessons of romance novels had taught them all how to be better men, better partners, and better friends to one another.”

My standard is now a guy that has read and actually absorbed how to be a perfect book boyfriend in real life... thank you. No but seriously I really loved this book. I absolutely adore Colton and loved his story. For me it is really rare to consistently love a series, but every single book that Lyssa Kay Adams posts I absolutely love and this was no different.

A Very Merry Bromance is a grumpy/sunshine, second chance, opposites attract story full of heart, hope, and holiday cheer.

When Colton Wheeler and Gretchen Winthrop hooked up a year ago no one imagined that it would be a one night fling. Now, a year later, Gretchen is tasked with getting Colton to sign as the next face of her family whiskey business. Can she get him to make the deal before he ignites the flame inside her heart?

Colton Wheeler hasn't stopped thinking about Gretchen and when his music career is in jeopardy will he find a way to save it? When his reunion sparks a creativity in his writing, will he be able to balance his feelings for Gretchen, his inspiration for new songs, and a life he dreamed of?

What will happen when they need to navigate through family obligations, expectations, and decide what matters most? Friendships are the heart of this series and in each and every book we get to see more of why we love these characters.

Money can't buy love, happiness is only temporary and a desire to please others means nothing if you are not surrounded by people who appreciate you for who you are. The meaning of christmas is different for everyone but for Gretchen and Colton they will discover that the holidays are a time for being with people who care about you, support you and love you unconditionally.

It's time to celebrate Christmas time with the Bromance Book Club so grab your favorite holiday music, pour a cup of your best whiskey, and put on your comfy clothes. If you like a spicy romance that leaves you happy, hopeful and full of heart .... go read this.

While this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. However I highly recommend reading this series from start to finish for a bookcation that is bookclub worthy!

Trigger warning - mention of emotional and physical family abuse which could be triggering for some readers.

This series has had me hooked from the first book and A Very Merry Bromance wrapped it up in a neat little bow. Such a fun read with lots of interaction with all the characters that we love from this series. The chemistry between Colton and Gretchen is off the charts. The way that Colton takes on her family melted my heart and had my cheering out loud for both of them! Loved the book. Perfect holiday romance.

This was too good - Lyssa Kay Adams doesn't miss. I really love how she can make me laugh and cry in the span of a single chapter. This one had me more emotional than the previous books in the series - but damn was it good.

I love this series so much, and really hope there is another one featuring the mysterious Roman. These guys are so hilarious, the part where Pickles walks out of the mud room (iykyk) cracked me up. I love how these stories are written and the sensitivity that the male characters show. This was a grumpy/sunshine, cinnamon roll, found family, personal growth story. If you haven’t started this series, what are you waiting for??

This is such an enjoyable series. I would highly recommended it to any romance reader. This installment focused on country singer Colton and immigration lawyer Gretchen. They were kind of opposites attract but in a great way. Really funny and heartwarming story.

In the 5th Bromance Book Club, country music superstar Colton agrees to be the face of immigration attorney Gretchen's family whiskey brand in exchange for three dates. After their romantic night at the Russian's wedding, Colton knows there is chemistry between the two but can he convince Gretchen not to be a total Scrooge.

I loved all the Bromance Book Club books! The supporting characters really make the books, so I was excited to see Colton get his love story. The Christmas time setting was the perfect backdrop for Colton and Gretchen's love story. Don't miss this!

•bromance book club forever 🥲
•I really loved this, coming back to this series always feels like a warm hug
•I felt the character exploration/backstory was really one sided, focused pretty exclusively on Gretchen BUT I actually loved it. Her story was just more interesting to me, plus Colton had growth but more to accommodate Gretchen’s needs? Idk it just worked perfectly for me
•the more the series progresses, the more it cuts the romance novel excerpts which I miss! This series being meta is my FAVORITE
•*signs up for immigration law so I can be like Gretchen*

Lyssa Kay Adams has done it again! The most recent installment of the Bromance Book Club series is delightful in every way. It was wonderful to watch the slow thawing of Gretchen's heart over the course of this book and the Christmas backdrop was pure perfection! If you are a fan of romances with characters with complicated backstories, second chance romance, and the perennial grumpy sunshine trope this book is for you! A well deserved five stars.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this arc in an exchange for an honest review!

