This book is about a marriage of convenience between two childhood friends who had crushes on each other. Laura needs to access her trust fund for her new life with her daughter but her abusive and cheating ex doesn’t want to let her go. Daryl is in need of money to save his family’s ranch. Together both of them concoct this marriage. You would think that it would be easy for them to be together but honestly it’s not. There are certain issues for both of them to get through. God Laura made me a bit annoyed but I get where she’s coming from though. Honestly this book is pretty cute but I just don’t think there’s a wow factor in it. It’s okay but not remarkable if you get what I mean. Other than that, I found out this book is actually fourth in a series but I think you can read it as a standalone. That’s what I did and I didn’t feel lost while reading. One thing I’m mad about is that THERES NO EPILOGUE. Would have given this a 4 if there was one.

This series doesn't suck you in slowly, it grabs you by your shirt and yanks. And I am thrilled. Downside, I have to wait for the next one. Upside, there will be a next one. Thank you for sharing your stories.

Laura's ex is a real piece of work. It doesn't take much to convince Daryl to marry her to get out from under her ex. Best decision she ever made. Just a couple of hiccups along the way but mostly happy story.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Daryl doesn't know how he can afford to keep his ranch going. He meets Laura who he had a crush on from grammar school. She asks for a marriage in name only. The more time they spend together, the harder it will be to leave. This was a great read.

Cute, but not really my cup of tea. The writing left much to be desired. Had high hopes, but wouldn't necessarily read again. Very scattered.

Laura needs to get rid of her cheating ex husbands control over her trust fund, and when she runs into Daryl who is desperate get cash to save his ranch they come up with a marriage of convenience to bail each other out. They soon find that they both want to stay together but neither has the courage to speak up, an accident has them splitting up but then realise they need each other.
