Dr Evans latest book on Kingdom Values was a real blessing to me. This book is mainly divided into two major portions. The first part focuses on the definition of truth and why it is important to have a standard for truth that isn’t based upon emotions or what’s popular within the present culture. The second part gets more into detail with how God has promised that we can experience His kingdom while here on Earth by applying the values that are mentioned in the Sermon on the Mount to our lives. This is the part that really opened my eyes. Dr Evans truly has a gift from the Lord for taking the scripture and using analogies and everyday examples to make it easy to understand. I have read the Sermon on the Mount many times over the years and I’ve listened to numerous sermons over this passage but the way he explained each verse and principle was enlightening and revelatory. If I had to summarize Dr Evans latest novel into two key points I would say that his novel emphasizes that: 1. we need a standard for truth that is based upon someone or something greater than ourselves and 2. It is only by applying the truth of scripture mentioned by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount that we can experience God’s Kingdom in our lives. I highly recommend this book for personal reflection and prayer time as well as for corporate study in small groups.

This book is divided into two sections. The first is an overview on the importance of absolute truth, especially in today’s culture where there are no absolutes allowed. This is followed by the best analysis I have ever read or heard on the Sermon on the Mount. I am impressed with Dr. Evans ability to speak absolute truth into today’s culture where nothing is “allowably” absolute. He encourages the Christian to know and maintain truth but in love. His pages on the Sermon on the Mount bring insight and understanding that make sense. It’s not just a list of “Beattitudes,” but a way of life. A path to become like Him. A masterpiece that should be required reading.

This book was another home run hitter by Dr. Tony Evans. His writings and teachings are always on point when it cones to instructions from our Father Jesus Christ. In Kingdom Values, Dr. Evans explains Gods Word through TRUTH on a teaching level that is understanding for all ages. Dr. Tony understood his assignment from Heaven and I thank God for continuing to give him wisdom and knowledge to pass onto us.

This book was amazing. I enjoyed this book so much. I am not a reader, however I read chapters at a time every opportunity I got to sit and read. The way Dr Tony Evans explains and examples he gives are so easy to understand. This book gives understanding of the values we are to live by. This is for everyone.

Tony Evans’ new book, Kingdom Values, is both timely and relevant for today. His book begins with chapters on the issue of Truth—Biblical truth vs worldly truth. Worldly truth says that we each have our own truth; Biblical truth says that God provides the standard for truth. Chaos ensues when people see their own values and opinions as truth instead of relying on God.

The second section of the book goes through the Beatitudes from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Dr. Evans skillfully explains their relevance for today. I was particularly moved and challenged by his discussion on hungering for God, the power in gentleness, and our need to mourn over our sin.

I highly recommend this book to all Christians because we tend to fall into the same traps regarding truth as nonbelievers. Dr. Evans has many great lessons to ponder in this book.

As part of a launch team, I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Truth...nothing but the truth! That’s the best way to describe Dr. Tony Evans’s latest book entitled Kingdom Values. Having read some of his books earlier in life when I was just starting to get more serious about my walk as a Christian, I immediately felt this book and my experience reading it was different.

First of all, Dr. Evans talks about Truth, and what exactly that is. That’s important, because one of the ways that the Enemy gets us is by somehow avoiding the Truth when dealing with us. The Enemy lies, deceives, omits, etc. to get us away from the Truth. When we do this, it’s a lot harder to live out kingdom values. As Dr. Evans states, “God is Truth. Jesus is Truth. The Holy Spirit is Truth.”

Then, in the second half of the book, Dr. Evans uses the Beatitudes to expound upon the specific kingdom characteristics or values we should display as a result of having truth and love in our lives. He describes what each characteristic looks like and the rewards of having each characteristic. One of the points that I never heard explained like Dr. Evans did is that each of the kingdom characteristics builds upon the another one.

Now, going back to my original point, I noticed that this book compared to others that I read in the past by Dr. Evans is still theologically sound, but it’s a lot more personal. When reading a book about the kingdom, you want to know what “[T]hus says the Lord.” You don’t want it to be too autobiographical, because then, it’s about the author rather than the kingdom. At the same time, Dr. Evans knocks this mix out-of-the-ballpark.

You can tell that life has unfolded more for Dr. Evans over the past few years, and to me, that experience lived comes out in his writing in a good way!!! Having experienced more of life’s ups and downs myself over the past few years, his personal anecdotes showed me in a very real way how this man of faith’s understanding of truth and love and commitment to Kingdom values helped him before and after life really happened. It’s both inspiring and instructional!!!

So, what’s my point? Get the book. It’s helpful. It’s relatable. It’s theologically-sound AND it’s practical for everyday life in this current age. Great job, Dr. Evans!!!

If God wills it, I plan on rereading it and referring back to some of the scriptures that he included in it, because I want what I read to stick in my everyday life.

