Love this! Would like to have it in print so that I can fill it in and give it to my daughters. It seems to be a book that will take me years to fill out, but perhaps that’s the point.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
The Story of My Life(So Far): A Modern Mom JOURNAL is one of the best journal ideas I've ever read or seen. I received the pdf version to review, and I so wish I had the physical copy to have been able to fill out as I read it.
This journal is for you, as a mum, to fill out to gift your own kids at some point in life so they can get to know you from when you were born, went to school, were a teenager and then a mother. I loved the questions and how thought-provoking some of them were. They brought back memories from my childhood (how I was put to bed, starting school etc) and I wish I had onreceived an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
This is very adorable. I am getting a copy ordered today.
just flipping trough made me want to start writing things down. this is
a great gift for your kids one day, also can be the best journal.
the design on the pages are beautiful and the questions are super smart.
just loved it.
Great thought provoking prompts for a mother to share her thoughts with her children. This is a useful resource, and a nice keepsake for the children. Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book
As a parent, I'm constantly looking at new parenting books, wondering if I am doing this all "right." When I saw this on the shelf, I had to grab it. Discovering and sharing things about myself is really important and this is a great way for me to reframe some of the difficulties of the parenting process, by moving from worrying about my son to sharing aspects of my life with him.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and zeitgeist for my copy of The Story of My Life (So Far) by Tiffany Durrah-Billingsley in exchange for an honest review. It published April 19, 2022.
What a fun, sweet, and thoughtful gift to leave to your children. This is such a neat book and fun of really interesting prompts that I think will really teach your child so much more about you than they may have thought they knew. This would make an excellent gift for a new mom and expected mom or a Mother’s Day gift!
This was absolutely perfect!! I love to journal and have a diary. These pages are intricate and designed very well!! I loved the detailed description of day to day life and all the little details!
I would recommend this to anyone who needs to let out and release everything that’s inside!!
Did you ever wonder what your mother’s life was like? Could you imagine your child(ren) wanting to know about who you were (before they knew you) and are with all of your history and complexity? Are you willing to write a few lines on many topics? If yes, I very highly recommend this journal. It is colorful, includes many quotes about being a parent and asks for answers to questions on topics big and small. A few of these are how you were put to bed as a child, memories of the first time voting, favorite books, what is something that you wish you had known about adulthood and many, many more.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Zeitgeist for this title. I appreciated having an e read of this title but think that I may purchase and start working on the printed book. It would make a great gift for a parent that you know to give to an adult child (I know it is an oxymoron). All opinions are my own.
I lost my mom when I was a young adult. So when I saw this I knew I had to get this. I want my kids to know who I am and what made me me.
The questions are not just average questions. These are questions your kids will really want to know.
Thank you, Zietgeist, for the advance review copy.
This is a very basic journal for the present day moms. I love the basic contents, the concept and the basic design of the the journal prompts.
However, I just wish the illustrated parts comes out better when the journal is in the final physical form.
