A wonderful book to have for children, that are curious about God. Or for parents who want to introduce their kids to God. Who He is and what did He do years ago to humankind? And He still doing great things for us. With a reflection at the end and prayer to finish the story, this book can also a good choice for a present.

Thank you to #NetGalley, #PenguinRandomhouse, #JulieLavendar, and #Children’sBibleStoriesforBedtime This book had me reminiscing of my childhood curled up on my grandpa’s lap listening to him read bible stories to me. The stories have served me well throughout my life. Though I no longer have my grandfather in my life any longer, I have those memories that can’t be taken from me by anyone or anything catastrophe or otherwise. There are illustrations depicting the story to come. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.Make memories with those you love! Get the book....it is available now.

I totally love how Julie made the stories so readable for children. It made me wish I had such a book when I was growing up! I plan to get many copies to give away as gifts. Well done Julie Lavender!

The stories are well done and the illustrations are nice. The reflection questions are less reflecting on God and more about self. "Have you ever ____?" Unfortunately, we would pass on this book for eisegesis reasons.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my review.

This is a beautifully illustrated Bible for young children, I love the extras this book has, including comments, discussion questions and prayers at the end of each short story, I think this would make a lovely gift.

Well-illustrated, and written for a young audience. There is a variety of childrens' Bible storybooks available, ranging from the very simplistic with just a few words alongside pictures to in-depth descriptions of the events. This one is somewhere in the middle, but is definitely geared toward young kids (under 6, I'd guess). The writing is very simplistic, but there's good substance to it. The inclusion of prayers and questions at the end of each story allows for parents to customize the reading experience based on the individual children, and to make the reading more relevant.
This would be a great first book of Bible stories.

The best book from the Publishing house so far!

I find the presentation of this book as the best standard on how to bring out such books!

There are so many stories based on the characters in the Bible. They are short, easy to narrate and easy to read along. The illustrations are perfect: perfect colour choices, perfect artwork.

The reflection parts given towards the end of each story make the book more than perfect!

Thank you, Zietgeist Z Kids, for the review copy.