These bookish boys never fail to make me smile! The idea of a bunch of guys reading romance novels and using that knowledge to help their relationships is so sweet and adorable! Not only do I love the romance between the main characters but the friendships of all the guys and their partners is extremely heartwarming.

This book is a sunshine/grump trope romance where the grump is the woman instead of the man. I related to her disinterest of Christmas. Colton, the main male character, is just a golden retriever boyfriend and I just want to hug him!

If you haven't read the bromance book club series, you are truly missing out!

A Very Merry Bromance is the fifth addition to the Bromance Book Club series by Lyssa Kay Adams. With every title in this series, I get more enamoured with the characters in the Bromance book club. What characters! This is Colton’s story…and what a story. Talk about opposites and their unusual attraction.

Colton Wheeler is a multi-platinum country music star who has been floundering as of late in the creative department. His label is pressuring him to work with another song writer to produce his next record. Colton is still perplexed as to why after a perfectly wonderful (by that I mean hot and sexy) evening one year ago (at Braden Mack’s wedding, his story was in Undercover Bromance) Colton was still thinking about Gretchen Winthrop, esquire. Why did she run out the next morning, never to be heard from again?

Gretchen Winthrop is an attorney, in immigration law. She works tirelessly and for little money – and believes that her clients deserve the best that she can give. Gretchen is from a wealthy family – they own a successful whiskey business. When an opportunity arises requiring Gretchen to convince Colton to be a brand ambassador for her family’s whiskey business, Gretchen agrees to try and get Colton to sign with the Winthrop family in exchange for financial support to Gretchen’s non-profit legal enterprise. Well all I can say about that is it is NEVER wise to mix family business with the one person you are attracted to. Sigh… no good can come of this.

There are many ups and downs with respect to the relationship that develops between Colton and Gretchen. I really liked how Colton handled Gretchen’s fears with respect to relationships. Guess the advice he has gleaned from the Bromance Book Club is really paying off!

There is a HUGE amount of Winthrop family drama in this story. At times – I did feel it took a bit away from the “romance” – more than it needed to, in my opinion. I can honestly say – I really hated Gretchen’s brother and was very disappointed in her mother and father. But her uncle at least tried (you will know more when you read this delightful story).

Being a romance, one hopes that in the end boy get girl and they live happily ever after. I say – I was not sure about this ending for a very long time. With all the drama!!! I must say though – there were definitely some chuckle worthy moments (childhood pink, frilly bedroom – and that is all I am going to say 🙂 ). And when Vlad was Santa.

I love the whole group from the Bromance Book club. I love that even though they are slowly pairing off with their new significant others they still keep the book club going. And this time – they even spread the learning to Gretchen as well.

If you like funny, heartwarming, at times frustrating romance with a HEA then I suggest picking up this fifth book in the Bromance Book Club series, grabbing your favourite libation and get reading – you will not be disappointed.

I was scared to read this one not around Christmas, but it didn't seem to take away from the story. I love reading about this gang of friends and will truly read endless books in this series. This story was one of my favorites - loved the musical components.

This was such a cute Christmas read (and I am not a huge Christmas book lover). Lyssa Kay Adams is an autobuy author for me. I love this series so much!

I've loved the heroes of the Bromance Book Club Series but I think Colton is my favorite so far. His lighthearted, aw shucks demeanor is just effortlessly charming, and I just felt myself smiling every time he needled Gretchen. This was the perfect grumpy/sunshine romance, with fun, flirty back-and-forth banter and an insane amount of chemistry. The narrative was entertaining, emotional, and the perfect balance of light and dark. And the romance was sweet, swoon-worthy, and steamy. I enjoyed every second of this book.