I especially enjoyed the beginning of the book where Dr. Evans defines the Truth. Then the detailed analysis of the Beatitudes gave me new insight that I hadn't thought of before.

This book was written with purpose and power. Life causes us to get side lined and we forget why we must seek and follow Christ. This book got me back in line to hunger and thrst for obedience to Christ. Dr Evans gives great explanations to God's word that leaves you in awe of God's holy Word. We need Christ back in our everyday lives. This well written book reshifts my focus back on God's plan not my own. Must Read!!

God knew we are in desperate need for a revival. A moral, spiritual, and cultural renewing of what we know is truth, honor and integrity. As Christians Gos has a calling on our lives, to go out and make disciples. We have been called to a higher standard than non-believers so that others may look at us and see Christ reflected in our words and deeds. They too want a glimpse the glorious eternal Kingdom right here where we walk, run, rest and play. Look around, we are missing our mark.
Dr. Evans does a masterful job of speaking truth into our spirit and soul. As he eloquently and honestly reveals what Kingdom values reflect God's character and attributes and how we Christians must rethink our words, deeds and mission to get back to advancing God's Kingdom here on earth.
This will be a read and read again book for me, a go to manual for right living, a resource thar is timeless and convicting.

I have enjoyed every Tony Evans book, but this one is by far the most "on time" book for where we are as a people in the world!
Evans structures the book with two parts and fourteen chapters.

- Part 1: The Foundation of Biblical Characters

- Part 2: The Components of Biblical Character

The first part walks through the Author and Perfector of our faith and His Truth displayed throughout Scripture.

The second part discusses in detail the Sermon on the Mount, a very popular passage of Scripture. Despite this section of Scripture being well known among most Christian circles, Evans does a great job of sharing refreshing and valuable insights.

Throughout the entire book, he is convicting, encouraging, challenging, and uplifting, all at the same time. Chapter thirteen displays one of my favorite quotes: "Most of the conflict in our world is allowed to remain and take root because no one wants to deal with the sin that started it." A punch in the gut with needed truth but he also provides the Scripture solution.

The book concludes with a kindness challenge. This is directly related to the national ministry, Urban Alternative and it's campaign called Kindness in the Culture. He provides additional information on this in the Appendix. He describes this challenge as "simple, replicable, and easily transferable".

I truly enjoyed reading the book and appreciate the opportunity to review the book prior to release.

Do feel this nation which is supposed to be the “United States” (not Divided States) and the world is in chaos? Just look at the news for 30 minutes (or less) and then answer that question. In his new book, Kingdom Values: Character > Chaos, Dr. Tony Evans challenges the reader to really examine the truth about the chaos in the world. He also offers simple solutions to remove the chaos. Whether you read the book or listen to the audio, the message will captive, convict, and compel you into action for change. Dr. Evans explains why there is no time to waste, we are in critical times and must remove the contaminates of this world that has polluted our lives and will lead to our demise (mass shooting, pandemics, climate change, racial and political conflict, hatred, etc.).
This is a ‘must read’ for everyone who sees and acknowledges the chaos (or problems) in our world. Dr. Evans provides football analogies to help us tackle the problem and win the championship over chaos. He provides real-life stories that illustrate how real-life problems can be resolved. He adds humorous hope analogies to encourage our hearts. There is a challenge that beats any Tik-Tok challenge created. It is a challenge that can change the world and every person in the world can take the challenge.
Dr. Tony Evans shows great courage in writing about such serious chaos and the calamity of its consequences in the world.
This is definitely a ‘5-star’ and ‘2-thumbs up’ great read book! I plan on giving it as a gift on special holidays and occasions because it is the perfect ‘one-size-fits-all’ gift!

Just finished Kingdom Values. Amazing! Dr. Evans has written a much needed guide to living Kingdom Values in this current culture. Simple yet profound. Truly Holy Spirit inspired.

Dr. Evans exposes a serious problem we face today which is the subject of "what is truth?" Society has steered away from it and basic core values once held true. The culprit-cancel culture, like a puppet, which is being controlled by Satanic forces determined to destroy people, families, and our nation. We are undergoing a "brainwashing" agenda aimed to force people, especially our kids; into submission by believing what was once considered wrong is right and vice versa. We need to wake up and return to the only correct truth which is found in Jesus Christ. To paraphrase Dr. Evans, "there is the world's truth and God's truth, and God is the only one that is right." I enjoyed the connection between a person who is sick in need for a doctor to heal them, and how our nation is also sick and in need for the Great Physician-Jesus Christ. Our world may not recover from this blow if we don't wake up! Dr. Evans' anecdotes tie everything together and add to reader's understanding of this important topic. God used Dr. Evans' ministry to "wake" me up and remind me to put on the Armor of God daily to fight the forces of evil in my life. Thank you, Dr. Evans! The book is easy to read. Great for teens through adulthood. Great for Bible studies! Great for Sunday sermons! I highly recommend this book to everyone, but especially to anyone who feels enough is enough!
